Congrats you guys! I’m so excited for you. That was a fun giveaway — how often does the first comment win?? Plus we have a “Kevin” winner. How fun. I’ve sent y’all an email!

Hi guys, I’ve got a fun Tuesday giveaway to share today. This Wusthof 7″ Santoku is my favorite knife ever. It literally changed my cooking life. Before I got this knife I avoided recipes that required a lot of cutting, especially cutting chicken. Talk about limiting my options. But what a difference a good knife makes! I feel so much more confident to try new recipes with this thing, because it makes cutting so quick and effortless. Prepping for recipes is a breeze.

I love this knife and I want you guys to have it too. I’ve got five (5) of them to give away today, courtesy of Wusthof.

Wusthof 7″ Santoku Knife Giveaway

Five (5) Kevin & Amanda readers will win a Wusthof 7″ Santoku knife, courtesy of Wusthof.

To be entered to win, just answer the following question in the comments section of this post: What one thing do you chop the most?

Contest ends Sunday at 8 pm CST. One entry per person, please. Winners will be chosen by Random.org and notified by email.

Check out Wusthof on Facebook.

Good luck!!

  4. Laura

Veggies- Tomatoes, Peppers, Onions. I try to add veggies to most of the meals I cook in the evening. Dice and freeze and ready to use!

  5. Melinda

Definitely chicken. I prepare my chicken for the week on Sunday’s. Makes the week so much easier when everything is ready.

  6. Amanda

For me it depends on the season. Right now tomatoes out of our garden. Overall, I would say onion and garlic. Thanks for the great giveaway.

  7. Steph and PB&J

Chicken here too! :) And it makes me nervous because I’m not very good at it! Didn’t think about it being a bad knife, so this is good info, thank you! :)

  8. Larissa

Herbs! And they require a nice sharp knife in order to chop them correctly. Otherwise it’s a pain in my patooky!!

  9. Stella Navarro

onions and celery. I love to make homemade green salads and chicken salad for lunch. This knife would be a great help. Thank you for offering.

  10. Natalie

It is either garlic or lettuce. I put garlic in most things I cook. And I make a salad every day. We go through a lot of lettuce here.

  11. Cindy May

I am chopping tomatoes, onions, peppers and cilantro for fresh salsa almost everyday now that my husbands garden is being harvested. My whole family loves it! I would have to say onions would win overall for the whole year though. I just can’t hardly make anything without them.

  12. Nichole

Honestly, the things I cut the most are for my 17 month old daughter. Grapes, pearl mozzarella, chicken, watermelon….you name it, I cut it.

Thanks for hosting an awesome giveaway!

  13. Jane K. Schott

Onions, garlic, firewood, just kidding, and anything else that I can throw in a pan and heat up.
I am taking your word on this being a top shelf knife as I have been looking for one for 3 months. I needed a recommendation and you guys came through.
If I don’t win, I am going to purchase one anyway…but it would be great to get my hands on this beauty.

  14. Debbie from Illinois

Onions!!!! I usually chop a big batch of onions at one time so I will have them in the fridge for the week.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  15. Tracy

I chop onions & celery most often. Carrots are usually right there too. Followed by potatoes. Lots of comfort food here!

  16. Dagmar

This knife seems AWESOME!!! Exactly what I need. I love to cook. I follow as many recipes as I can find online or that are passed on to me. I have made many of your recipes many times and my family loves them. I cut so many thing and I end up using the same old, bad knife for everything. Therefore, a would love a great knife to replace it. I cut many, many foods, fruits and vegetables, but the one I cut the most and would love to have a great knife for is TOMATOES! Love them! I have several plants. I cut them them in half and roast them to have them for the winter and use in almost everything. So, TOMATOES is my answer! lol :)

  17. Nicole Hutchison

I chop/slice/dice/julienne/mince anything and everything. When I’m visiting my parents in KY, we’re chopping onions, green peppers, jalapenos, and tomatoes for relishes. Last summer, I chopped 250 pounds of onion in ONE DAY!!!!! I’m the official Onion Chopper of the family….my eyes don’t water!

Thanks for hosting this giveaway, I’d love to own one of these knives.

    Blessings,
    Nicole

  18. Kiea

Yep, I definitely chop onions more than anything else! I just chopped up a couple pounds of them for dinner last night (goat cheese and onion pizza). We love onions in our house!

  19. cheepincharge

Vegetables of all kinds….chopping…chopping…chopping. Trying to help my husband loose weight, so doing a lot of stir-fry and salads w/ crunchy veggies.

    What an awesome give-away!!

  20. Alison

We are always chopping onions and peppers. Having a better knife would make it so much more enjoyable! :)

  21. kim

seems like we’re all chopping the same thing! garlic and onions! sad that it isn’t stuff like chocolate and fruit for pies! ;)

  22. Wendy Carlile

The thing I chop the most is garlic….I love garlic, the smell, the taste, the flavor it adds to just about everything it touches including my hands!!! :)

  23. Kristi

Almost entirely fruits and veggies. I chop onions more than anything, but need a good knife for things like squash and melons. The wrong knife with a tough rind is always a disaster!

  24. Arilla

It’s funny how a good knife makes you want to cook more and I would definitely love to have one. The one thing I chop most is …. nothing!

  25. Rachael Foulks

Onions, chicken, cucumbers and strawberries. I’m almost always cutting some of those on a daily basis. I could use a great knife to replace my cheap one!

  26. Connie

Fresh fruits and vegetables — all kinds. I live alone and it would be easy to fall into a simple ‘junk food’ mode in life if not careful. Keeping lots of fresh foods on hand makes me stay on a healthy road. Chop chop chop/slice slice slice!!!

  27. josie

Tomatos…I am always slicing or dicing them for sandwiches or salsa and guac…esp in the summer fresh from the garden.

  28. Sue Braithwaite

It would have to be onions….. they seem to be in every recipe I go to make.
    Thanks for the give away!!!

  29. ikkinlala

May Canadians enter? Like a lot of other people, I probably chop onions the most.

    ikkinlala AT yahoo DOT ca

  30. Julie Goble

I would have to say onions as well as many other veggies…potatoes being the most important one to me LOL. My all time favorite dish is fried potatoes with onion….ahhhhh….This beauty of a knife would do quite well with that combo! thanks for the chance to win this great knife!

  31. Jill

veggies here—all kinds, broccoli, onions, zucchini and the like but I find tomatoes are the worst without an AWESOME knife

  32. Blair

tomatoes, garlic, onions, and cilantro- love a great knife to help out! Still using my college silverware to get the job done and it is not pretty!! haha- help a young, single professional!

  33. Debora Julien

Vegetables… Celery, carrots, onions… they are the base of almost everything I
cook.. soups/stews/salads.. I could use an Excellent Knife..Fingers are crossed ;-)

  34. Rochelle

Like others, veggies are the most chopped in our house! I cut a lot for the kids’ plates – carrots, peppers, cukes, etc.

  35. Marilyn Bronson

Onions are it and my son has that knife and loves it. I bought it for him for Christmas a few years back and I should have bought one for me too!

  36. Kami

I cook a lot, therefore I chop lots! Onions, green peppers, garlic..the list goes on and on. Confession-I don’t own a chopping knife, never have. Everything I chop is done with a steak knife, embarrassing I know.

  37. Jill

I would chop anything out of my garden. I can’t wait for more tomatoes to ripen so I can make more tomato juice and salsa!!

  38. Tricia

onions!!! just like everybody else…what’s funny about it is that i’m not a huge fan of onions…i normally pick them out. thanks!!

  39. Kristen

Onions, peppers and tomatoes!! Would LOVE this knife – I don’t have a great set and it would be awesome to have an amazing, quality knife. Thanks so much for a great give-a-way! :)

  40. Shannon

I do chop veggies by the bundles — mostly tomatoes and onions. I need an awesome knife to cut sensibly tomatoes. Thanks for the opportunity!

  41. PatriciaD

I have to agree with many others that onions is what I chop the most of…almost every day and almost every meal it seems like.

  42. Marty

I don’t think there’s a day that goes by where I don’t chop food! I chop mostly vegetables such as onions, carrots, zucchini, red peppers, mushrooms and cucumbers. During the summer months it’s fruits galore! Thanks for the giveaway!

  43. Linda Hare

I chop a lot of vegetables, but mostly onions. I also cube a lot of cheese. Is that bad? You don’t have to answer that.

  44. Tring

I would have to say onions and this knife looks like it would do it faster and that would help in avoiding the tears.

  45. Gwen Templeman

Fresh Garlic! Makes every savory meal better. Could not live without it. Onions and fresh basil come in a close second and third!

  46. Tiffani

Chicken. We have it for like half of our meals. And I could use a good knife to ease my chicken-chopping pain. :)

  47. Katie

I would love a knife like this! I would say onions are what I chop most, I put them in just about everything! ; )

  48. JESSE G.

Veggies, veggies, and more veggies!. I use so many vegetables it’s not even funny…(therefore I chop so many)….hope I win!

  49. Jessica

Oh I seriously want and need this. I would say the thing I chop the most that is the most difficult for me is sweet potatoes! We love baked sweet potato fries and I nearly kill myself with my knives! Lol.

  50. Laney Lea

I’m a HUGE veggie person and just can’t get enough them, especially tomatoes, I use tomatoes in almost everything! I’ve been obsessed with them since I was a kid, but it is SO difficult to cut the good ones without ripping or crushing, this knife would be amazing!

  51. Teresa

The first word that came to mind was onions, but I think it might be chicken. My SIL has several Wusthof’s and I love to chop when I’m at her house, but I don’t have one, and my knives don’t compare. Someday, maybe this time.

  52. Brittany

Definitely Chicken. Always making chicken for something!! I love those smooth knifes for cutting meat. I’m even making some buffalo chicken rice tacos tonight!

  53. Shona

Onions here as well. Actually, I buy meat in a monthly shop and chop it all in one day to freeze for later use, but the onions I am chopping every day to go with whatever is the order of the day!

  54. Tatum

Onions, bell peppers, tomatoes, potatoes… the list goes on!

I hate cutting chicken {I typically use scissors, but having a nice knife to get the dirty job done would be A-mazing!}.

  55. Jess

Veggies and fruit would be at the top of my list. Slicing tomatoes gets pretty scary with a not-so-good knife once in a while!

  56. Valerie

    Onions!
Onions add such great flavor to so many dishes, so I spend a lot of time slicing and chopping onions.

  57. Rachel Abbott

Onion, Onion, Onion! I put onions in almost everything. I am forever chopping raw veggies and third would be chicken for sure! The knife looks fabulous!
    Thanks!

  58. Jill

I chop onions a lot and hate to do so! I have the Pampered Chef Chopper, however, I feel that it minces them too much! I would love to have this knife!!!

  59. Kjersti Morris

Onions, and for some strange reason I’m always making spaghetti squash (my healthy and less guilty version of “real” spaghetti) which is very difficult to cut in half!

  60. Lillian Child

Tomatoes! Lordy, just look at the number of responders … if you find my email and pick it, it will be nothing short of a miracle with all these other entrants! But will keep my fingers crossed as I do not have even ONE good knife in the drawer!

  61. Amanda Meier

I cannot pick one thing so I will say VEGGIES! I make my husbands lunches ahead of time and he loves raw veggies in his lunches. We LOVE our local farmers market here and so Im always chopping our veggies at the begining of the week and making lunches for the the whole week so I can think about other meals throughout the week.

  62. Sentrell

Spinach! Crazy I know but I am a huge fan of spinach. In Omelets, Salads, Pasta…I just love Spinach. I use it 3 times a week. LOL

  63. Kellie Jaramillo

I am not sure what I chop most…..and since it is summer I am surrounded by the fresh produce so I am cutting up EVERYTHING!

  64. Mel

Oh man, what a great giveaway! A roommate of mine recently moved out, taking all of the decent knives with her! I’d have to say I chop onions and mushrooms the most. Every recipe my mom ever taught me had onions (and garlic) in it, and mushrooms are my own version of that for-all-recipes ingredient!

  65. Dottie Williams

Onions for sure! Since I love them so much I cook them all the time! THIS knife looks awesome! Thanks for sharing with the rest of us!

  66. Lacey P

I chop Bell Peppers more than anything else. My man loves them in everything but only if they are diced very small…sort of annoying but cute at the same time!

  67. Denise

At home I would have to say onions. At work (I am a Elementary School Lunch Lady) I can happily say fresh fruit.

  68. Sonjasunshine

Garlic and onions – it’s a tie. If I’m chopping one, I’m most likely going to be chopping the other one next!

  69. Andrea

It would either be onions or apples. I use onions in a lot of recipes, but I have four kids and we eat a lot of apples. I have been thinking lately about how badly I need some new knives. I’m not sure I would know how to use a knife that actually cuts things!

  70. Kristin

What an awesome knife!! The thing I chop the most is going to have to be potatoes or apples. An even split. My kids love their apples cut a certain way and we eat a LOT of potatoes.

  71. chelseyadele

Chicken… :( Believe not easy with my old cheap walmart knife set. My familys fav meal is a cheesy chicken recipe thats real easy to cook except trying to cut up all that chicken!

  72. chaddswife

Fruit – you need a good sharp knife to peel and section an orange! Tomatoes also need something good and sharp or they smoosh!

  73. SUSAN FROMMER

ONIONS AND CHICKEN. ONE OF MY AIREDALES IS ON THE RAW FOOD DIET AND I HAVE TO CUT UP CHICKEN BACKS EVERY COUPLE OF DAYS.

  74. Cindy Davis

I chop veggies all of the time. Sometimes I use an electric chopper or Pampered chef chopper, but it is so much quicker with a good knife. Easy clean-up, too! Thanks for the chance to win.

  75. Tanesha

I chop a lot of vegetables and also fruit lately as I’m making homemade baby food. Thanks for the giveaway opp.!

  76. Michele V

Lots of red peppers, onions and cucumber – and any other veggie you can think of! Looks like a great knife!

  77. Joni Olson

Basil, basil, basil! I love the flavor fresh from my patio. Especially this time of year with tomatos from the farmer’s market and fresh mozzarella balls. Makes a decadent tomato salad. Main course.

  78. Bernice

All sorts of veggies. We’ve been on a bit of a roasted veggies kick lately. Oh, and white chocolate and cranberries for our new favourite cookies.

  79. Jessica

I would say what I chop the most are fresh herbs.. but also a lot of chicken.

    thanks for another great giveaway!

  80. Jennifer Uribe

I chop red bell peppers the most. They are my favorite thing to add to salad, to meet, to eat raw by themselves.

P.S. This is my hubby’s dream knife!

  81. Lindsey

The one thing I chop the most is definitely Basil. I love love love basil, as can be seen if you were to look in my backyard, we have 5 big terracota pots that are just overflowing with basil leaves! And just because they are leaves, doesn’t mean they don’t need a nice sharp knife to delicately slice them up to put in my favorite pasta dish! :)

  82. Teresa Zuehls

I would have to say vegtables like onions, potatoes, carrots and peppers. I use them in most of my dishes.

  83. Brittany

Well, it used to be onions, but now that I live alone it’s definitely chicken. I have to make recipes that are good for left overs, and chopped up chicken is an easy go-to!

  84. Nima Ferguson

Salad stuff! My kids and I have salad almost every night, and chopped salad with lots of veggies is a favorite. These are the best knives for salad since you can cut tomatoes, lettuce, everything with just one knife!

  85. Ashleigh Panelli

I feel like I chop onions the most! I try to get it done fast before my eyes start watering…but that never happens! I always look like I’ve been balling for hours after I’m done!

  86. Lori C

Chicken. I make so many chicken dishes I’m sick of poultry, but it’s one of the only meats my soon-to-be vegetarian five-year-old will eat. So, I chop a lot of chicken. :)

  87. Sherry in Oklahoma

Equal chopping of onions and garlic. I ALWAYS use both in practically all my recipes. CHOP, CHOP, TEAR, TEAR

  88. Carolyn Hetrick

I’m like a lot of people; the thing I chop the most is onions! Having a good knife makes it so much easier to assemble great salads and soups (two of my favorite things)!

  89. Jillian

Onions and garlic! I put them in everything possible- as it appears does everyone else. I also chop up a lot of tough doggie cookies- possibly why my current knives aren’t as sharp as they once were. Oops!

  90. Michelle

I am a big believer in the old saying “An apple a day, keeps the doctor away.” I would honestly say, I chop up delicious apples the most!

  91. Heather Harper

I would say I chop onions most often. I just bought that knife for my niece’s wedding. I would love to have it too.

  92. Megan

What’s up with all the onions??!!
The thing I cut up the most is ♥ STRAWBERRIES ♥ Yummy Yummy Yum!
Okay – I guess I don’t actually “chop” them, I just cut cut off the top and cut them into quarters. Does that still count?

  93. Izabela M.

The one thing that I chop the most of is onions and potatoes…seems like these two are the staple food in our family :)

  94. Kandi Mulligan

All the goodies needed for pico de gallo . . . people at work say mine’s the best they’ve tasted. Vine ripened tomatoes, scallions (not onions . . . scallions my friends!), jalapenos, cilantro and lime. Yummmy!

  95. Abby

Veggies…lots and lots of veggies…I take a salad almost everyday for my lunch and chop any veggie I can possibly find to throw in!

  96. Maryvel

Onions! I chopped onions every single day! Just can’t cook without them! Man a knife like that one would my job so much easier! Thanks for the chance to win one! Take care!

  97. Jenny Langham

We have Wusthof knives and love them, I need this one!!!!!!!! I cut a lot of cauliflower, so tasty!

  98. Shanika Ward

I chop a TON of onions especially since the fall season is near! Cant wait to start chopping tons of veggies for soups! My fav: Chicken noodle- a classic!!!

  99. Misty Sutton

Fish! I’m a pescatarian and I eat a lot of fish, fish stew, etc, and I feel like I’m forever cutting up fish!

  100. Christina

I’m always chopping lettuce and other vegetables! The knife looks like a great addition to anyone’s kitchen!

  101. Courtney Noel

Veggies! Hands down the most chopped thing in my kitchen – whether they’re for dinner tonight or for freezing for the rest of the week!

  102. Vicki

    Definitely onions.
I’m as fast as I’ll ever be at chopping them up. I’m experienced and always in a hurry but will probably slow down as I age.

  103. Lisa

I chop a lot of onions! They sell them in a big bag at my local discount grocery store. Of course I’d rather buy one big bag for 2 bucks as opposed to by the pound. Since I have a lot of onions, I put onions in everything! Except cookies… and cakes… okay not everything. :)

  104. Amanda

This summer it has been melon. All differnt kinds, my family can’t get enough. I would love a knife. Thank you

  105. Becky

Zucchini! I love zucchini and rice with soy sauce. I would love a knife like that so I could cut up the zucchini like that do at the hibachi restaurant.

  106. Judy DeWitt

Obviously, it’s got to be #1 on the answer list. It’s onions. I mean, chopping an onion is probably the most common kitchen food prep. that every cook has to learn. I have a similar knife that I use a lot, but it is a Kitchen Aid and hard to keep sharp. I’d love to have a new one. Thanks for the opportunity, even tho the odds are a little daunting!

  107. The Farm Girl

Wow I chop so many things everyday. Vegetables and meat and the #1 things at my house. I never knew that an amazing knife could change your life and change how you cook.

  108. kristen

Vegetables. All the vegetables. And my knife is not great, which sometimes makes me not want to make vegetables. *bag on head*

  109. Sara A.

Onions…I use them in just about everything. A close second would be jalapenos, we like our food spicy!

  110. Leslie

Depends on the time of year and what our garden is putting out – right now lots of garlic, onions, tomatoes, and fresh herbs. Soon enough it’ll be apples, squash, and more onions :) Oh, and carrots. Always lots and lots of carrots.

  111. Jocelyn

I have to say I’m always chopping onions, but I’ve also found myself frustrated when trying to slice tomatoes with a subpar knife.

  112. Betty

    One thing?
I chop peppers the most. We eat red, green, orange and yellow peppers in darn near everything!

  113. Emily M

I think either onions or tomatoes. I have been wanting one of these knives! Thanks for chance to win one. :)

  114. Miranda

It seems like the ONLY thing I ever chop in this house is potatoes!
Being from the South potatoes are stuck into every meal as a side or even a main dish! I have made every version of roasted potato I can think of…
    Love the knives!

    Miranda
    Huntsville, AL

  115. ileana

I too have to say onions, though tomatoes and cilantro are a close second! I would love to try this knife! Thanks ;)

    ileana

  116. Jan

Green and red peppers and onions are the main thing I cut up always. New home and old knives but new ones are on our list. Bought one all-purpose fish filet knife and it comes in real handy.

  117. Frani

It’s so very seasonal…OnIoNS, gARLiC, yummmmy fresh CilAntRO, lots & lots of fresh vEgGieS, SqUash and protein packed NUTS!!

  118. Julie Marshall

Onions are definitely what I chop the most, though I usually try to delegate that job to my darling husband :) I find myself slicing lots of mushrooms too :) We would definitely love to share this knife!

  119. Andrea Corn

Like so many others, onions! I don’t even particularly care for onions but it just seems like they are in every recipe!

  120. Elizabeth Parsons

Onions and garlic until I got my electric chopper (amazing invention), so now it would probably be tomatoes or peppers!

  121. Jeannette Palmer

My least favorite vegetable to chop, but the one I chop the most is onions! I need a great knife to make it easier!

  122. Kathy T

Onions. it seems that we put onions in everything we cook. so a better knife would likely lead to fewer tears, right?

  123. Bekki

Having lived in Italy and now Germany (onion-obsessed countries) , I know that chopping onions sometimes sucks. Chopping onions with this knife? Would suck less. So much less….

  124. Jessica M

Onions and other veggies. I would love a nice knife…I have a decent set, but they’re never as sharp as I’d like.

  125. Kristina L

I put chopped veggies in everything. (My husband, who was raised on Wonder Bread and chicken nuggets has adjusted!) I probably chop green peppers and onions the most.

  126. LINN HAWKINS

I love to chop salsa ingredients, onion, tomatoes, jalpeno pepers, green peppers, cilantro and anything else I might have on hand to toss in.

  127. Kristi Johnson

For the past 3 weeks it’s been apricots (and apricots, and apricots…) What I wouldn’t give to dice some celery or an onion! :)

  128. Teresa

I love a good chopped salad, this knife would be perfect! Cucumbers, carrots, celery and of course the lettuce… =)

  129. Angela L

This would make butterflying a pork tenderloin super easy! I use my Pampered Chef version of the “slap chop” for all my veggies (which I adore!) but for meats and fruits this would work wonders!

  130. Holly R.

Lately I’ve been chopping chicken and apples! I’d rather have an apple cut up for me than bite into it. Thanks!

  131. Amber

TOMATOES! You truly can’t cut a tomato without a great sharp knife! Once got 58 slices out of one Roma tomato!

  132. Beverly R

Well, it seems I am always chopping onions and tomatoes. Everything is better with both of those ingredients!

  133. Mollie

Veggies. They differ depending on the time of the year, but we chop a lot of veggies. Especially when I am making baby food :)

  134. Steffi

Onion! But I have an onion chopper for that. I lurve it.

For things I actually chop by hand it would probably be potatoes!

  135. Jessica Williams

Vegetables! My lover & I tend to chop up a lot of onions, green peppers, and mushrooms that we sautee and put over steak <3

  136. Connie B

I cut lots of chicken too :) Also crunchy veggy’s like carrots, green pepper, onion! Thanks for a chance to win :)

  137. wendy

Probably onions because I make a lot of soup and every recipe has onions in it. We could use a good knife around here.

  138. Amy

This seems to be one of the most popular answers, but onions are what get chopped the most in our house. Thanks for another great giveaway! Amy

  139. Lacey

Definitely vegetables. Onions, garlic, carrots, lettuce. We have a salad and a vegetable with every dinner meal so definitely vegetables!

Onions! Anything that would speed up the process of chopping an onion is great! Makes me want to cry just thinking about it ;)

  142. Rose Mary

For the last couple months I’ve been chopping apples! My tree has an amazing crop and I finally see the end coming up soon. We’ve had wonderful desserts, and I froze several containers of applesauce.

  143. Kara

Fruits & Veggies! 5-7 times a day, YIKES! Instead of buying baby food, my husband and I puree her food so it’s always fresh and we know it’s safe to feed to our most prized possession!

  144. Kyra

The thing I chop the most is probably carrots for my kids. We go through them like crazy! Thanks for the chance!

  145. Sallie

I chop vegetables the most, all vegetables! And WAR EAGLE! I just found your blog and noticed your picture with your husband today.

  146. Kindyll

Definatly chicken. I have to cut thme now with some sad little knives I got seven years ago at my bridal shower. They are so sad! I need this knife ! lol

  147. Susan

Onions – I use onions for salads, soups, hamburg mixes for burgers, meatloafs, etc., and I agree that a good knife changes your cooking. It makes life so much better. I have just recently purchased a good knife because I received a gift card. I am so glad I did. I would definitely like another.

  148. Susan

I chop onions almost daily… I guess that makes me pretty average in the kitchen. But they are so yummy once they caramelize in dishes and they can go in almost anything. Staples at my house include soups, scalloped potatoes, and my world famous “Frankie Taters”, my father-in-law’s creation.

  149. Veronica Phillips

What I chop most is ONIONS. I can’t tell you how much I love these sweet, hot and savory things. If I could I would put onions in everything I make and be one happy camper. My husband and son think I’m crazy. But hey, what’s life if you can’t enjoy the little things? Right?

  150. Becky

Fresh veggies! Just moved in to my own apartment and trying to stock my kitchen and cook healthy at the same time- farmer’s markets keep my kitchen full of vegetables to be chopped!

  151. Becca

Onions, onions, onions!!!! I’m always trying to “convince” one of our daughters to chop them for me :)

  152. Jonelle

Onions. I recently moved out to the east coast and had never had perogies until my boyfriend introduced me to them. They are now a staple in our diet and we finely chop up onions to fry up with the perogies!

  153. Natalie

Wow, great giveaway. I mostly cut veggies, but I don’t own a nice knife. I use a steak knife……terrible I know. This knife looks amazing!

  154. RaChelle

Vegetables….with all the garden vegetables coming on I seem to chop many. Especially all the yummy ingredients for fresh salsa!

  155. Kristin

The Trinity (onions, carrots, celery)! I use this combo as the foundation for so many dishes- especially during the rainy seasons here in Oregon…and we are talking a loooonng rainy season here, so I chop A LOT! :-)

  156. Jane

We LOVE to eat roasted vegetables. We are always chopping up onions, squash, carrots, etc. to roast for dinner.

  157. cheryl

What do I chop the most? Any type of onion including regular onions, green onions, garlic and shallots.

I’m looking for some new knives, this would be a great way to start.

    thanks

  158. Jen Nikolaus

Onions, onions, and more onions! Oh yeah, and garlic too! :) I feel like I’m always chopping vegetables!

  159. Meagan Dowdle

I am always chopping up chicken for your amazing creamy chicken enchiladas! I love that recipe and I make it about once a week. I’ve shared that recipe with a lot of people too!

  160. Lindsay

I chop a LOT of chicken. And salad fixins’. Like tomatoes. Chicken and tomatoes are the banes of my current knives’ existence. :)

  161. Leslie B.

Chicken for me too! We eat it all the time and I would love a better knife for cutting it in the first place, mine knives from my wedding 12+years ago have seen better days:)

  162. Michele schmitz

Chicken. And of course Onions. I love good Kitchen utensils! Nothing worse than a cheap knife and lots of pain in the hand and arm.

  163. Chris Carson

I love chopping just about anything!!! I am a wannabe chef. I especially enjoy slicing tomatoes really thin. It is amazing what a good knife can do.

  164. Loralei

I’m always chopping onions…and crying! During the summer, I also seem to chop a fair amount of celery, too!

  165. brittany jeppson

Hmmm….besides almost chopping my fingers a few times, I think tomatoes or chicken take the cake! I chop these two all the time. I mostly cut chicken with scissors because I have never had a knife that can do the job! I sure hope I win this knife so I can see for myself how great is it!

  166. Anth

It’s probably a tie between chicken and potatoes. (I use dried minced onions because I HATE chopping onions.)

  167. Chelsea

Ever since I watched Rachel Ray chop garlic, I knew I could go beyond the minced garlic in a jar and chop my own fresh garlic for my recipes. Never gets old smashing a garlic clove and then chopping away…

  168. Sue

Not by choice, but I seem to be chopping onions a lot. Would love to have a great knife to make the job easier.

  169. Elyssa Baity

    Hi Amanda :)

Thanks for posting such an awesome giveaway! I love reading about your favorite things!!

I definitely can’t say what I chop THE MOST, but I know I could definitely use this knife to chop my carrots! My other knives aren’t sharp enough, so when I try to chop quickly, the pieces go flying EVERYWHERE!!! If I had a sharper knife, chopping my carrots would be a cinch! :)

  170. carlita gonzalez

turkey breast and lots of veggies !! hubby is a MMA fighter so i am in the kitchen making food 4-6 times a day. crappy knifes are no good so it’s awesome that you are doing this giveaway!

  171. sprittibee

I chop veggies most. I would have to say onion would top the chart. I cook almost all my meals at home, though – especially lately… and lament the state of my knife drawer. I so want to win this.

  172. Jessica Young

Being raised in the Pacific Northwest, we always had a garden. When my husband and I were finally at a point that we were looking for property to buy we ended up back in the Pacific Northwest and one of my main stipulations was that I have enough room for a LARGE garden. We finally found the perfect spot and this year were able to put in my dream garden. So when I saw this come up, the answer was easy – fresh vegetables from my garden. I love going out and picking a big bowl of beans, squash, swish chard, carrots, onions, peppers and lettuce, washing it all and chopping it up to get it ready for the week. Nothing as wonderful and satisfying.

  173. Lynn

Since we have started eating healthier….I love chopping up veggies! Especially red, green and yellow peppers! Onions too….but they make me cry!!

  174. AnnieM

I chop soooo many things, but probably vegetables for salad is the thing I chop the most…I would say I chop peppers more than anything else, though. I LOVE peppers..red, green, orange, yellow. Yum.

  175. Kayla

For sure, it’s onions…but I also chop a lot of garlic, cilantro, peppers & fresh veggies from my garden or local farmer’s market. I slice up strawberries for my baby every Saturday when we get back from Farmer’s Market. :)

  176. Sharie T

I know this may sound funny but my husband eats cheddar cheese every night. We buy it at Costco by the 5lb brick!!
    Thanks for sharing.

  177. Lori

This sounds like an amazing knife and the thing I’m chopping the most is onions and lots of fresh vegetables. So this would help a lot!! Thank you

  178. Sylvia

Sadly, there’s nothing I chop the most, BUT having a knife like this would change that!!! I’m definitely trying out more recipes, especially because saving money and eating healthy are important for me and my fam!

    Thanks!

  179. Tabitha A.

I would have to say onions and meat! I just invested in a mushroom slicer and it is the neatest thing ever, otherwise mushrooms would be on the list as well. LOL

  180. Jessica W

The thing I chop the most is probably tomatoes, we have them in salad, pasta, on sandwiches, you name it!

  181. Nicole

I would have to say onions…i’m certain this fabulous knife would assist in decreasing the amount of tears i shed, while doing so :)

  182. Melissa K

We eat lots of raw veggies, I think it would be hard to narrow it down to just one variety! Maybe onions, they seem to be the most labor-intensive. I badly need a new knife, what a great giveaway!!

  183. Jennifer H

I tend to cut up a lot of chicken and garlic. I use a lot of onions as well, but I like to cut those up in my mini food processor (saves on the tears!) Have totally been wanting a Santoku knife!

  184. Donna Orr

ONIONS! I chop so many onions that seems to be the thing I am chopping the most these days for the family.

  185. Tina Choszczyk

I chop lots of things, but I think onions would be the most frequent. I use them in everything !

  186. Sherry

I chop lots, but mostly veggies I suppose! :) This morning I chopped up some cinnamon toast for my boys, your knife can never be too big for that!

  187. Michele Brown

Onions….always onions…and as I learned this week from the movie, “The Help,” which was terrific, put a matchstick in your teeth while chopping and you won’t tear up! Thanks for the giveaway!

  188. Tina Choszczyk

I chop lots of stuff, but I think onions are about the most frequent…. I use them in everything I cook !

  189. Monica L Stover

OMG, I have been drooling over this knife forever! I cut everything in my kitchen, from the meat in the freezer to the fresh veggies in the fridge. I don’t discriminate!

  190. Jamie (Mama.Mommy.Mom)

Onions! I feel like I am constantly chopping onions. Green ones, sweet ones, big ones, little ones. Onions everywhere! LOL

  191. Valerie B

I seem to be always chopping onions!
As an aside, I gave my son and daughter-in-law a set of Wusthof knives for Christmas, but didn’t want or maybe didn’t think they wanted one of these.
Thanks for the chance to gain one of my own!

  192. Aprile Smith

I chop vegetables the most…onions, peppers, cucumbers and carrots. Seems I am always chopping those for something! A great knife would be awesome to chop with. Thanks for the opportunity.

  193. Lisa

Currently the thing I’m cutting most often is anything I’m giving to my 1-1/2 year old to eat. :) Second though would be onions.

  194. Suzanne

I make my own homemade salsa! So I chop everything: tomatoes, cilantro, onions, garlic, peppers…it’s a lot of work but absolutely worth it!

  195. krkuntz

my fingers! Hhaha just joking…although i did nic myself yesterday. I love chopping fresh veggies to sautee or grill:)

  196. Mary

Definitely onions, which is probably crazy since it’s one the things you can always buy in the produce section pre-choppped and without tears.

  197. Audrey

Celery! I basically eat carrots, hummus and celery for lunch every day and so it’s the one thing I’m cutting on a daily basis.

  198. edyB

We all seem to chop the same things ~ onions and garlic!!!
Would love to have this knife.
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
    Now let’s go chop….

  199. Luann

tomatoes, onions, peppers….all of the ingredients for homemade salsa. We like extra chunky homemade salsa which leaves me hand chopping everything! :)

  200. Kristin

This week? It’s been garlic. Pulled the old iron skillet out on Sunday and she’s never left the stove. We’ve done chicken and mushrooms with garlic and mushrooms again later. Oh, and for a snack, I did mushrooms.

So, I’ve chopped garlic a bunch this week.

    I hope I win!

  201. Anita

I love fresh vegetables as often as I can get them. So I cut corn off cob, chop onions, broccoli, mushrooms and often have stir fry. A good knife is always the most important thing!

  202. Jessica Garza

I definitely chop onions and tomatoes the most. Well, that and chicken…my family LOVES chicken alfredo!

  203. bethany

I don’t chop much, but my hubby does! And I’d say #1 is either garlic or onions. They go in everything.

  204. Stephanie

Onions. Loads of onions. Followed by celery, basil, carrots and potatoes (both white and sweet) We do a lot of chopping here. With sub par knives. *puts out treats for the random number generator* :P

  205. Stacy Kong

The one thing I cut the most is onions! I hate cutting onions, as it burns my eyes, so chopping it up with a really good knife and very fast will help eliminate some of that.

  206. judy

i love celery i cut them in bit size pieces but sometimes if the knife is not sharp you get the strings
and i hate pulling the strings off

  207. Marie Z. Johansen

Onions! This shape knife is THE perfect shape. I have to agree with you and I am so delighted to have an opportunity to enter for a change to win one. Thank you – and also thank you very much for generously sharing your scrapbooking fonts !

  208. Kari

Oooh, I love great knives and chopping/cutting. I love cutting an onion in all the different ways: slices, diced, shaved, minced.

  209. Lana

I cut up chicken a lot…and I dread it every. single. time. I hope I win, so I won’t have to dread it anymore!

  210. Amy Fine

Without a doubt it’s gotta be onions, they are in about everything, but I like my onions super tiny. Great knife, would love to have it. Happy chopping!

  211. Ruth Berry

Bacon. odd, I know. it’s bacon.

in second place, leeks. love them.

Bacon and leeks together – ohmy.

  212. Kim S.

I am always chopping up lettuce, tomatoes, onions & chicken. These tend to be main dishes at our house several times a week!

  213. Jennifer P.

I think I pretty much chop a lot of things the same amount…onions, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce….and occasionally carrots.

  214. kelli mc

onions! I put them in almost every dinner, and even though they sometimes make me cry, I love cutting those little stinky guys!

  215. Mickey Thompson

    Hi
Been following your blog for quite a while now and enjoying the places you visit and the wonderful foods that you photograph! Wouldn’t that knife be a wonderful edition to me kitchen! Mine is old and horrible!

  216. Robin D

Sorry nothing imaginative or creative here…onions. They make me cry but oh they really add something to the dish, making it so worth the effort and the tear ;)

  217. Di

I barely chop anything, but my amazing cooking husband is forever chopping veggies and would love to get a new knife.

  218. Donna

Oh my gosh, the difference between a good knife and just a knife is amazing in the kitchen. A nice 7″ would chop, mince and dice all of my veggies so nicely! That’s what I will use mine to do first – chop and dice the fresh veggies from my garden!

Thank you for such a wonderful giveaway!

    Many blessings, Donna

  219. Tiffany

I would chop all the amazing ingredients for a crock pot of my mom’s beef stew. I can smell it right now!

  220. Amanda Brandeburg

I chop lots of veggies for different things from pizzas, stir frys, salads… Most of the time it is red and yellow bell peppers or onions… I fresh veggies :-)

  221. Laura Hodgins

Carrots and onions! My two favorite recipes are chicken pot pie and chili, so the chopping takes longer than anything else. We only have one decent knife so if I win this one, my husband will have no excuse not to help! :)

  222. SalBug

Onions, for sure. Lately though I have also been chopping a lot of basic to sprinkle over delicious caprese salads. Love summer!

  223. naenae95

some of my knives are getting dull so it would be very nice to have knife that cuts with precision. i love to chop ginger, cheese, tomatoes and jamica.

  224. KatieLovesWags

Salad ingredients! I loooove salad but I do get tired of all the prep it takes… Tonight I’m going to be slicing pork belly though – yum!!!

  225. Shandy

besides the usual onions and garlic, I would have to say I cut tomatoes the most. So I need a really sharp knife to cut through tomatoes.

  226. Carol

    Hi Amanda
This knife looks fantastic ! I would love to win one. Then I could be a chopping FOOL ! hahahaha Like you, I hate to chop. But the right instrument would make it so much easier. I would LOVE to try !

    Thanks for these opportunities.

  227. Ruthie

I think I chop ONIONS the most. followed closely by other vegetables = peppers, celery, radishes, cukes … lots of veggies!

  228. Jennifer

We definitely chop veggies and fruit the most in our house. Love these knives and crossing my fingers that we win!

  229. Jackie Chaviano

I would love to have a great knife and this one sure looks like a great one. I most cut up for my everyday cooking green peppers and onions. Thank you.

  230. Tricia

I also try to avoid the chopping process because of our poor knives, so hubby probably cuts up onions the most… as seems to be the popular answer.

  231. Lora Bakalar

I chop green, red and yellow peppers in larger quantities and then freeze. It’s so easy to pull them out and they defrost in no time.

  232. DianeC in WA

I have been saving to buy some really great knives. My favorite things to chop? Veggies, hands down.

  233. Sophie

I chop up apples very frequently, for my apple-addicted 18 month old daughter! That knife looks awesome.

  234. Ivy

Vidalia onions, girl! Love them, and they make everything just…..better. Soups, stews, marinades, salads, salsas- yum! And oh how I would love this knife to choppity chop my vidalias!!!

  235. Lynne H.

I chop a lot of chocolate, apples and pineapple! I’ve used the same dangerously dull knives for 20 years. I would LOVE to win this!

  236. Sydney

I chop tomatoes! And chicken:) Well I try to, I’m a newly wed wife and learning how to cook for my hunk of a husband:)

  237. Sheena

I cut onions ALL the time. I have learned that freezing the onion in halves or quarters makes it so much easier to cut (it does something to the enzymes, so less crying too) and keeps the slices/chunks/small bits together better.

  238. Haley

I chop onions, garlic, broccoli and carrots more than anything.

Thank you Amanda/Kevin & Wusthof for the opportunity! There is nothing like a great knife in the kitchen!

  239. Leslie

I definitely chop chicken the most. I feel like that is what I am always chopping up because everyone in my family likes it.

  240. Amanda

I chop Hatch roasted green chiles!! They are the best and most flavorful green chile out there! We drive to New Mexico each year to get a full bushel to keep us in green chiles all year (fingers crossed they last that long!). We add Hatch green chiles to everything!! I freeze them in individual bags so that I can pull a bag (or two) out when we need them. DELISH!! Since they are already roasted, they are slippery and require a GREAT knife to cut/chop them. If you haven’t tried cooking with Hatch green chiles…you need to.

  241. Brianna

Oh dear lord, it’s definitely veggies. I just graduated culinary school and I’ve chopped, sliced, diced, brunoised, and julienned more vegetables that you can imagine.

  242. Lois Hilty

Onions, especially vidalia, but in our nearly 42 yrs. of marriage, I’ve never had a good knife. Thank you very much for this offer!

  243. Angie

My mom always said, “Never give a knife as a gift, it’ll cut your friendship.” But I’m willing to take a chance.

Pick me! I chop everything! But we’re looking for the perfect beef slicing knife so my husband can make his own beef jerky!

  244. Teri

Same here, onions! I just recently got a garlic press, best.thing.ever! So yeah, just smelly, tear-inducing onions. I love them though.
    Thanks for the chance!

  245. Patty

I NEED a good knife. When my brother in law comes to visit he loves to cook but…he always has to bring his own knife because he says mine are sooooooo bad! I would cut onions, peppers and even apples :)

  246. Lakota Forosisky

Onions and chicken are the items I cut most with my chef’s knife. I need a new SHARP one. I got a sharpening tool, but it doesnt work too well. Would LOVE this knife!

  247. Meredith

I have an 11 month old and a 3 year old, so I chop everything! All I do is chop food into bite-sized pieces all day! Grapes, cherries, cucumber, apples, broccoli, sandwiches, toast, etc. etc. Thanks for the great giveaway opportunity!

  248. Catie

    Hi there
I Love good knives!!! They are sooo hard to find
    Thanks for the opportunity
I chop chop chop vegetables galore
Would love to win this beauty
    Cheers
    Catie

  249. gg milloy

peppers, onions, garlic, watermelon, chicken, beef, they all get their time on the good old chopping block.

  250. Kim

I think I chopped tomatoes the most! Along with other veggies – onions, peppers, squash! I love your blog, this is the first comment I have ever left! I’d love to win a knife!

  251. Laura

Oh my goodness, my knives now don’t cut much of anything they are so dull. I’m actually searching for the perfect replacement(s). Like many others, I probably chop onions and garlic the most!

  252. Donna

Fresh herbs! I can’t grow much in the heat of a Texas summer except all kinds of herbs. So I put them in almost every meal I make!

  253. jennifer

I agree with most others! I chop aromatics the most, closely followed by tomatoes. Tomatoes drive me the most crazy though. My knife seems to just “squish” the tomatoes instead of cutting them.

  254. Sarah

Garlic!! And veggies for my salad (tomatoes, cucumber, carrot, pepper, avocado, etc). I make my husband do all of the onions… I cry like a baby when I chop them.

  255. Nancy lacoursiere

I definitely chop veggies the most! I love this kind of knife & have a wooden Chicago cutlery one that I would love to get rid of!! I know I would use it for meats, too! Great give-away, thanks!

  256. Marin D

I’d say onions is what I chop the most. Sometimes I use a knife and sometimes I use a chopper from Pampered Chef.

  257. Kelly

Normally onions, garlic & chilies are the moat common on my cutting board but lately I’ve been hooked on spinach mango Lassis for breakfast so mangoes would be the most common these past couple of weeks!

  258. Cheryl Mitchell

I think onions are what I cut the most! They just seem to flavor every savory recipe I use!! Would love to try this knife out!! Thanks!!

  259. Jill Gardner

I can never get a good knife and I’m too cheap to buy a really good one. I guess I chop veges the most and oh, how I would love to have this knife. Thanks Amanda!

  260. Susan M

Veggies. I don’t like big chunks, so getting a fine, thin cut is mostly a dream. I don’t think I’ve ever splurged on a great knife.

  261. Michelle A

I would say the onions and garlic are the things I chop the most. They seem to go into most stuff I cook. Would love to win the knife. Thanks for the chance to win.

  262. Allison

ONIONS! And I am always having to do the onion chopping in my house because I wear contacts and it seems to affect me less. A good knife would certainly be nice, we can’t ever seem to find good knives!

  263. christy

i definitely chop onions the most! but we also eat more apples if i slice them (though not the same as chopping) :)

  264. Delilah Jane Phillips

pre-pregnancy I would have said Onions- Now I can’t stand them! Now, it’s definitely tomatoes and cucumbers- EVERY DAY!

  265. Katie

Garlic. I love how I can still smell the garlic on my hands the day after cooking. Might be strange but I find it comforting.

  266. Jennasee Robison

I chop vegetables the most and let me tell you cutting them with a crappy knife like I have for the last several years is terrible!! I could use a good quality knife more than anything! :D

  267. Sonya Gilstrap

Onions….even though I hate that they make me cry. (Or it could be that my oldest just moved out to go to college…..) I’ll just say it’s the onions!

  268. Victoria V

Onions! They add so much to most dishes and my husband LOVES them – along with one of my cats. So strange! Anyway, Einstein (my cat…not my husband) would love it if I’d chop more onions with a new knife! ;)

  269. Crystal

Chicken – we have lots of chicken in our house and with 3 little kids it’s easier to dice it up before cooking it! A nice knife would really make that easier!

  270. Robyn Fiedler

Potatoes – the family favorite soup is Loaded Baked Potato Soup from the Carnation Cafe in Disneyland. I make that recipe twice a month. And I also make a cheeseburger soup that is a close second, which also requires potatoes…

  271. Leslie

My husband loves grilled fresh vegetables. I spend a lot of time chopping peppers, onions, squash, zucchini, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms and garlic. He also loves fried cabbage and a big hefty knife like this sure would make my life easier.

  272. Kim D

Probably onions, broccoli, and… grapes for my little boy! I’m always cutting those things in half! My knives are horrid so I would just love a new one!!

  273. Dalis

Is that a 7 inch one? OMG it looks huge!!!!! we cut a lot red potatoes in our house… or maybe I should say “I CUT” a lot of potatoes… LOL!!! Thanks for the chance!!

    — dalis

  274. Clare Jones

Onions, closely followed by carrot & celery … terribly boring and I’d love a nice new sharp knife!

  275. Connie Wewst

We use alot of fresh herbs in our cooking and cilantro is one of them ~ I’ve yet to find a knife that can cut it nicely. Maybe this one? :O)

  276. Sher

Lots of veggies from the garden and seems I am chopping onions all the time. Thanks for the opportunity to win this amazing knife. I haven’t had a new knife for years!

  277. Stephanie

Chicken….and I hate it too! If this knife can really change how I feel about that, I NEED one of these.

  278. Heather Jirka

I’m a BIG onion chopper. Followed by garlic, followed by brocoli! Sometimes, I just chop to chop. I love to cook. I’m not a great baker, but I sure can cook!

  279. Leesa Gentry

Onions, bell peppers and garlic. My son complains that I put garlic in everything and he might be right. Could they be why no comes over after dinner to see us???? by the way have always one one of these knives and the whole set up but haven’t made the change yet. Hopefully you will start my collection.

  280. Jennifer

Onions. I chop and chop and chop onions! Thankfully, I wear contacts, so I’m not crying all over them! Thanks for the chance!

  281. *kristi*

Your giveaways are so generous!! I chop vegetables the most…carrots, lettuce, cucumbers…we love salads a lot!!

  282. Terrie

Onions comes to mind first, then garlic and herbs — these days a lot of dill. Of course all the fixens for fresh salsa are alwasy on the list too. This looks like a great knife for all purposes. Guessing with the ridges cheese might not stick. :)
    thanks for your contest!

  283. Jen

celery…to make chicken salad for my hubby….but I also cut up lots and lots of potatoes….for rosemary roasted potatoes or homemade french fries

  284. Alicia Brimley

I use a lot of chicken recipes and also my son is obsessed with sliced apples and cantelope. So a great knife would definitely help me in the kitchen!!!

  285. Karly

I love my Wusthof knife. I use it to chop carrots pretty much ever day. I like carrots. And I like chopping stuff.

  286. Micki

Most definitely vegetables! And I’ve never found a knife I love so it’d be fun to try this one. Thanks!

  287. Karen

Vegetables to put into dinner meals (onion, garlic, carrots, etc.). Wait, with two kids who don’t like crusts on their sandwiches, probably crusts would be more accurate! (The dog waits patiently for those.)

  288. Alisha

I don’t chop very much because I don’t have a good knife! Imagine! But when I do, it’s usually chicken or onions!

  289. Nicole

I mainly chop onion. Partially b/c my husband can’t without crying and partially because we actually use that much onion.

  290. Amy

Onions…and green peppers. I’ve taken to buying the frozen pre-chopped kind because I hate my knives, so a new knife would be awesome!

  291. Joy

Because I don’t eat enough veggies, I probably cut up potatoes the most – love them on the grill in foil packets!

  292. alice

I cut onions a lot. My husband loves them. So each week I buy one, slice half of it for burgers and sandwiches, and chop the rest for recipes.

  293. Suzanne

That is an awesome knife! I chop lots of veggies, but also apples. We eat a lot of those around here. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  294. Amber Riley

Onions! Even though they always make me cry, I use onions in basically everything I cook. My hubby loves them!

  295. Andie

Definitely onions! A close second is chicken and then usually leftover “whatever” to add to our pup’s dry dog food to make it a little more appetizing. Imagine having to eat the same old thing every day….bleh!

  296. Jennifer Young

I chop veggies and fruit the most. I hate my knives, I really should get a new one (or set). Thanks for your endorsement on this one, I will check it out. Thanks!

  297. Leah Rose

I would have to say I chop veggies the most and it is hard to pick one that I am doing over the other….it would also be good to peel garlic with, by putting it under the knife with a fist smash*wink*wink*All I know is that this Wusthof would make my life in the kitchen absolutely heaven!

  298. Julie

Onions! At least once a day. I put them in everything! Salads, soups, omlets, Mexican dishes, everything. Also, green peppers and tomatoes.

  299. Sarah T

onions and herbs! I received a knife set for Christmas and they have rusted already! I would loooooove to have this knife!

  300. Sierra Hess

I chop onions the most! Our household totally could use a new knife! I hate that little twinge of fear that I get when starting that first cut to chop it in half and I am not sure if the onion is going to roll and make me instead cut a dull slice/tear into my much-needed fingers!

  301. Jennifer Lassiter

My food chopper changed my cooking life!! lol love that thing so i can’t wait to see what this knife does. i also hate chopping onions and garlic. lol

  302. gail

    Onions!…cry…onions….cry…onions…cry…..
That is an amazing looking knife- I would love to have one- thanks for the opportunity! : )

  303. jo keifer

I probably use chopped onions more than anything but I buy them now already chopped and frozen. So I guess the one thing I would chop the most would be celery.

  304. Fawnsy

I cut peppers, onions and cucumbers the most. I make a salad every day to take in my lunch… lots of chopping!

  305. Cheryl

Veggies. I try to juice fruit and veggies a few times a week for breakfast so I cut apples, broccoli, cantaloupe and whatever else I have in the fridge.

  306. Dana

I chop onions and garlic the most!! But I would LOVE a new knife so I can cut herbs better. Now it seems like my knife tears the herbs instead of cutting them

  307. tipling

I chop chicken and veggies most often. It is annoying when the knife won’t cut through the chicken breast!

  308. Kayla Hodel

Veggies. Any kind – but mostly cucumbers, tomatoes, and squash – as those are the veggies currently growing in our garden!

  309. Sabrina Berry

I am chopping lots of watermelon and tomatoes this season. Love great knives! I think I’m a bladehead : )

  310. Julie Palladino

I have to say that lately with all the yummy veggies growing, I have been cutting zuccini and sqash the most! I try to put it in everything! Yum!

  311. lizjeep

veggies, veggies and veggies…..I don’t love chopping – such a tedious job since my family doesn’t want to “see” them, I have to chop super fine!

  312. Tom Bridge

I chop garlic with my Wüsthofs, smash it with the flat, then dice, then kosher salt & press and grind with the flat.

  313. phyllis

I chop a lot of veggies. At first I was going to say onions but I don’t do that everyday but almost everyday I chop a veggie of some sort. Yesterday it was summer squash.

  314. tiffany h.

I chop lots of vegetables for my family and would like a great knife like this one! Thanks for the opportunity to win.

  315. NE

Vegetables- we have a salad almost everyday! Onions, celery, tomatoes, lettuce, radishes, cucumber, zucchiini, green beans and a new favorite-broccolini!

  316. Susy Peters de Fehr

i chop lots of onions and jalapenos!! :) im from Mexico!! and i love the emails that u alway send me!! :)

  317. Kindra

Onions are the most chopped item i use… but the worst one to chop is Butternut squash and its in one of my favorite recipes…. this knife would be wonderful :)

  318. Lauren | Lauren Nicole Photography

Veggies – I feel like I am perpetually chopping veggies. ESPECIALLY my three staples – garlic, onion, and bell peppers. I have one chef knife from the crappy block of knives my husband owned before I met him that works mildly well with prep work. Sometimes.

I also slice a lot of meat – like steak or chicken for quesadillas. Would LOVE a proper knife! Thanks Amanda!

  319. Hayley

I chop onions the most – but am not very good at it. I avoid receipes with fresh garlic or ginger because I have such trouble cutting those! Would love to see how this knife changes that :-)

  320. Shelby

I chop a lot of veggies – especially onions. I usually buy a few big onions, chop them all up, put 1/2 cup portions into baggies and throw them in the freezer. Then they’re ready whenever I need them and are super easy to throw in when I’m cooking meat for tacos, etc. :)

  321. aprairiegirlincalifornia

hmm… I chop a lot of things:) peppers and onions and chicken would definitely all be up there at the top!!!

  322. Tessa

I am always cutting veggies up. Especially onions, broccoli and garlic. During the summer, it seems like I cut up a ton of fruit, the kids eat it as soon as it is cut, so it is a never-ending process. I’m sure it would go lots faster with a “real” knife.

  323. Erin S.

Onions and chicken are my biggies. And with arthritis in my hands (I’m only 29!), a good knife is a lifesaver!

  324. carol

Hi I just love your blog. I mostly chop onions and carrots. I would absolutely loooooove to win the knife! Thanks

  325. Stephanie

Funny thing…the thing I chop the most is CHICKEN!! Ha ha! I’m always making dishes that require chopped chicken! Would be so much easier if I had a good knife to do so!! Thanks!

  326. Nancy Shewell

I have to say that the one thing I chop the most is onions. I use onions all the time, year round, we love them in almost any recipe! As for meat, I usually buy a big piece of good beef and cut my own steaks and roasts from it. And, yes, a GOOD knife is hard to come by! :)

  327. Kalyn

Veggies, and especially onions. It seems like every recipe I do calls for chopped onions! I would love one of those knives.

  328. Sherry Saunders

Wow, what a great giveaway! I mostly chop vegetables, but to be even more specific it would probably be onions I chop mostly. Thanks for the opportunity to win this!

  329. AshleyS

Chicken! And potatoes ( but not usually at the same time). I’ve been drooling over this knife for years but havent found it in our budget to invest in one yet!

  330. Crystal James

We have three kiddos in our household and my husband and I are constantly cutting all three of their meals up into bite size pieces for them. Three meals a day for a family of five is a TON of chopping!! I have yet to find a knife that is priced right and gets the job done….so I beg you for this knife :) Thanks Amanda :)

  331. Diana

What one thing do you chop the most? I chop veggies for stir fry. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this! What a great looking knife. YES I will chop chicken too!!!
    Diana

  332. Janessa

VEGGIES! We eat tons of veggies; especially cukes, onions, tomatoes, celery, zucchini and squash! A nice knife would change our lives for the better!

  333. Chatelaine

chicken, hands down. I feed my german shepherd a raw diet so I’m always chopping chicken, beef, pork for this girl.
oh and garlic for us LOL

  334. Casey @ Pocket Full of Sunshine

Probably fruit. But I don’t have any good knives, which is why I don’t chop more veggies and meat. :) Would love to win this!

  335. Lisa

I chop fruit and veggies for my in home daycare kids. I use a knife everyday. I could really use a new GOOD knife. Mine aren’t very good. I hope you pick me! Thanks!

  336. Gwendolyn cureton

CARROTS, CARROTS, CARROTS, we eat carrots just about everyday. There are so many ways to cut up a carrot that this knife would be a God sent.

  337. Courtney

Onions, definitely onions. And thank goodness I have my trusty onion goggles or else I wouldn’t be able to see through the tears to chop!

  338. Debi Kelley

Veggies, Veggies and more Veggies…. we LOVE roasted veggies …. then I put the left overs in my veggie lasagna…. YUM

  339. Tricia C

Vegetables are definitely #1! It doesn’t matter what I’m fixing there *has* to be some kind of veggie involved.

    Huggggggggggggggggggggggggz

  340. Maria

I chop onions, celery & carrot the most (like most people). Would love a knife like this, I know they work incredibly well from friends who have them.

  341. Paulette A. ~California

Veggies mostly. When I’m baking, it’s nuts. I’m too lazy to haul out the food processor!

  342. Kerri Robinson

The one thing I chop the most in Onions! I use them over my chili, on my burgers and sandwiches, in soups that I make and so many more things! I always have a container of chopped onions in my refrigerator ready!

  343. Erin

I am forever chopping all differnt kinds of produce and nuts. I put walnuts in my yogurt for breakfast everyday and eat various veggies for snacks – this would be great!

  344. Vicky Ferguson

    Dear Amanda,
I do chop a lot and I would have to go with the trinity, peppers, onion & garlic.
    This knife looks amazing.
    Thank you
    Vicky

  345. Jackye Ham

I love your recommendations – they are always winners! Would love a good knife to chop all my veggies!

  346. Tracey

The one thing I chop the most? Depends on the season, I think, but lately it’s tomatoes (with onions a close second).

  347. Diane Loviza

There is no question…I cut more veggies than anything! If I had to guess, I’d say more onions and garlic than anything else…but it would definately have to be veggies!

  348. Kerri Marshall

I chop chicken all of the time. it seems to be the one thing that i chop the most. second in line is green peppers.

  349. Desi

It feels like I’m always cutting on tomatoes, especially this time of the year. I just canned 14 quarts of tomato juice and 15 quarts of whole tomatoes. It is so hard to find a knife that does a good job on tomatoes.

  350. JennStar

Onions!! I use them in almost everything and I always put in more than the recipe calls for! (oh, and I’m known to smash and chop lots of garlic, too!)

  351. Allison

Like most people… onions… and celery…. and chicken. All of which require a good knife! Great giveaway.

  352. Laura

I was JUST checking that knife out yesterday! I have one Wusthof knife but not this one… I think I got the wrong one because it’s difficult to chop soft skinned foods, like tomatoes, with.

Bell peppers and onions are chopped the most in my kitchen. Closely followed by fresh herbs and garlic.

  353. Jenni

ONIONS AND GARLIC! And then….bacon. I LOVE WUSTHOF knives! Love them! Thanks for the opportunity to win. And I also LOVE your blog!

  354. Marilee Vickers

I think the item that I chop the most would have to be onions. Cutting chicken is the worst, I agree. Thank you for offering this knife as a giveaway…

  355. Julie Ryan

Chicken! I buy it in the big buys and spend like forever trying to defat it with my stupid knives :( This would be awesome!

  356. Laurie

I DON’T chop much, because I don’t have a good knife. But I’m trying to help my young family eat healthy foods, so if I had a knife like this one, I would chop vegetables and keep them in the fridge for after-school snacking!

  357. ColleenMarie82

I shop a lot of veggies, I usualt make up a big salad each Sunday to have for dinners the rest of the week, so I chop a lot of celery, cucumbers, peppers, caluflower, broccoli.

    inman@mobap.edu

  358. Kristin T

Chocolate! It is one of the hardest things to chop, but one of the things I chop the most since I love to bake! :)

  359. Diane

I chop Lots of Vegetables..But I also chop blocks of Chocolate !!!
Hope I win every home needs a great knife :)

  360. deannab1

tomatoes! My husband LOVES salsa and pico de gallo and we always have to have a fresh batch of each in the refrigerator.

  361. BettyC

We put onions & garlic in just about everything that we can–so that’s my answer & I’m stickin’ to it!

  362. Joanna @ Southern Daisy

I definitely chop chicken the most! Seems chicken is in almost every recipe I make! Would love that knife!!

  363. Laura C.

Vegetables. I chope raw beets, carrots, cucumber, tomato (well, that’s technically a fruit), and other items for salads (my favorite meal). I’m using an old knife now, so this would be wonderful.
    Thanks!

  364. Alexandra

Oh this is the easiest question ever. Chicken. We eat so much chicken its insane. I see a lot of people have answered onions and I am jealous, Adam hates onions. :(

  365. Callie Hopkins

It’s absolutely onions. My kids hated them, but I refused to cook without them! Now as adults they see my wisdom.

  366. kristi e

veggies! tons & tons of veggies – hope this knife can handle tomatoes as all my knives stink at chopping tomatoes…

  367. Christa M.

Lately, it has been celery. I’m on a bit of a tuna salad and chicken salad kick, and I love chopped celery in both. I usually spend Sunday evenings preparing a week’s worth of one or the other to take to work for quick and easy lunches.

  368. Maria

Onions, garlic and green peppers. It seems like I put at least one of those ingredients in nearly everything I make!

    Thank you!

  369. Jeanne Koniuszy

Cutting and chopping fruits and vegetables seems to fill my existence. Onions and celery probably top the charts, but there is also zuchinni, green beans, rhubarb, broccoli and cucumbers. When moving to the protein side of things, chicken is the one product I cut/chop above and beyond any other. Great tools DO make all the difference. Looks like a wonderful knife!

  370. CAthy

Onions. I put onions in everything and then Cilantro. I love cilantro. I need a good knife. I seem to saw through everything. I will dirty 4 knives trying to find the right one.

  371. Karen Ward

Onions!!! Onions!!!! And more onions! I know I could use the food processor or a chopper but I just am anal and like the precision I get with a knife. I would love to try this knife!!!

  372. Amber

I’m ALWAYS chopping onions! We use them in just about everything…so an awesome knife would make this task much easier!

  373. Jana S

The item that I chop the most is fruit. DH takes care of all the meets and stuff. Love me the melons and such, esp in summer!

  374. McKenzie

Veggies, especially garlic! I feel like I have spent a good part of my life chopping peppers, onions, tomatoes and garlic.

  375. Brandi

Thanks for the chance to win!

I am forever chopping onions, garlic and tomatoes. And despite having a whole set of knives to choose from I can’t ever find a sharp knife when I need one. And with two 3 year old tornadoes running around I barely have time to breathe much less sit down and sharpen a knife.

  376. Courtney @ Cookin Up Life

I chop a lot of veggies! And actually got some of my finger on Sunday haha– no worries it is still there but maybe a sign I need a better knife ;)

  377. Renee

I think it is a tie between carrots and celery. I make alot of soup and they are always present. These knives look awesome!

  378. Christi

Oh, my goodness!! I’ve been adding and removing THIS KNIFE from my Amazon cart for I don’t know how long (my hubby would kill me if I spent the money, but I know how badly I could use it)! ;) I chop onions and cucumbers almost daily…what a blessing it would be to win this beautiful knife. Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  379. Jenn

I probably cut up veggies the most, but chicken is definitely a close second. A good knife would be great!

  380. Molly G.

I chopped fruit and carrots the most. Just when I put my knife away, out it comes again to chopped some strawberries =)

  381. Jey

Onions and garlic… by sheer weight, probably onions would win, but I tend to put garlic in almost everything, so by the # of meals, garlic wins, hands down. :)

  382. Becky

Onions! I use them in everything! Ground beef, casseroles, stir fries, burgers…everything! It sure would be nice to have that process go more smoothly with a knife that actually does its job!

  383. AmandaK

Right now, Squash. Lots and lots of squash. And I do it with a steak knife, because that’s the sharpest I have…. pitiful.

  384. Wanda Cullen

Onions would have to be the thing I chop the most! Have never had a knife like this and would love to win one and pretend I’m a master chef – lol!

  385. SandyF

Vegetables for sure – onions, potatoes, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers – you get the picture. I would love a knife like this. Thanks for the opportunity to win one.

  386. velma

Onions, Jalapenos ,Pineapple ….Sure could use a good knife I have several but It seems like they loose there umpf.. thanks Amanda for the chance ; )

  387. Amy W.

Fruit. My kids love apples and cantaloupe. I’ve yet to find a knife that will cut either effortlessly.

  388. Diane

Tons of veggies and chicken. I have been chopping non-stop for almost two years. Such is the case when you have a toddler. :)

  389. LaurenH

Walnuts. Weird I know. I can’t get enough of walnuts…in breads, in oatmeal, in cereal, on their own. Yums!

  390. Jaime Layton

I would have to go with the masses and say, “onions”. I am tired of my un-sharp knife sliding off!!

  391. Liz Cook

Onions, tomatoes, potatoes & chicken! I love to cook – hate to chop! A really good knife would be a god-send!

  392. Marci Johnson

ONIONS!!!! and it would be so nice to have a knife like this to use…. Now if you could just make my eyes stop watering when I cut the onions…..

  393. Molly

Probably onions! I like to chop several of them up and freeze them in small bags – makes it so much easier to grab out a bag for dinner!

  394. Meredith

I have a southwest salsa recipe that requires a TON of chopping but that is super yummy – I would love this knife to make the chopping so much easier!

  395. Kelsie G

Onions and garlic and garlic and..oh! GARLIC. I try to get it as papery thin as possible. Point of pride.

  396. kate

this time of year, i chop tons and tons of zucchini! i keep chopping and it keeps coming! also, tomatoes and juicy peaches.

  397. Janie Hyde

I’d have to say I chop a lot of onions, they make everything taste great! Wow, I hope I win, this knife looks like it will beat my Ginzu that I bought at the state fair 13 years ago!

  398. Nikki Anacker

Veggies in general, but lots and lots of lettuce! Still trying to figure out the best way to shred lettuce for tacos!

  399. Blair

My wife and I love cooking together. This knife is so nice I bet it would only make me look better in the kitchen!

  400. Rebecca Vivoni

Veges, veges, veges. For once I’d love to have an easy time cutting up a butternut squash, especially….
    Thanks!!!

  401. Brianne

Veggies. Onions and Garlic. Zucchini. Potatoes. Peppers. But probably onions as they’re my favorite vegetable!

  402. Kristin Murdock

ONIONS!! Hands down. Always always always. Also, I hope my comment hasn’t doubled up. I have had some trouble getting to this page… has anyone else?

  403. Michelle

We chop a ton of vegetables. Seems like I can’t make a meal without onions! I love to get my hands on a fancy Wusthof Santoku Knife!!!

  404. Barb

What do I cut most? Lots and lots of yummy veggies for fresh salsa! A knife like this would be my new best friend :D

  405. Karen

I probably chop more onions than anything else. It seems like every recipe starts with sauteeing some onions.

  406. Angi Snyder

I probably chop onions the most. A great knife would make it so much easier and faster….and, therefore, maybe, a few less tears!

  407. Jessica

Vegetables would definitely be at the top of my list. I’m thinking of that squash I tried to cut last night with a not-so-sharp knife. Ech!

  408. Tracey

I chop lots of onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. I also slice chunks off those big blocks of cheese. Thanks for the opportunity! :)

  409. Shruti

Anyday starts with chopping fruits followed by vegges for salad and end with more chopping for dinner. I rarely use any food processor!

  410. Mandy

I chopped everything!! I like the chopping by hand much better than I like using a processor…but the one item I chop the most has to be ONIONS!! They are in everything :)

  411. Jen Knox

I chop onions for salad, tacos and burgers ALL the time and have the worst knife ever made so this would be a great addition to my kitchen!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  412. Brenda

Vegetables, without a doubt! I love to cook, so I am always in the kitchen whipping up something! That knife looks awesome! Hope I get a chance to try one!

  413. Kerry LeWarne

Since I’m JUST started a clean eating lifestyle…I’ve been chopping and chopping and chopping vegetables. It’s daunty at times, but so much more fun with a great knife! I agree chicken is easier too! Thanks!

  414. Vanessa

I buy the majority of my meats in very large amounts (25-50 lbs) so this would come in handy when I have to separate it all to freeze.

  415. DebbieB

I chop veggies the most. Love to go to farmers markets in the summertime and buy lots of fresh vegetables to make great healthy summer recipes.

  416. Nichole

Fruit & veggies! We’re trying to live a healthier lifestyle and make it a point to stop at the local farmers market every weekend to stock up for the week. We cut into our very first pineapple over the weekend & we’re hooked!!

  417. Gay

Vegetables – I am always making salads of many kinds – cutting vegetables is always a big job and time consuming – but with vegetables you can have soup or salad.

  418. pam @ pamwares

I actually own a few wusthof knifes. I bought them 15 years ago and they were one of my best investments since I love to cook. As for your question…tomatoes and onions are neck & neck for the most chopped up!

BTW – loved your post on the camera so much I bought one and love it!

  419. ann

    Onion!
I’m a big veggie eater so I’ve always got a big chef’s knife in my hand, but onions and garlic go in everything!
My husband asked me to think of one veggie to have on hand if all other veggies were to “go away”… It has to be the onion.

  420. Mary

I chop veggies…loads of veggies! YUM!! I also hack at chicken, which would make this knife a godsend! :)

  421. Sue M.

Onions!! I use them in everything!! I would LOVE to be the owner of a really good knife! My current knives are a bit on the pathetic side.

  422. Fred Nesbitt

The one thing I chop most is onions. I use onions almost every day. Like yesterday I steamed onions and summer squash, and the day before I fried up onions and bell peppers to go with Italian sausage for lunch. Today? Who knows?

  423. Lorenzo P.

I just looked at these knives!! Onions, garlic, and de-boning chicken. Always a lot better and easier with an awesome knife!!

  424. alyssa manno

I would make more of my yummy guacomole!! onions, tomatillos, cilantro, jersey tomatoes, so much easier to chop with a good knife!!

  425. christina

Aromatics, all of them!! I have a food processor but honestly, I love chopping!! This Wustof would be WONDERFUL!!!

  426. Cinnamon

I cut tomatoes and peppers the most, and would LOVE to have a good knife that can get the job done quickly. Thanks for the chance to win! :)

  427. Melissa R.

Onions!! I used to hate them when I was younger. Go figure, huh?? I happen to be in need of a new knife! Thanks for the chance to win!!

  428. Sara Palacios

If I had a really good knife, then I would stop chopping. I would make my husband do it….his biggest complaint is that we don’t have any good knives. Ha! Now what is your excuse?!?

  429. Sheryl

I chop mostly veggies for the various dishes we make like spaghetti, pico de gallo, and guacamole. We use a lot of onion, too, so hopefully a knife like this would make the chopping go faster with less crying! Thanks for a great giveaway!!

  430. GinaE

Pretty much the same as everyone else……onions, celery, mushrooms, peppers, garlic, etc. Many thanks for the chance to win. I could really use a good knife!

  431. Michelle Ramsay

Onions is what I chop the most. (I am from South Africa but will be in the USA in Memphis on 9 and 10 September, so if I should be lucky enough to win, I could give you the hotel’s address – being very positive here!!)

  432. Taylor

This question stumped me… mainly because I don’t cook much :)

Sooo I will answer with this: This know will inspire me to cut more fresh vegetables to cook :)

  433. Danelle Reilly

I chop carrots, celery, onion, and garlic the most. I do own the larger wustohf chef knife and absolutely love it, but it is too large for everyday use. This one looks perfect.

  434. Shannon

Veggies for sure! I would LOVE a knife that could cut chicken up for me… that sounds great! Love your blog Amanda!!!

  435. Shannon

In the summertime I tend to chop tomatoes and other fresh veggies like squash, cucumbers, and peppers a lot as they are the base for the dishes I make. The rest of the year, I feel I chop yellow onions almost every night! Then in comes the garlic, and my fingers are stinky from September through April. :)

  436. robyn

Onions, no doubt about it! I just about start chopping the onion before I have even decided what I’m cooking.

Love this give-a-way! Thank you –

  437. Kelley Statham

I chop veggies! We eat lots of veggies and now my 11mo daughter loves veggies too. I could really use a good sharp knife!!!

  438. Gayellen

Probably onions and garlic mostly, but this summer it’s been peppers too! I have ALWAYS wanted one of these knives. Thanks, Amanda!

  439. ellen tinder

i try to chop onions but have different chunks when i’m through, also i always seem to cut my fingernails off when i’m cutting up onions.

  440. Nathalie-Catherine Ouellet

Onions, celery, tomatoes, peppers, cranberries… love to chop, love to cook. That’s me ! Nathalie-Catherine

  441. Mary Lynn M.

This time of year, it seems all I chop are tomatoes, and you know how hard they are to chop with a dull knife.

  442. Ali

That looks like quite the asset for the kitchen! Right now we are doing Juicing and a great knife for fruits and veggies would be awesome!
    Thanks!
    Ali

  443. Fran

I probably chop onions the most. They go perfectly in so many things and I adore them! Thanks for the chance!

  444. Carol

I don’t chop much–try to avoid it becuz I don’t have a decent knife. When I do chop, it’s onions.

  445. Leah

Olives and veggies. I have been looking for a good knife for years now, but too chicken to take the plunge and buy one and then not like it.

  446. Nathalie-Catherine Ouellet

Onions, celery, garlic, cranberries, tomatoes, peppers… love to chop, love to cook ! That’s me ;-) Nathalie-Catherine

  447. HeatherB

I don’t know if this counts as chopping, but cutting up apples and cheese. Constantly. Our favourite snack before and after dinner.

  448. Bonnie

Herbs and sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes are so hard to cut. I always wind up with a blister under my right pointer finger…no matter what knife I use!

  449. Tami Wallace

Hi Amanda! I usually chop vegetables -onions, celery, tomatoes. This summer, my family has been on a kick of sausage and potatoes baked together in the oven so I have chopped these 2 things alot!! Thanks, Tami

  450. Barb Johnson

Fruit! I try to keep tons of fresh fruit around for my 4 year old daughter. But since we are so busy, I cut it all up right when I get home from the store so I’m ready with a quick snack for the rest of the week.

  451. Liz F

Before discovering your blog, ONIONS would have been my answer. But, lately, I’ve been using my knives to cut pieces of peanut butter oreo ice cream pie!!! :)

  452. Katie

I have small children – so I’m constantly cutting up lots and lots of fruit and veggies for them to eat!

  453. Monique

I make a salad almost everyday. So, I am constantly chopping vegetables. However, I still think onions are the one thing I always seem to be chopping.

  454. Yvonne

I definitely chop a lot of veggies – onions & green peppers :) But, I’m with you Amanda, I’ve always avoided the whole chickens – seems like so much time and work. I’ll definitely have to look into this knife! Thanks!

  455. Cindy

now that it is summer and so fresh, I make this wonderful salsa that requires lots of chopping of tomatoes and onions.

  456. Karen

The one thing I chop the most is herbs. Just this past week I had to chop up a bunch of chives and parsley for a recipe. I have to admit, I have horrid knives at home. If anyone needs a new, nice chopper, it’s ME! LOL – Karen

  457. Anna Faustini

    Hi,
The one item I chop the most would be onions, and onions can be quite slippery when chopping, so a great knife like the one you are offering us would make life in the kitchen much easier. Hope I win and good luck to all. Thanks!! :)

  458. Karen / The Well Seasoned Nest

Oh, most definitely, onion – weepy eyes and all, onion goes in almost all my savory dishes. Love it! Next to chocolate, it’s pretty much my favorite flavor!

  459. Brittany C

I chop chicken the most – and a close second is probably a tie between garlic and veggies. I would love to win this – we’ve had our knife set since we got married and it just doesn’t cut it anymore! (ha! -pun intended) ;)

  460. Charlene

I love a good knife, too! Once you have one you’ll never go back! I use my knives for tomatoes, lettuce, onions, meat….. I could go on & on!

  461. Jill

I probably chop herbs and vegetables the most. I almost always have cilantro in the house and that gets a good rough chop before getting tossed into guacamole or salsa.

  462. Cathy E

If I’m baking, then it has to be walnuts for banana bread and chocolate chip cookies. For meal cooking – onions and mushrooms make it into most of our dishes! Thanks for a great giveaway – would love to own a Wusthof!

  463. Erin

I would absolutely love a Santoku knife! I’ve been eyeing them for years! The thing I chop the most is bell peppers. This knife would make that so much easier. :)

  464. Rachel

I chop onions and garlic the most, but I love chopping nuts (because that usually means I’m making something sweet!).

  465. Beth B

I think I cut onions more than anything else. I put at least one into almost everything I make, it seems like! Thank you so much for the giveaway!

  466. Heather dela Cruz

I think I spend the most time chopping chicken and veggies! A fabulous knife would be a great help!!

  467. Allie

Onions, garlic, & peppers….i love to chop. there is something relaxing about it. its a good release after a long day at work. and a good knife just makes it all better!

  468. Sonnet Bee

Always onions, like almost every other respondent! It’s true. And a dull knife cutting onions is so irritating. I have a very cheap Santoku that chipped on me when I tried to sharpen it, so I would be ecstatic to have a nice Wusthof! Great giveaway!!

  469. Diana Moffo

Fresh herbs, especially cilantro and basil. They can MAKE the meal. Fingers crossed that I win this one…I’m an avid cook!

  470. Becky S

    Peppers and onions for sure.

I’ve been wanting a ‘real’ knife but wasn’t sure what to get.
    Thanks Amanda!

  471. Sharman P

I chop lettuce and tomatoes for salad everyday.
I also love to chop up cucumbers which are my favorite
    to put in the salad.

  472. Lisa

Onions. I bought a cheap version of this knife thinking the brand wouldn’t matter, but it hasn’t held up at all. I need this one!!

  473. Kaylene

probably chicken, though my husband does that for me most of the time because I have a hard time handling raw chicken. Other than that, onions. So I get to be the cooking cry-baby ;)

  474. Debra

Onions and chicken! A lot of my recipes call for these two ingredients. Also, my mother eats dinner with us and she loves her onions!

    Thanks.

  475. Michelle Torres

I chop all types of vegetables, and loads of chicken for my daughters, since that is their favorite meat!!!!! I would love to have this beauty to use in the kitchen!!!

    Michelle Torres
    decorater4life@aol.com

  476. Elizabeth

Normally, veggies, but these days I’ve been cutting up lots and lots and lots of watermelon. Mmmmm.

  477. Sarah

I would say onions and zucchini are the things I chop most. I would love a nice knife, I really don’t own any good knives.

  478. Amanda C

I chop veggies most, not any one specifically, but I am always chopping veggies. My knives are terrible! I would love to win!

  479. Susan T

Hmmm. I think maybe nuts. I like to add chopped nuts to my breakfast yogurt, to hot cereal, to salads…

  480. Amanda

I feel like I cut onions, peppers, and celery the most and my knives are horrible! Would love a new knife, thanks for the opportunity!

  481. Diana Hammonds

Without a doubt, I chop onions more than anything else. I would absolutely love to have a knife like this!

  482. Irene L.

It’s a tie between garlic and onions. There are very few things that I make that don’t include those too little gems! Is there anything better than the smell of garlic and onion cooking in olive oil? I think not.

  483. Sandy_in_MD

Lots of fresh veggies – carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers – this knife sounds perfect for the job. Thanks for the chance to win!

  484. Chris

For sure onions… closely followed by red peppers and cilantro. A good knife is worth it’s weight in gold!

  485. Kathy F

I probably attempt to chop herbs the most, followed closely by onions. I see from the posts that that is a very popular item :) Thanks for all the neat giveaways!

  486. Lois Hartwell

I feel so unoriginal – since practically everyone else said the same thing – BUT it’s definitely onions!!

  487. Terri

I’m sure I’m not alone here…ONIONS! It seems like most of my fav recipes have onions in them! Every time I’m chopping onions, I think of the scene in Julie&Julia when Julia Child is practicing her knife skills by chopping a mountain of onions.

  488. Gale

Onions…. seems like everyone has the same answer but I chop those about every other day!!!
A great knife would be awesome!!!

  489. Kelly Jo

Definitely onions. If I win the awesome knife I may have to invest in those space goggles that keep you from crying while you chop! :)

  490. Jen Auschwitz

Definitely VEGGIES! But I have a great husband who doesn’t mind being put to work in the kitchen- he usually chops for me! And he’s great at it! :D

  491. kates

No dish is complete without a healthy dose of garlic. That followed by onions, ginger and cilantro would be my most frequently food chopped items.

  492. Holly B

Garlic and onions – they always seem to go together!!! Of course this time of the year I am also chopping up fresh veggies from my garden!

  493. Kate

Definitely onions, as I love them and include them in most every dish. I really need a new knife, so this would be great!

  494. Kendall

For me, it would have to be onions, though I hate doing it. Onions are the worst!

Thanks for the chance to win, Amanda! :)

  495. Taren

What don’t I chop? I’m a mom of 4 under 7 years old. So I chopped everything from apples to onions, meats, veggies & fruits!

  496. Becky

I cut up chicken all the time, but I don’t have any good knives to make it easy. I hope I win! I also love to make fresh salsa and I don’t have a food processor, so I chop everything by hand.

  497. Amanda Mac

Add me to the onion brigade. :) Although, now that I think about it, I am cutting up limes at least twice a day. . .

  498. Alison

The one thing I chop the most is apples! We love apples in our house. We pick them I chop them up into thin slices, then we eat them! So delicious!!

  499. Angie

Hmmm, it’s a toss up between onions and red peppers – onions at dinner, red peppers at lunch. Love Wusthof!

  500. Kay

Onions Onions and more Onions. I use onions in just about everything I cook; and I rather chop them by hand then use any type of chopper. :)

  501. bonnie

It’s a toss up (or a chop up) between onions and potatoes for me … that’s my Irish heritage showing … with veggies and garlic following closely behind.

  502. Suzy

I think chopping the crust off sandwiches has to top the list, though onions and apples are a close second…

  503. Dana

I am always chopping onions! It’s not my favorite thing to chop, but after I finally learned how to do it the right way, it’s not quite as daunting. :)

  504. Erin @ Brownie Bites

You are just all over the giveaways lately! :) I chop green onions and celery more than anything else!

  505. Teri

Vegetables for stir fry, spring rolls, etc. I cook a lot of Asian food and my puny little knife (which is my best) can’t handle it. I’ve been wanting a real knife for a long time. I hope I win!

  506. Wini

Hmmm… I think it is a tie between onions and garlic – although due to size alone onions probably win. Root veggies would come next.
Thanks for the chance to win!
    Hugs, Wini

  507. Lisa Y

Hmmmm – I think I chop/slice onions and herbs the most. I also slice alot of chicken. Thanks Amanda for the opportunity!

  508. Tina B.

With the wonderful summer veggies, I am currently cutting/chopping tomatoes, cucumbers, onions….etc. I could put a sharp knife to good use!
    Thank you!

  509. MandaKay

What a great giveaway! I have always wanted one of these knives!!! I mostly chop vegetables! Onion, green pepper, cucumber, etc…!

  510. Kristina G.

I am constantly cutting onions and garlic it seems like. And lots of herbs like cilantro and basil from my garden.

  511. Heather

I’ve always wanted one of those knives! Like the other posts, onions and garlic are the things we chop the most around my house! Thanks for the opportunity!

  512. pat upton

It seems that I am chopping herbs and onions more than other things. I would love to have one of these knives!

  513. Angela

Wow! I would LOVE to win this! I have been needing a good, sharp knife for years! The things I chop the most are onions, garlic & carrots – on sunday I got a blister chopping 5 lbs of carrots because my knife wasn’t sharp enough & I had to use too much effort to chop them all!

  514. Anne Ryan

I chop onions the most! I live in south LA and just about everything we cook includes onions!! (as well as celery and bell peppers, which combined make the trinity for cooking!)

  515. Jessica Jennings

I would have to say that I chop a lot of onions, garlic and chicken. Im sure this knife would make chopping a breeze. :)

  516. Shannon A

Like everyone else, I chop a ton of onions. But I refuse to chop garlic — that’s why garlic presses were invented!

  517. Lynn

Onions!! I can’t get enough of them.. red onions in particular. I love strong bold flavors and this seems to be the one thing that I chop the MOST! Love your blog!

  518. Liz Moore

I’d love to chop somebody’s head off sometimes when I’m cutting up and prepping all the ingredients for a recipe and they come in to the kitchen and say “when is dinner?” All kidding aside, even with all kinds of chopping gadgets, I would reach for my Wusthof 7″ Santoku everytime (if I had one). Thanks!

  519. Christine

Another onion chopper here! Diced, sliced, onions go in just about everything. If I’m making a recipe that calls for half an onion, a small onion, I just get the big sweet vidalia or purple onions and freeze the rest for later.

    That is a gorgeous knife!

  520. Tina Hicks

Lots of chicken and onions…! Thank you so much for the opportunity to win this fabulous knife! I love your blog and you contests are so much fun!
    Hugs!
    Tina :-)

  521. Denise P.

Onions. With garlic. They go into almost every dinner I make. My kitchen would shut down if I ran out of onions!

  522. Laura H.

I definitely chop vegetables the most…..a variety lettuce, squash, onions, herbs, tomato etc etc…….but the most difficult thing I chop would probably be sweet potatoes and boy would a really good knife help!!!

  523. Carrie Christou

I chop chicken, chicken, chicken! My two daughters, ages 6 & 7, love chicken tacos and getting them to eat something other than Mac ‘N Cheese or pizza is no easy task.

  524. Deb.E.

It’s all about my favorite vegetable……onions! Love them raw, fried, battered, deep fried, boiled, baked, grilled, sliced, diced and chopped! I <3 everything about onions!

  525. Layla

I definitely cut up onions the most-we put onions in/on everything! Also do alot of fresh veggie cutting.

  526. Wendy Kidd

Veggies, veggies, veggies! Onions, green peppers (which my rat terrier, Fred LOVES) and celery are my most-chopped items. I seriously covet this knife, by the way. Thanks for the chance to win!

  527. tori

carrots! My two year old loves them, but they’re just too big for him to eat without cutting them up a bit. Oh, and potatoes… because we’re big potato fans in this house. :)

  528. Debra Rector

Hubs and I are on Weight Watchers. Therefore we chop a lot of everything! Mostly veggies, fruit, herbs, and chicken. Actually he cuts chicken…I merely supervise. He would LOVE this knife :)

  529. Laura Fitzgerald

Vegetables, usually onions… my husband LOVES onions, on or in everything. We are also big fans of mouthwash, I think you know why.

  530. Julie

My husband eats tomatoes in his lunch each day for his prostrate health, so I peel and chop up tomatoes and onion, add some pepper and Kraft tomato-bacon dressing. Yum! Yum!

  531. Julie

Onions! I feel like I’m ALWAYS chopping onions but I love them so much I just can’t stop! This knife seems AMAZING!

  532. Tiffini Crown

Onions, fresh herbs, and chicken! This knife is on my Christmas/Anniversary list, but I would LOVE to win one now!

  535. Kim Faucher

Vegetables… esp. onions, gr peppers and carrots… it seems that when I chop tons… I use them up quickly and I never seem to have enough!!! lol
Love Wustof… if I could go back in time, would have registered for several of these knives for my wedding… always dreamed of knives like this ;) lol

    Thanks for the opportunity!
    Kim

  536. Julie

Definitely bell peppers. I like to cut them into strips and snack on them with light ranch dressing. And they usually make an appearance in most every meal I make. I thinks its a phase I’m going through… :)

  537. Grammy@gram-cracker.com/blog

Ha! I just wrote a review of the Wusthof Classic knives, they are ridiculously amazing! I swear I heard Angels sing when I opened the box they were in last Christmas! I don’t have this one however and I’m fairly certain I need to for chopping all the apples, carrots (for the dogs!) onions, potatoes (for the Hubby!) basil, mushrooms, garlic (for me!) :)

  538. Melissa Stinson

Onions, followed closely by peppers, chicken, tomotoes, basil, parsley, etc. Thanks for the giveaway!

  539. Emily Wilkinson

I’m always chopping chicken for dinner and hope you’re right that a good knife will make a big difference!

  540. JoAnne

I have a set of these knives but not this one. I chop vegetables the most. I love salads. Maybe I’d cut more chicken if I had one..right now my husband has that job!

  541. Cindy White

I love chopping anything and everything! It’s almost like therapy….puts me in the zone :) But if I had to choose one item I love to chop, it would have to be peppers!

  542. Chris @ TheKeenanCookBook

Very useful giveaway! I slice tomatoes the most – for my guac, for my pizza topping, for my bruschetta sandwich, for just eating…

  543. Debbie

Now this is a serious knife! I would say the thing I chop most is vegetables/herbs.
I wish I had invested in a great set of knives instead of struggling with whatever I happen to have. Thanks for the give-away opportunity, Amanda.

  544. Elizabeth

Onions & garlic! Just like most of you! Would love a new knife and maybe get rid of some of the tears.

  545. Linda

Onions, garlic, jalapeño, tomatoes, cilantro, then slice a lime in half and squeeze over all, add salt and pepper…..Salsa! Chopping makes me smile! Thanks for the chance to make it go faster with a great knife

  546. Jan

I chop veggies and fruits (watermelon, cantelope) the most. I need a good knife for slippery items like onions, chicken, etc. Thank you and have a good day!

  547. Analisa

Onion, onion, onions! I bought a little chopper and tried using my food processor but it just isn’t the same as chopping them myself with a knife. A great knife is heavenly!

  548. Kim

I definitely cut up a lot of apples for my children but I think this knife would come in handy with those recipes involving endless cutting. I always dread cutting up veggies for salads but I don’t think I would with this knife.

  549. Jae

I chop onions the most but lately I have been spending time chopping all the fresh vegetables summer provides to make delicious salads for lunch.

  550. LST

I cook for my family of five and love it! I chop lots of veggies, but especially onions and bell peppers. :)

  551. Carrie Joy

Home-grown tomatoes (this month)–for salsa and a killer bruschetta–and tomatoes need an amazing knife.

  552. Karen G.

Oh man – I am constantly chopping ONION!!! I would so love to win this knife – I know that a great knife really makes all the difference in prepping your dishes! Thank you so much for th opportunity!

  553. Kristin

My husband and I are trying to go more vegetarian, so we’ve been chopping vegetables like it’s our job! A knife like this would sure make the chopping easier!

  554. Regina Collins

The thing I chop the most is veggies for stew or just plain onions for anything.
I don’t normally like chopping. My knives are never sharp enough and it takes forever. Wish there was a better or faster way.

    Thanks
    Have a blessed day

  555. The Mrs @ Success Along the Weigh

We chop fruits and veggies the most and LOTS of ’em since they help us with the weight loss. The hubby bought this great knife but mine is a cruddy one that came with a set. This looks awesome!

  556. jessicookie

Onions, probably? My husband has a weird textural opposition to large chunks of vegetables, so any onions/peppers/tomatoes that go into a recipe have to be diced very, very small!

  557. Trudy Shaw

I’m right there with the garlic and onions!!!! Good knives really DO make a difference. Thanks for the chance to win :)

  558. Renee F.

Basil, Basil, Basil…… I can not get enough of it this summer. Good thing too, because my plants are out of control in the garden LOL

  559. Angie

I chop lots of onions, and tomatoes. This is also my absolute favorite knife, but my sister doesn’t have one yet, and she’d love it!

  560. Helen Boivin

I chop a lot of onions, celery, garlic and carrots because I make a lot of soup. You’re absolutely right about having a good knife.

  561. Ann

I’d say onions (thought tomatotes or chicken run a close 2nd). Thanks for the chance to win this most awesome knife!

  562. Maggie Mirabent

The one thing I chop the most and I do it with my not so great husband bought knife is onions and pepper. I come from a big and loving hispanic family and our base for every dish is onions and peppers, and I mean mostly everything. I would enjoy it more if my knife weren’t so dull and heavy. I love your blog and sometimes I want to be Amanda for the week..

  563. Lauren @ Healthy Food For Living

Rarely does a say go by that I don’t chop onions and mince garlic… and this knife would be the perfect addition to my Wusthof collection!

  564. Hannah

I am making my baby’s food these days so I feel like I am always chopping up sweet potatoes to roast before pureeing for him!

  565. kat

We LOVE Wusthof knives in our house too! I mostly chop veggies and herbs, mainly aromatics for different dishes. What a fantastic giveaway!!!

  566. Martha S.

I chop onions the most. But what I cut the most with my big chopping knife is cheese for my kiddos…I know, it’s a bit of an overkill knife for a little job!

  567. Cheryl Fillers

Hi Amanda , I would love a new knife and I chop lots of onion, green peppers and celery . Thanks for the chance to win. Cheryl

  568. Teri

Chicken, steak and onions and I definitely need a GOOD knife, then I might really enjoy making my dishes! Thanks for sharing!

  569. Val

I chop more onions and tomatoes than anything! I have found that a good, sharp knife is a must to get through the skin on tomatoes, otherwise it ends up a gushy mess…

  570. Sherri

Oh, how I would LOVE to win this knife! My daughter and son-in-law use the Wusthof knives, and they rave about them!!! Thanks for this giveaway opportunity!

  571. Jill

This summer I am growing my own herbs for the first time, and I have to chop them in my food processor because none of my knives are sharp enough. I would LOVE to win this one!

  572. Jamie

Veggies. Lots and lots of veggies. This looks like a WONDERFUL knife. I was just thinking how badly I need a better one!

  573. heidi butler

Never thought about it until now…Onions for sure! Didn’t realize until now I eat alot of them? Yikes! Mental note….buy more mouthwash!

  574. bfish

Without a doubt, onions — they go in almost everything I cook plus I can’t get enough raw onions to top sandwiches, salads, beans, burgers, dogs, etc.

  575. Mira

Veggies! No matter what I’m cooking, there’s always vegetables involved… which means lots of cutting! Onions, peppers, broccoli – all very satisfying to chop up.

  576. Shannon

I chop onions and bell peppers the most… followed closely by garlic and tomatoes.
    What about you?

Lovely giveaway. Thank you for hosting!

  577. Katie

I chop veggies! Peppers, sweet potatoes, carrots, and onions most often. I love roasting a big pan of yummy veggies!

  578. Cheri

Chicken- I chop chicken every day for Brandy, my boston terrier. She’s a picky eater and a little chicken added to her food makes her gobble her food right up. Wonderful giveaway as always!

  579. Tracy

My “chop-off” would be between tomatoes (used in lots of things) and a dark chocolate chocolate bar (for molten lava cakes). YUM!

  580. Claudia

Vegetables, mostly tomatoes, and there is no worse combination on the chopping block than a soft tomato and a bad knife!

  581. Amanda R

Onions and chicken as we eat a lot of those. Thanks so much for the chance to win this knife, it looks awesome!

  582. Tara Smith

I most often chop apples for my girlies! (Red for one, green for the other….they can’t be simple!)

  583. Maria

I had a very, very good knife many, many moons ago. It’s edge is a little worn and it’s not as straight edge as it use to be. Every time I cut onions, i find myself doing double the work even when i sharpen the edge. Cutting rooted vegetables is just as hard/difficult. So receiving this knife as a gift will alleviate this difficult task. thank you,

  584. Sara

Veggies! Probably green peppers the most … followed by onions, banana peppers, squash, and tomatoes! My mom has this same knife and she loves it!

  585. Jackie S.

I chop a LOT of carrots and celery…my boys LOVE them and eat them almost as fast as I cut them. Like everyone else I cut a lot of onions as well.

  586. Laurie K.

I mostly cut up veggies, my knives are worn down dull little stubs, so its hard to cut much of anything.

  587. Sasha @ The Procrastobaker

Thinking about it it’s probably cucumber! We have ‘cumber in basically every sarnie and salads most nights :)

  588. Kelly

I try NOT to chop things because my knives don’t do the trick. But when I do, it’s onions. I avoid cutting chicken like the plague! Would love to win this!!!

  589. Georgia Peach

Onions! Seems no matter what I am cooking it always seems like onions are the main item on my chopping block!

  590. Debbi Roice

I probably chop more fresh veggie’s than any thing, but Since I cook a lot of stir fry, I also chop a lot of meat’s as well. I use to have one of these knives, but lost it in a house fire. I used it for just about every thing! It’s truly a wonderful knife ,for chopping, slicing, mincing, Whatever!

  591. Debbie P

Hey, I’m a vegetarian so I mainly chop vegetables, carrots, broccoli, pumpkin, squash, eggplant, mushies, . I love veggies and I definitely need a good knife!

  592. themamahood

I definitely chop onions, tomatoes, and potatoes most…I would love a knife that works good! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  593. Ashley D

Most definitely onions, believe it or not, I never ever tear up. We have one working knife since moving and losing a box of kit hen stuff, this would be perfect to add to the mix.

  594. Nancy

Everything. I have a 6 year old/2 year old and cut most of their food. Besides that veggies.

Love the knife. I need some good knives!!

  595. Morgan M.

I am Italian. So everything I cook involves garlic. I am always chopping garlic!! I could use a new knife. Thanks Amanda! I love this giveaway.

  596. AnnMarie Psybylski

oohhh, chopping rosemary, onions and garlic for yummies on the good ole’ bbq. Thanks for always sharing your goodies. Now THAT’S a knife! Happy Chopping to all.
    Stay well,
    AnnMarie

  597. Mari

Gah. Believe it or not – chicken! ;D
Although I do my fair share of garlic, herbs and onions as well. I’ve bought (or dh bought for me) at least a dozen knives in the last 5 years or so. Everything from supposedly superior steel to those ceramic jobs.
    Ish.
I *wish* they would all stay SHARP. Like, new out of the package sharp. Wouldn’t that be a perfect world? :)

  598. Kim

The tomatoes in our garden have finally begin to ripen–all at once! I have been chopping tomatoes all day for the gallons of sauce we’ve been making. That knife would make the job much easier!

  599. Pamela

Without a doubt, raw vegetables are the most chopped things in my kitchen. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway.

  600. Dyan Witt

I LOVE cooking but hate when I do not have the right knife. I would LOVE this knife so I could chop fruit. We LOVE fruit in my house.

  601. Erika

Onions. I love chopping them, so therapeutic. Would absolutely love to win this knife, as I’ve never owned a nice one before. Thanks for the give-away!

Celery, onion, peppers, lettuce….anything I can find to chop up to put in salad. I eat LOTS of salad!!!!!

Cranberries! Every morning my steel-cut oats get a sweet flavor boost with chopped dried cranberries. A sharp santuko would make this task fun!

Onion!!!! Followed closely by nuts!!! I do a lot of chopping and would love to have this great knife!!! Thank you for all the fun contests you have!!!

I chop garlic and onions pretty much everyday!! I love Italian food and so I need these two items in almost every recipe!! That knife looks pretty awesome.

Hard to choose just one thing but I guess that would have to be VEGETABLES!! You see, that way I can include peppers, onions, etc and not have to pick just one :)

I chop garlic onions and tomatoes the most. And tomatoes definitely require a good knife if not serrated!

The one thing I find myself chopping most is cilantro….I can’t get enough of it in just about everything!!!! I could use a great cilantro knife!! And, yes, I suppose I’ll share it with the onions and garlic!

Omg I’ve been saving for the past month for this specific knife! I find myself cutting onions, garlic–any aromatics, really–the most often. The better the knife, the faster the onion’s cut…. no tears :)

Hmm….I think I chop veggies the most. Specifically onions, but my favorite thing to chop with a good knife is peppers.

  611. Tori

Onions here! Lots of recipes call for onions, green peppers, and celery as the base veggies, so I chop a lot of those. :)

Chicken! It seems that it’s all I chop. When I make roast or stew, then I cut up veggies but maily…chicken. :)
