Hey guys! In just two short weeks I am heading back to Sweden again. A couple of years ago my dad and I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a road trip through Sweden with Volvo and the West Sweden tourism board. I shared our incredible experience here on the blog.
Volvo has an amazing program called the Overseas Delivery Program. When you buy a participating Volvo vehicle, they will send you and a guest on a free trip to Sweden. The program includes two roundtrip airline tickets to Sweden, one night at a hotel in Gothenburg, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Volvo Factory Delivery Center in Gothenburg. You can pick up your brand new car, take it on a road trip along the coast of Sweden, and when you’re done, they’ll ship it back to your local U.S. Volvo retailer for free. Enjoy the vacation of a lifetime with free airfare and no need for rental car expenses. Volvo will also include 15-day European Car Insurance coverage and temporary Swedish registration so you’ll be all set.
Two years ago, they invited me to come experience this program so I could tell you guys more about it when I got back. This year, they invited me to come do it again, with a brand new itinerary… :)
This time around I am taking my super-fun girlfriend Stephanie from the fabulous food blog, PlainChicken.com. Stephanie’s blog is an amazing resource for quick, easy, and delicious dinner recipes made with common ingredients that can be found at any grocery store. I know we are going to have way too much fun and probably get into way too much trouble! ;)
We’ll experience fabulous food, stay in a castle, and relax at a spa. How fun would it be to get a Swedish massage IN Sweden?? :) And I seriously cannot wait to go back for the shrimp. Hands down, Sweden had the BEST shrimp I have ever had in my entire life. I’ve never had anything like it. And it was amazing everywhere we went. I can’t wait to go back!! :)
Check out VisitSweden.com to discover just how much fun and beauty West Sweden has to offer (or just take a look at some of my pictures from 2012!), then enter to win your own trip to Sweden just like the one we’re doing!
Follow me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep in touch while I’m in Sweden. I’ll be sharing lots of photos from our adventure. :)
Thanks so much for looking, friends. Have a wonderful and safe weekend!! xoxo
Next time you should VisitNorway!
I would love to Visit Norway!
The dog diving is beyond awesome! I clicked over to read about/purchase the camera (I really want pics of my little one under water) and the reviews don’t seem very good! I don’t want to waste money if it doesn’t work well. Have you had any issues? Your video was amazing!
Hi Kami! We think it is fine so far. Here is an example of some underwater pictures we have taken with it: Kevin’s Anniversary Surprise. Hope this helps! :)
If you can manage it I would def make a detour to Stockholm! You would LOVE IT!! My favorite city I have ever been to! I will tell you where to go and what to do!
You girls are going to have a blast!!
