This is the boardwalk at Pensacola Beach. A few weekends ago over Labor Day, Kevin took me here to watch the sunset, dangle our feet over the pier, and walk on the beach under the blue moon.
I brought my camera of course, but when we got there, I realized I’d forgotten my tripod, which I really love to have for nighttime skyline photos.
When I wished aloud that I’d remembered my tripod, Kevin grinned. I brought your tripod, he said. I thought you might like to have it for nighttime photos at the beach.
I think I’ll keep him.

Happy Friday, friends! Have a beautiful weekend.
Beautiful photos Amanda. I have always loved taking night shots. Question, what kind of tripod do you use? I’m only curious becuase alo tof them are so heavy/bulky to lug around, yet if they are travel friendly they are sometimes too lightweight and as I’ve unfortunately discovered, tend to blow over easily in high wind situations (like oceanfronts) . Any sugggestions?
I’m really enjoying lookig through your travel photos. I’ve been to Seattle and Boston, but my dream trip has always been to visit Italy, especially after seeing some of your captivating photos.
Hope your day is inspiring ;)
Hi Janice! Mine’s an Ambico V-0552a Tripod that I got many, many years ago at either Walmart or BestBuy. It was super cheap, but it’s very lightweight and held up great!
How thoughtful! Yes, I think you should keep him!
There are so many awesome things about this post and story; I don’t know where to begin! Mucho points to Kevin for thinking ahead and his timing–it’s always those little things that make us ladies swoon. The pictures are fantastic! I’m pretty new to the blogging world, but I have to say these are the most beautiful pictures I’ve come across yet. I can’t wait to explore your blog further.
You inspire me with every email! Please never stop :)
