1. Open box
2. Take bagels out of box…

Whoops!!! Just kidding. :D We won’t be making bagel bites out of a box! Today we will be making our own pizzas on a bagel! :) These are great when you need something quick and easy to throw together for a dinner/appetizer/snack, like tonight, Kevin had to rush off to agility class with Miley and I only had 30 mins to 1. figure out what to eat, 2. prepare it, 3. cook it, 4. take pictures of it all and 5. still have time left over for us to actually eat it. :p Thank goodness bagel bites did the trick and Kevin had 5 mins to spare! Another thing I like about bagel bites is that you can make as many or as few as you need. Since it was just the two of us, I only used 2 bagels and we had no leftovers. I love having no leftovers! :)

Here’s what all you’ll need…

Pizza Bagel Bites

2 plain bagels, split
1 small jar pizza sauce
1 pkg pepperoni slices
3/4 cup diced fully cooked ham
1/4 cup real bacon bits
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 400. Place bagels face up on a baking sheet. Spread with pizza sauce. Arrange five to seven slices of pepperoni on each, covering the bagel hole with one slice. Top each with ham, bacon and cheese. Bake at 400 for 12-14 minutes or until cheese is melted.

And when it’s done you’ll have this yummy, tasty little snack:

Now, another great thing about these bagel bites is that you can put any pizza topping on it you want. Sausage? Green peppers? Olives? Anchovies? Go try ‘em out and report back to me!! I want to see pics of your bagel creations and be sure to let me know what toppings you used! Maybe I’ll do a whole new post with your pics and ingredients. :) Wouldn’t that be fun??

P.S.

Do you have the Bagel Bites song stuck in your head now?

Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evenin’, pizza at suppertime…

I didn’t have bagels so I used english muffins instead which turned out a little hard but still quite tasty. I will try it next time with bagels.

I TOTALLY have the bagel bites song in my head now, thanks a lot! :P We will have to try these. Have you ever made them on mini-bagels? I thought that’s what you were going to use at first when I started reading the recipe.

YUM!!! These were so good! I had stuff leftover from the Calzones I had made the night before and made these for lunch the next day. I used pepperoni, ground beef & cheese for toppings. Also melted a little parmesan cheese on top. My husband is so picky and he said he didn’t want one because he doesn’t like bagels. But when he saw how mine turned out, he wanted to try it and he loved it. Good thing I made one for him anyway even though he said not to. :) Thanks again for the yummy recipes. Can’t wait to see what else you add! I have a whole list of recipes I want to try from your blog…I’m sure they’ll all turn out great!
