Birthday Week Giveaway #5! Win a Kitchenaid 7-qt mixer for you AND your BFF! (Winner Announced!)

Time’s up!

The winner of the two Kitchenaid Mixers is…

#1111 Tatum: “Oh my heavens! AMAZING!!! I would make cupcakes and cookies! I love to bake and would be so thrilled to win these. How exciting would it be to share this prize with my BFF?! Thank you!”

Congrats Tatum! I’ll be sending you an email shortly. So excited for your and your BFF!

It’s here! Today is the TEN year anniversary of Thanks so much for celebrating our 10th blogging birthday with us this week!

I’ve got such a fun giveaway from Kitchenaid today to celebrate our big milestone!! It wouldn’t be a birthday without presents right?? :) How would you like to win a brand new 7-qt. Kitchenaid Mixer for you AND your BFF?? You read that right — one ultimate grand prize winner will win not one, but two Kitchenaid mixers. One to keep and one to give to a friend!!

Make sure your BFF enters for double your chance to win! ;)

I love the new 7-qt mixer, especially the new design of the whisk attachment! The oblong shape reaches every surface of the bowl for perfectly fluffy, whipped batters and doughs, and less scraping down the sides.

How to Enter

One grand prize winner will win two (2) 7-qt. Kitchenaid Bowl Lift Stand Mixers, in the color of your choice (red, black, or silver). Should you win, we will gladly either ship both mixers to you, or ship one to you and the other to directly to your friend.

To enter, simply answer the following question in the comments section of this post. What’s the first thing you’d make in your new Kitchenaid?

Contest ends Saturday, March 24 at 8 pm CST. One entry per person, please. Winner will be chosen by and notified by email. Giveaway graciously provided by Kitchenaid.

Thank you actually a whole lot. It aided! No less than i ultimately understood that which was happening!

  2. Tonia Clark

I would make an ENORMOUS batch of my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe and send you two a gift pack of them if I won! My Kitchenaid is really old (it was my Grandmothers) and I could really use a new one and I would give the extra one to my sister who also loves to bake!

  3. Sue Blanchard Richard

The first thing I would make in my stand mixer, should I win (!), is a pound cake or banana bread! I’ve been making banana bread with the boxed mixes you get at the store. Today, I made a new “scratch” banana bread recipe today for the first time, and it came out pretty good. Of course, I had to use my 40 year old (other brand) stand mixer. It’s passable, but still gives me a workout. I am in awe of the KitchenAids! I’ve had my heart set on a KSM150PSPE, but if I were lucky enough to WIN any KitchenAid stand mixer, I’d love it! I made my homemade potato salad today. It would have been nice to have a dough hook to stir it!

  4. Tatum

Just received your email! It’s been a busy, crazy week and your email TOTALLY made my day! Heck, you’ve made my month! I am so excited I can hardly contain myself! : ) THANK YOU!!! EEEEK!!!

  5. Lauren

If I won the mixer depending on when it would arrive I would use it for the first time to make my sons 6th birthday cake seeing as how he will be turning 6 on April 27th :)

  6. Margaret Dennison

I would make homemade Yeast Rolls – nothing could do it better than using my Kitchen Aide Mixer. I love them! Have one that is 50 years old – not positive but it has been in the family for many, many years! Kitchen Aide will ALWAYS be in our family for many more years to come. No one makes them better than Kitchen Aide!

  7. Krista

No way… one for me, and one for my BFF. That is so amazing!! The first thing I’d want to make is cream puffs. YUM!! Thank you for the chance.

  8. Jenna Winters

Oh my. I am in denial about owning one of these. I always tell my sisters it’s because I love hand mixing and things taste better that way, but…. OH how I would love this! And one to give my dear friend getting married! Happy Birthday Kevin and Amanda!

  9. Faren

I’ve been dying to try a bread recipe that is suppose to be identical to Outback’s bread. Unfortunately you need a stand mixer, I don’t have one. So that is the first recipe I would love to try if I won the mixer.

  10. Miafine Buchsein

Really need a fresh start, lost most all of my baking and cooking gear recently. This would be so well used!!!

  11. Julie OBrien

I would Raspberry Lemon Coffee-Cake, one thing I recently found that I have wanting to make this week. I love new baking recipes :)

  12. Sally S.

My grandmother’s wonderful chocolate pie recipe! It’s floated down to me through the generations. I could use the practice… to try and make it just like she does!

  13. Miranda D.

I’d start out with a yummy lemon tart — great for spring! The Kitchenaid attachments would be perfect to mix up the dough, beat eggs for filling, and add homemade whipped cream! And a lot more practical than my current full-blast-only handheld mixer.

  14. Ahmed

This is a really nice giveaway!

For health concerns, my family could use this to help with homemade and nutritious recipes. My kids like apple sauces so maybe a raspberry apple sause?

Wish everyone the best for this give away. Thank you.

  15. Carol Gee

I would make a double chocolate chip cake with deep chocolate fudge icing. But I would not be able to stop there I would just keep baking for days.

  16. Ada

    Oh my the fun!
I’ve been wanting to make those funfetti cupcakes you said were all the rage. Seriously smitten with em! And I just love the red :)

  17. Aubrey

I would make homemade “smarshmellows” as my kids call them and then a birthday cake for my soon to be 7 year old and homemade bread and fresh whipped cream… And so much more!!!!!

  18. April Bentley

The first thing I would make would be some type of custard dish. I’ve always wanted to try the whisk on a kitchenaid!!

  19. Belladatura

I’d love to say bread, but those skills aren’t quite there yet, so the first thing I’ll make will be a batch of oatmeal raisin cookies.

  20. Katherine Weaver

I’d whip up two chocolate cakes. One for us (in my brand new 7-Qt Kitchenaid Mixer) and one for my mother-in-law (which I’d deliver with “her” brand new Red 7-Qt Kitchenaid Mixer). ;)

  21. Gesci Meyer

My standard is angel food cake, but I think the first thing I’d make in a 7qt is a quadruple batch of chocolate chip cookies, just to revel in it’s massive bowl abilities!!

  22. Stork1

The first thing I would definitely make in In my new mixer would be Italian Bicotti’s!! I have a great recipe and it has a secret ingredient that make it fantastic!! ♥

  23. Marlee52

OMGosh! I have had this 7-qt KitchenAid mixer in RED on my ‘things I really want’ list for some time now. If I won this the first thing I would make is some of my wonderful sourdough bread – white and wheat – yum! Best bread I’ve ever had and my old KitchenAid mixer is really straining itself to make it and I’m afraid it may burn out the motor! Thanks!

  24. Sarah Ann

I would 100% make my favorite angel food cake from America’s Test Kitchen. Then I’d work on cupcakes, scones… My “mixer” is terrible and never mixes! *sigh*

  25. Christa M.

I would try my hand at Swiss buttercream…or perhaps a caramel cake…or maybe macarons…or a giant batch of my buttery chocolate chip and cocoa nib cookies.

  26. Anne

I know it’s a bit boring, but I would make a cake (chocolate and nuts). But I’d make my bff make one too at the same time while talking on the phone with each other. :-)

  27. Sharifah I.

A giveaway for you and a friend? WOW! An absolutely lovely way to celebrate birthday week :-) Congrats on 10 years, Amanda and Kevin.

What’s the first thing I’d make in my new Kitchenaid? The ideas could go on and on but I love sweets and so I think that’s the route I’d go. A yummy cheese cake. Plain old vanilla cheesecake. Hmm….

The other Kitchaid would go to my mom, whom I’d hope would be more adventurous with the first thing she makes :-p

Thanks for sharing such great giveaways for birthday weeks.

    Good luck too all :-)

  28. Jamie

I would make this butterscotch banana pie recipe I recently discovered on Pinterest! And the 2nd mixer would go to my bff and sister who I bake with every holiday season :)

  29. Jaci

English Muffin Bread… been thinking about it for a couple of weeks, but hate the messiness by hand or with my hand mixer. It would be so much easier with one of these.

  30. Peabea

Wow…hard question. There are so many things I’d want to make in this awesome mixer compared to my handmixer I currently use. I guess it would be to make a delicious chocolate cake.

  31. Sarah Bogue

The first thing I would make is definitely a 3 layer cake. I am at the beginning stages of a home based baking business and my 4.5 quart kitchenaid it’s cutting it. Instead of doubling a recipe I have to make the recipe 3 separate times in my mixer which is verrrryy time consuming! I need this mixer!! :-)

  32. Amber Tolman

I would go on a cupcake baking BONANZA and make chocolate chunk cupcakes with reese’s peanut butter frosting, lemon meringue cupcakes, AND chocolate cupcakes with marshmallow filling and chocolate ganache frosting….truly I would.

  33. Rachel Testi

To welcome this spring weather, I would create a sweet and slightly tangy lemon cake with a light strawberry whipped frosting. If only…!

  34. Amber Flowers

My kids and I eat primarily Gluten-free breads, cakes and pizza mixes. It’s hard on my wrist to manually stir it and too thick for my vintage hand mixer. I’d gladly use this to prepare our food eager to cook for us more often as the Gluten-free has helped us be more healthy, lose weight and reduce food allergy/behavior issues.

  35. Allyson @ A Heart for Home

I would totally make peanut butter cookies for my husband! And then have a party to pass the mixer onto my BFF.

  36. Alicia

Wow, what a great giveaway… the first thing I’d make is homemade bread. It’s something I’ve always wanted to try but have yet to do so. This mixer would sure motivate me!! :)

  37. Teresa McNicol

I have this Beautiful, wonderful friend Carissa. Carissa came in to my life one day in the hallway of the school when we were picking up our daughters. Carissa and the family had just moved from Japan to our little town of Vacaville in Ca. Her husband is in the Air Force. Carissa is the mother of 5 children. With her wonderful husband deployed for a 1 year tour Carissa findes herself alone again. I love and cherrish this wonderful lady and know that she loves to bake with the kitchen aid it will make her life so much easier. In June my beautiful Friend and her family may be moving to Germany I would love to bake with her until she leaves! We would make all the wonderful things she would love to make. I would be happy with that.

  38. Amanda

I have been dreaming of a kitchenaid mixer for many years! The first thing I’d make would be cinnamon toast crunch cupcakes – they look delicious!

  39. Karen

I’d make oatmeal raisin cookies – does it count as healthy since there’s oatmeal in it? Thanks for the chance to win!!

  40. Patricia with ziamariadesigns

I would love to whip up a massive batch of home cooked cinammon rolls with cream cheese frosting, yum yum. Happy anniversary and thank you for the fabulous giveaway!

  41. Kim

I would totally make a pumpkin caramel cake that I have the recipe for. It isn’t pumpkin season at all, but this mixer would be so fun to use to make my favorite cake!!

  42. Angie Kirkland

I would love to win the 7-qt. Kitchenaid Bowl Lift Stand Mixers. I would make an Italian Cream Cheese Cake. I would also give the friend mixer to my mother in love. She has had the same Kitchenaid Mixer that she got as a wedding gift 49 years ago. It still works!!!!! She is always making cakes for the family, friends, and the sick, so i know that she has got many miles on her mixer.

  43. Jehmie Durham

I first thing I would make with a new Kitchen Aid would be a batch of cupcakes with buttercream frosting!!! Thank you for the chance!

  44. Shellie S L

This would be such a beautiful asset to my kitchen. The first thing I would do is make my BFF a Dark Chocolate cake as yesterday was her birthday!!!

  45. Lindsey

I would have to make cinnamon rolls. Nothing beats a homemade cinnamon roll fresh out of the oven…and homemade cream cheese frosting. :-)

  46. Lacie

The first thing I would make are some from scratch cupcakes, probably pina-colado flavor. Sounds easy but when you live at the bottom of Pikes Peak in Colorado baking can be a challenge and its all about the science of what each ingredient does when heated.

  47. Jamie

Ohh, there are so many things I would make. I think I would make some sort of bread using the dough hook, no more kneading! But of course chocolate chip cookies are also a must!

  48. Joni Roberts

If I won I’d make triple lemon cupcakes!!! I recently came across a recipe and have been wantng to try it ever since!!

    CONGRATS on 10 years!!

    Thank you!

  49. Cindy Ford

I would make Nestle’s homemade chocolate chip cookies for my kids so they could see how to make them without buying the pre-made ones at the grocery store! That’s how I had to make them when I was a kid :)

  50. Tania Stenzel

Wow….look at how pretty that red is….I need an upgrade.
I would totally make a batch of dark chocolate cupcakes with a caramel swiss meringue buttercream.

  51. Jacqui

Hands down I would make some yummy yummy mashed potatoes! I can’t seem to get the consistency I want but growing up my mom made the most wonderfull smooth and fluffy mashed potatoes in her mixer! Would love to carry on the tradition and dear husband would be pretty excited too! :)

  52. Keri Prunty

I don’t know what exactly I would make first. I haved wanted this mixer for so many years in the red gotta have the red. So I would need new dishes with that lol Maybe that German version of Black Forest Cake since our cute little bakery had closed several years ago we can’t find a good and I haven’t tried it yet. But I would and I can send a picture to prove it.

  53. Pamela

The first thing I would make would be some white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies for my hubby. They’re his favorite.

  54. Malerie Veillon

Congratulations on your successful blog, and THANK YOU for all the wonderful opportunities! I think I would make my favorite–chocolate chip cookies (mother-in-law’s recipe!); in fact, she’s probably the person I’d give the second mixer to bc she’s always baking and trying to do something nice for others! Thanks again!

  55. Allysa marey

  56. Anna

  57. Avis Peterson

    Happy Birthday! 10th Yippee!

  59. Shaunna

Chocolate cake—I’ve been wanting a piece all week! Having a new kitchenaid mixer to try out would be a great excuse to give into my chocolate cake craving!! :)

  60. Dawn

Wow – exciting giveaways!! I would probably start with a nice stiff cookie dough to give the machine a good breaking-in, then I’d have to check Pinterest for other yummy recipes to try.

  61. Lydia

I love this kind of mixer! But we haven’t been able to afford a new one in so long, we only have a hand-held mixer that’s really old. I would make either a chocolate-strawberry cheesecake or Swedish pancakes! And the second one would go to my mom, I’ve been trying to get her in the kitchen more.

  62. Christine Jackson

Where would I start??? :-) I’ve wanted one for so long, but can’t afford it. I’d probably start with cookies from scratch and then pumpkin pie for my husband, followed by cupcakes for my daughter’s class at school. :-)

  63. Wanda

Oh boy! I’d make Chocolate Crinkle Cookies & BREAD dough!!!!
I’ve been trying to win one of these for about 6 years! It’s beautiful!

  64. Dana Wilhelm

Since I’m new to cooking, I’d either pick a random Paula Deen recipe (I have had really good luck with those; they always come out perfect) or I’d pick some challenge of a dessert on Pinterest!!!! :) I’ve always wanted one of these mixers! My grandmother would get the other one for sure. She’s the one I tell everything to, and who listens, so I would say she is my BFF.

  65. Andrea Pesenti

I’m going to be honest, I am not a good cook/baker but I enjoy it!!! I would love a Kitchenaid because I’ve never had one, and I need to start practicing. I’d start out by making a simple chocolate ,cake!

  66. Sarah Espinoza

I would make a wonderful homemade gluten free chocolate cake. It would give me and my BFF a fun way to to try new gluten free recipes!

  67. Kim Brooks

I would make your Ooey Gooey Fudge Oreo Brownies! They look delicious! I’d probably never come out of the kitchen though. :)

  68. Shana

I would make tons of cookies, Snickerdoodles and Chocolate Chip. I’d take them to work and leave them in the staff lounge for everyone to enjoy! =)

  69. Heather :) :) :)

I’d make a gluten free bread or some gluten free almond cracker dough in that mixer!!! Thanks for hosting this awesome giveaway :) Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather :)

I would get the pasta attachment and make my wife chicken broccoli fettuccini alfredo because it’s her favorite.

  73. Dana

A batch of Pioneer Woman cinnamon rolls! You only use the mixer for about 2.5 seconds, but that dough hook makes it soooo easy!

  74. Crystal

I’d make the Jamie Oliver recipe I just found yesterday: Meringue with Pears, Cream, Toasted Hazelnuts and Chocolate Sauce! Not looking forward to whipping all those egg whites with a hand-mixer…

  75. carly gonzalez

The first thing I would make would be oatmeal rasin cookie. There is a cold going around our home right now and grams homemade o.r cookies always make us feel better

  76. Deanna Blackwood
