Hi friends! Hope you are having a great week. Here’s the Shrimp and Grits recipe I promised you on Monday. We love shrimp and grits. They’re spicy, cheesy, and loaded with delicious bacon flavor. Cook the bacon ahead of time to put this on the plate in 15 minutes or less. A wonderful quick and easy weeknight meal!
Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we do!
I’ve found this recipe on Pinterest and held onto it for a bit. I fixed it tonight for my wife & I. I just wish I would’ve made it sooner. What a fantastic meal! A piece of garlic bread on the side was all I added. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. This is a must do it again recipe!
I’ve made this recipe twice, but I can’t get the actual recipe to show up anymore. I was planning to make it again tonight, but wasn’t sure on proportions. HELP!
We LOVED this recipie. A new favorite!
I think I need help! I’m hoping to make this on Sunday, but no matter what I click on I’m just taken back to the post and I can’t get to the actually recipe. It looks beautiful and delicious! What am I doing wrong? Thanks!
wow, do we have another cook book writer in the family??? That would be wonderful.
This was delicious! My husband is a southern boy but we are stuck in Utah for now and I don’t know much about southern food. We had this for dinner tonight. It was great and full of amazing flavors! Thanks for sharing!
Amanda, this is just wonderful. I love shrimp and grits and your version of it sounds better than delicious. This is my first visit to your blog and I’ve been browsing through your earlier entries. I really like the food and recipes you feature here. I’ll definitely be back. I hope you have a great day. Blessings…Mary
It’s a NEW YOU!! Your new layout is very fresh! But…I do miss seeing you and our smiling face :-(
YOUR smiling face!!
Hi Kevin and Amanda! You must have been reading my mind with this post. As a northern gal (Minnesota) I’ve never tried any sort of grits. Just yesterday on the food network, I watched a whole segment on Shrimp and Grits and, man, it got my mouth watering. Your post remided me how much I want to give this a try. Looks yummy! Thanks for sharing the recipe!
Oh me, oh my, that looks GOOD!!! I’m especially drooling over all that yummy shrimp :) :) Thanks for posting the recipe :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, H eather :)
Hi Amanda! I LOVE your new layout! Looks so fresh and clean ;)
What font is that in your header?
Oh, I so so so so so miss having this dish. I suddenly developed a shellfish allergy in my late 20’s. Hopefully I can make some of your other dishes coming up. You’ve inspired me to try my own hand at food photography. I’ve used your blog design and photography tutorials already in developing my new (and old) blogs. Thanks for the great tips!
Hi Amanda! Love the new look of your blog homepage! Very clean and minimal… Those grits look to die for!
LOVE the new design of the blog!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE :)
Oooooo, I love your new website design! Nice job!!
Oh my! Girl this looks AMAZING!!
I love shrimp and grits! My hubby doesn’t like grits so we rarely have it, but I should totally make it for myself for lunch this week. Thanks for the inspiration! :-)
Looks good! I was just blogging about a recipe and was looking for a good “What’s Cookin’ Wednesday” linky to link up with. Why don’t you start one? You could feature a new recipe from your 6 weeks of ideas each Wednesday and others could link up recipe ideas? Let me know – I’d love to join in and get ideas from others, and I LOVE your recipe ideas!
Shrimp and Grits is a dish I’ve grown to love. I’ve never had it with bacon before so I’m going to have to try that!
I just came across your blog (while looking for handwriting fonts). I am so glad I did! Not only am I going to submit my handwriting, I AM SO HAPPY about aall your SLR tutorials. I just got mine in December and am very much a beginner. Thank you Thank you!
We love Shrimp and Grits. It’s a staple around these parts. My recipe is a little different. I’ll have to give yours a try!
Project Dinner for 6 Weeks is off to a great start!
