What would I make? The mostly made thing would probably be almond flour from whole almonds. I hear this machine is great for that! Maybe some raw soups.

Tabetha October 11, 2012 at 5:55 am

Well, were it still warm out I totally would have said berry smoothies {with fresh berries from the farmer’s market}. But today its in the low 50′s {which is awesomely wonderful}, so instead I’m gonna go with my husband’s acorn squash soup…which I could really use a bowl of ’round ’bout now!

Olivia @ Liv Lives Life October 11, 2012 at 5:55 am

My favorite thing to make is a protein smoothie! Frozen berries, OJ, a handful of spinach, and some protein powder. Yum!

Smoothies, ices/icecream, and it gets a workout during canning season chopping and poreeing all manner of things. great site, thanks!

Inma October 11, 2012 at 6:02 am

In Summer, when it’s hot, all you want to have is a cold soup. My favorite thing to blend are fresh vegetables for a GAZPACHO SOUP!!

1 1/2 pounds vine-ripened tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped.
1 cup cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped
1/2 cup chopped green pepper
1 medium garlic clove, minced
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 lime, juiced OR 2 teaspoons of white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon table salt
Breadcrumbs are optional as well as onion (I don’t like raw onion much).

Place the tomatoes and their juice into the blender. Add the cucumber, green pepper, garlic clove, olive oil, lime juice, salt and puree for 15 to 20 seconds on high speed. Pour the pureed mixture to the bowl and stir to combine. Cover and chill for 2 hours and up to overnight. THAT’S IT! So quick & easy, so fresh and healthy! :)

rebecca @ beurrista October 11, 2012 at 6:37 am

this sounds so easy and delicious!

Uli October 11, 2012 at 6:03 am
