*I’m in L.A. this week with Rocco DiSpirito at the Bertolli event, but just so you don’t miss me while I’m away, here are some pics of our kayaking float down the Paint Rock River last week!
This is a local corn field that had flooded – it was so deep we were able to paddle all the way out into the middle of the field.
For the rest of the trip, we kept seeing little ears of corn floating down the river…
Howie & Rika have *no* idea what’s going on…
We don’t either.
We’ve been getting a lot of rain here lately, and the take out point was also flooded…
We just paddled through the tree line (where the bank would normally be!) and pulled our kayaks right on up to the road!

I have loved reading your blog and have never commented but after all of the amazing adventure pictures I just have to say hello. I am so ready to get the kayak and float on the water. I have a question for you. Where did you get Howie and Miley’s life jackets? I have two bigger dogs, they love to swim but one of them is getting older and I think I would like to get her one to feel more comfortable with her swimming. Wow! I have been coming back and forth to your site for about a year and finally have time to read different things. As I seen the pictures of Alabama cotton and then the Paint Rock River…I am amazed that we are just a hop skip and jump away from one another. I live in a New Market….such a small world. :)
