I hope everyone had a very merry Christmas! My mom and I have been cooking up a storm this week. Just like we always do when we get together! If we’re not hitting the sales, we can’t seem to stay out of the kitchen. Here’s another one of my favorite holiday treats from my mom. I am in love with these sweet, cinnamon-y, roasted pecans. They are so completely dangerous to have around the house! I can’t stop munching on these little mini sugar bombs. :)
Pecans are good for you.. right?
These are so easy to make. All you need are pecans, sugar, cinnamon, salt, egg whites and water.
You need 2 egg whites for this recipe, but go ahead and save those egg yolks. I have a wonderful cookie recipe coming at you next week that calls for egg yolks. You’ll be glad you did! :)
Mix the egg whites with 2 tablespoons of water.
Toss in your pecans..
And stir to coat.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
Then sprinkle it like a waterfall onto the pecans.
Stir well to coat, making sure every last morsel of pecan is covered in the cinnamon-sugar perfection. You’ll be glad you did.
Spread the sugar-glazed pecans onto a baking sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake these on low heat, 225, for one hour. You’ll want to give these a stir every 15 minutes.
Oh man, when you open that oven, prepare to be blown away. These will make your house smell like the holidays like nothing else! :) Roasted pecans, sugar, cinnamon… Glorious. These bite-sized treats are such a fun holiday indulgence!

- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 4 cups (16 oz) pecans
- Preheat oven to 225. In a large bowl, beat the egg whites and water until foamy. Add pecans and stir to coat.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, salt and cinnamon, then pour over the pecans, stirring to coat.
- Spread pecans on a baking sheet that has been sprayed with cooking spray and bake for one hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
