Howie has a little squeaky soccer ball that he is obsessed with. Last week when Miley was playing Make It or Miss It, Howie had a few turns with his soccer ball. Now, Howie is a little rounder than Miley, and not quite as quick or agile as his master agility champion older sister. But he sure does try hard, and it’s pretty fun to watch his wiggly little booty fly through the air as he tries to make the catch.

These are such great pictures. Howie just does not give up. I had a Boston, April May, & she loved balls. She would catch them or just let them bounce off her head. If I had known more about Agility training, she would have been perfect. She was so agile & could jump & fly through the air, especially in pusuit of a ball. The bigger the ball, the better. She especially loved full size footballs & basketballs.
Oh how I love that boy! I miss that sweet face so much! He’s so persistent, bless his heart. Please give him and Miley some love for me.

What Howie lacks in skill and agility he more than makes up for in his perseverance and enthusiasm. You can’t keep a good pup down. I know he loves his squeaky soccer ball but he should probably stick to the frisbee for this particular sporting event. :)
OMG! Poor little guy, he worked so hard. Howie was really determined to catch something. My little cocker loved her frisbee until her knees made her stop. Now it is a tennis ball. If Howie’s facial expression could catch the ball he would win hands down. Where was little princess during all of this? You guys make my day with Howie’s entertainment. Enjoyed!

I know you’ve talked about the auto-focus setting you use to take these pictures, but I’m constantly blown-away at how sharp they are. Could you do another in-detail tutorial? I know I’m not the only one who wants to master that skill :).
Howie was the name of our Boston we lost last year to a brain tumor. He was almost 12 years old. My new favorite photo model is our new Boston, Scout. She is 8 months old and the new love of our lives! Your photos are great!
Wow, he is way too cute! Those are such great pictures! How did you get all of it in focus? I can never get it this sharp at F 4.5. Would really love some tips as my pictures of my toddler boy are mostly blurred since he moves so much.

How funny… I stumbled on your site today just googling my husband’s and my names together — and yours came up! (He’s a Kevin too!) We recently adopted our Boston, and are hoping to get him into agility once we can get him to listen a little better. Our pup loves chasing things in the back yard — we get all of these crazy expressions too!
Howie is my hero! He keeps going for it and looks just adorable and hilarious doing it. These are awesome! Please keep this game alive.
