Today, my days are still mixed up from the long weekend, but I’m so glad it’s Friday, and I’m so thrilled to share this giveaway with you! I’ve got a brand new, stainless steel double oven range from LG to give away.

One Kevin & Amanda winner will receive their choice of either a Stainless Steel Electric Double Oven Range ($1699 value) or the Stainless Steel Gas Double Oven Range ($1899 value). Yes, it’s true!

lg-stainless-steel-double-oven-electric-range-giveaway

Here’s a look at the Freestanding Stainless Steel Electric Double Oven Range.

  • 6.7 cu. ft. Total Oven Capacity
    (2.3 cu. ft. / 4.4 cu. ft.)
  • Tallest Upper Oven (6″)
  • InfraGrillâ„¢ Broiler (Upper Oven)
LG’s first infrared heating element gets your oven to broil temperature more quickly and cuts 30% off your cooking time on common items like hamburgers and chicken breasts. Infrared cooking — which uses the same technology as premium outdoor grills — also allows your food to be juicier than traditional thermal cooking.
  • True Convection System (Lower Oven)
    — Convection Bake
    — Convection Roast
  • 5 Radiant Cooktops with Warming Zone

It’s also got a “proof” setting for baking bread, and a “keep warm” setting for holding food warm while everything else gets ready. Love these extra features.

The smooth cooktop on the electric range is durable and super easy to keep clean. So far I’ve only had to use hot water and a dish rag. At first I was worried about scratching a smooth cooktop — I’m shaking my pans around constantly. But this cooktop feels durable and so far there’s not a scratch on it. And I’m in love with this beautiful bright blue interior!

lg-black-and-white-double-oven-gas-range-giveaway

The electric double oven comes in stainless steel as well as black or white — the winner may pick their color. The Gas oven comes in Stainless Steel.

And here’s the Freestanding Stainless Steel Gas Double Oven Range.

  • Convection Conversion
  • Convection Bake
  • Convection Roast
  • 5 Sealed Gas Cooktop Burners
  • Premium Stainless Steel Finish
  • Brilliant Blue Interior
  • SuperBoilâ„¢ Burner
Spend less time waiting and more time cooking. The powerful Superboilâ„¢ 17,000 BTU Burner brings water and other liquids to a boil quickly.

The winner may pick their choice of gas or electric, and you can visit the links above for more information on each range.

My son-in -law thinks the best test of a new oven is just to preheat it according to the directions and throw a cheese pizza in there. I’m the gourmet cook in the family, but I agree with him. I know I would cook something much more

I would want to try a home made pizza in this oven. Maybe a buffalo chicken style or a mariachi style pizza. Buffalo sauce, chicken, red onions, and a mild ranch sauce.
For the other one chicken, jalapeanos, onions, covered in nacho cheeses and topped with sour creme.

  134. Julie W

The first thing I would make is red velvet cupcakes! I have been toying with a from-scratch recipe for a few months and have finally perfected it! But a new oven would probably make them even better!

  135. Emily

The first thing I would make in my new oven is a delicious dinner (Herb Roasted Chicken) and dessert (carrot cake) for my new husband!

The first thing I would fix in the oven is my mom’s Hershey’s Disappearing Chocolate Cake. It is one of my family’s favorites!

  137. Michelle Feneide

Oh! I love a double oven. I think I’d do potatoes in one, and maybe garlic bread in the other. It makes me excited for Thanksgiving, so many things in the oven!!

  139. Nima Ferguson

This is the stove I’ve been eyeing for months for my new place! First thing I would make is Ina Garten’s vegetable pot pie. My five year old son’s favorite meal! And while the oven is on and heated, the Graham cracker crust for a French silk pie…my daughter’s favorite dessert! (and yes, I would turn the oven on even if it is going to be 100 degrees here in St. Louis today! )

  140. Carolyn

Wowzer! What I have always wanted since I lack the space for an “official” double oven!! I would cook my “famous” chocolate chip cookes – and get them done in record time! Thanks for the chance!

  142. Natalie Ropelato

I would make cinnamon rolls!!! I love my recipe…the roll recipe is from the Lion House recipe book (just their dinner roll) and I make that into cinnamon rolls. Very moist and of course I use LOTS of cinnamon!

  143. Mandy Kirk

I would make cookies, something so simple, but my current oven makes very flat very ugly cookies! :)

  144. Jackie

I would totally be baking cinnamon rolls, scones, cookies, and bread and whatever else I could get done in one day! Thanks Picky palate for sending me!

  145. Amanda

What a great giveaway! The first thing I would make would be a nice loaf of homemade bread. There’s nothing like the smell of fresh baked bread!
    {p.s. My husband’s name is Kevin :)}

  146. Debra Graves

This looks like an awesome giveaway. i have never won anything before and this would be the best thing I could think of to win. What would I cook first? Bread, lots of bread. I love the smell of fresh baked bread and while a bread machine is okay, it is not exactly the same. In a double oven like this and with the ability to bake twice as much as I might normally be able to make in a single oven, the house would smell a little like my idea of heaven.

  147. Deron

How cool is this?! I would love to try Prime Rib coated with herbs and homemade Peach cobbler for my entire family that just happens to be coming for a family reunion!

  148. Lucy Gonzalez

Well after being homeless for 3 months and finally getting back on my feet this would a great addition since I am in need of one =) The first thing I would bake is a chicken, with baby potatoes, carrots, and onions in one oven. In the other I would bake my famous Impossible cake, its been a long time since I’ve baked one of those. Just a small homecooked meal would be nice instead of microwaving lol =)

  158. Manda Elkins

  169. Heather Wood

Wow! That’s a lot of competition with that many comments! :) I would bake my favorite recipe for the oven, No Fry Eggplant Parmigian. Delicious! Right now, our oven radiates too much heat in the summer, I can’t use it in the summer.

  170. Amanda

What an incredible opportunity. I’ve always wanted a double oven for busy holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. It never seems like it’s possible to get everything on the table at the same time!

  171. annegirrl

I would bake some french bread pizza, my current obsession, followed by some macadamia nut cookies.

I would love the double oven, with my big extended family it would take a
double oven to take care of everything. What a treat that would be!!
I would, of course, bake all three Grandkids favorites first. They love to help
me cook. Thanks for the oppurtunity.

  178. Kinley

I would make my husband’s favorite: Pâté de pommes de terre (he’s French, as is this recipe). It is a very simple meat pie type dish with potatoes, onions, diced ham, and cream – all encircled by delicious pastry crust. Mmm. It needs a good oven to cook it in though – our last oven only heated to 250 degrees, and it was very difficult to cook anything in it, let alone this recipe!

  179. Susan D

Pie would be the first thing that I would bake. It would definitely be a peach pie if it is summertime or, if during the autumn, a pumpkin pie or a pecan pie

I would probably bake something sweet! Cake, cookies, who knows– I’m pregnant and CRAVING chocolate!!!!! (Guess DH would have to bake whatever actually, as I’m on bed rest for preterm labor :-( YUCK!!!!) Orrrrr—- a nice dinner. This double oven excites me because I hate not being able to bake 2 things at once when they call for different temps! So, this fixes that problem!!!

  191. Mildred

If the oven arrives around Thanksgiving, I would make Thanksgiving dinner. If it came earlier, the first thing that I would bake is a pie, probably apple pie or peach pie depending on the fruit available at that time of year

  192. AnaBel

WOW! Maybe a fancy oven like this can make be a better cook :o) I’m actually looking into getting a full size oven, because right now I have a mini built in that I call my Holly Hobbie oven – way too small for a family of four – let alone any dinner guests! And convection – that’s sure to make cooking and baking better!!
    Thanks Amanda & LG!!

Wow!! love this…What I could do as a single mom with 3 kiddos who love to eat!!! This oven looks amazing!!!!! Lynn

  194. Sonya Lipscomb

  201. Rachel

Oh my goodness! I NEED this oven!! Let’s see…for breakfast, I would make homemade cinnamon rolls. I’ve been dying to try them. For a snack, I’d make homemade soft pretzels! And for dinner, I would slowly braise short ribs in one oven while making rolls in the other. :)

  202. Andrea

What an amazing giveaway! My parents have a double oven and love it! First thing I would make is either a coconut poke cake or banana chocolate chip bread!
