Fall Brilliance in Asheville, North Carolina
Last fall Kevin and I spent a week in North Carolina during peak leaf season. We were there to do an Instagram Takeover with Visit North Carolina. I was so thrilled for this amazing opportunity. It was without a doubt an unforgettable trip.
Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love all the colors. This year in North Carolina they were absolutely unreal!
We started our tour of North Carolina in Asheville. We were there October 23-27.
The cabin you see in the first picture (at the top) is Winnie’s Place. It’s in Black Mountain, just a few minutes outside of Asheville. We had no idea we’d be getting our own Winnie just a few months later!! :) Loved this cabin and would highly recommend it if you’d like to spend a weekend in the mountains.
While we were in Ashville we got to meet up with some of our favorite friends, Sommer and Dan, the power couple behind one of my FAVORITE websites for recipes — A Spicy Perspective! Be sure to check them out! They took us on a beautiful scenic drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We started at the French Broad Overlook and made our way up to Mount Pisgah, stopping at every pull-off along the way. We hiked the short 1.5 mile trail to the top of Mount Pisgah for an amazing panoramic view of Asheville. You could even see the Biltmore Estate from the top.
The photos really speak for themselves here, so I think I’ll let them do just that.
All the photos you see here were taken along the Blue Ridge Parkway between the French Broad Overlook and the Mount Pisgah Trail (with the exception of the cabin). Visit Greybeard Rentals for more information on the cabin.
This photo was taken at the Biltmore Estate. This is the view from the back of the Estate.
If you’ve ever wondered where to go to see fall colors at their finest, put Asheville, North Carolina at the top of your bucket list.
Until next time!! xoxo
