I am freakishly fascinated by this unassuming little scale.

More than once I’ve stepped on that devilish contraption known as the bathroom scale and wondered, Well, hmm. What the heck is going on here?

Are those extra pounds just water weight?

Why am I not losing weight? Am I just gaining muscle?

I’ve always been curious. And this scale can tell you. The Precision GoFit Digital Body Fat Scale by EatSmart sends a safe, low level electrical current through your body which allows the scale to analyze your body in a matter of seconds. Not only does it display your weight, but here’s what all it tells you.

    Fresh raw veggies with a fat free/lo-cal ranch or dill dip. Or zuchinni & carrot muffins made with applesauce…it helps my 2 year old actually eat the veggies!

    Fruit smoothies. I use any fresh or frozen fruit I have on hand, vanilla yogurt, milk and V8 diet juice. Throw them all in my Ninja & wa la….a wonderful smoothie!

    My all time favorite snack is honey with flax seed and punkin seeds. Stir them together and you get an almost gorilla bar. It’s amazing!

    Such a cool scale! I’d have to say my favorite snack right now is a piece of sprouted-grain Ezekiel Bread toasted with a dab of roasted red pepper hummus and a little goat cheese. Mmm. So good I usually make it a meal too!

    I am involved in a friend’s weight loss challenge right now and would love a real scale! I always question the accuracy of my dial one!
    My favorite healthy snack these days is a thin bagel toasted with peanut butter and sliced banana on top. It has been serving as my breakfast for awhile now, very filling too!

    My usual healthy snack is almonds, but lately I’ve added sliced cucumbers soaked in a 3 parts white vinegar 1 part water mix. Yummy!

    My favarite healthy snack is a smoothie made with 1 C of skim milk or unsweetened almond milk, a frozen banana, a big Tb. of cocoa powder (low fat plus fiber!), a couple splendas since the cocoa powder is bitter, and ice. If I have it in the morning, I also add a tsp of instant espresso. It’s SO good!

    I’m excited about this give away. I had a baby 5 months ago and those last few pounds are so stubborn and it would be nice to figure out what exactly it is…water…fat…have I gained muscle?
    Anyway, one of my favorite healthy snacks is yogurt. Especially the Danon Light-n-fit. There are only 80 calories in that little cup and I love how yummy it is. So, that’s it. Hope I win. Fingers crossed. :)

    I eat something every 3 hours which helps me curb my appetite . It ususally consists of a protein snack I ( 1 small chicken breast, a half cup of beans & rice, a small piece of fish). By the way I love the scale. I sure could use it!

    I am loving Chickpea Rattlers- just open a can of Chickpeas. Drain. Add cinnamon and sugar. Coat and toast in oven for about an hour- they are like little nuts! Delicious and healthy!

    I need a cool scale like that! I think the Baybel cheese is my favorite snack. I get the lowfat ones from Costco. I also love Naked juices, but I can only drink a little bit at once. I’m hoping to win :)

    My favorite healthy snack is a fruit smoothie. I use fat free milk, frozen fruit (I like the mixed bag) and a couple of tablespoons of greek yogurt. Occasionally I will throw in a teaspoon of honey. It always makes me think of a milk shake, but better!

    I looove carrots i just could eat them like i eat water (which is a lot)
    and i just keep telling myself (im on a very good diet now and never been this much motivated as i am now) that they look like yummy brezel to me… so what i do i buy the Philadelphia Cream Cheese with very low calories in it and just dip it in :) and keep telling myself hey its so yummy and it just looks like chocolate to you.. so yeah that helped me and instead of taking bad snacks like a fast food burger or chocolate i cut my carrots and start dipping :)

    Hope i have a chance here that scale would def help me more in my diet.

    Oh my goodness, that scale is AMAZING and something I not only want, but need. I have been changing my lifestyle since January and have dropped 32 pounds. It’s so nice to see the number going down but this scale would give me so much more information to keep me motivated and help me guide my food decisions!

    Some of my favorite healthy snacks are 1/2 cup Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal, cucumber with lime juice squeezed over it, and jalapeno string cheese sticks. Can’t wait to read the rest of the suggestions. Thanks!

    I love fruit – try to always keep it around. I also love Chobani Greek yogurt in the pineapple flavor or the honey flavor. If I’m really craving something chocolatey though, I’ll make a banana split without the ice cream – a frozen banana and some chocolate syrup with a cherry on top. I’ve also been told that you can warm up a little peanut butter so less goes farther and drizzle that on the banana!

This would really help me track my health better than a regular scale. :) One of my favorite healthy snacks is pretty much anything (fresh cucumbers or peppers, whole wheat pitas) with hummus. If I am craving something sweeter. I make some healthified muffins with dark chocolate chips.

    What an awesome giveaway!!! I have been so inspired by your weight loss story! I started last April and have lost 60 pounds! I went from a size 16 to a size 6, and I can’t tell you how many times I re-read your story to keep myself motivated and encouraged. I ate 1200 calories a day and did the 30 Day Shred DVD every day. Now, I keep around 1400 calories a day and workout 5 days a week. My favorite snack is cheetos 100 calorie packs. :) But I know they are empty calories, so I’ll just have those a few times a week and will have 100 calorie natural almonds or apples slices with a dallop of peanut butter for a snack with “healthy fats” on other days. :) The dogs love apples and peanut butter too, so they love those days as they then get some too! :)

    – Shake up a greek yogurt with fruit to try to get it to mix a bit. Then put it in the freezer and it becomes a cold, healthy treat on a hot day!

    WOW, who knew a scale could do all that…will it do liposcution too??? My son is 9 yrs old and is always telling me I need to lose weight. Nice huh? I have been very stressed out and not eating properly at all…just told my husband this morning that I am afraid to get on the scale. This scale is gadgety which makes it fun, could getting on the scale be fun?? I would LOVE to find out. We try to always have Granola Bars in the house for a quick grab, I enjoy breaking them up into my yogurt. Bananas and peanut butter is also an all time favorite!

    I have the same problem with my scale too, for sure! Not only extra pounds that come out of nowhere, but sometimes 5 to 10 pounds will just disappear within a day, and I know I haven’t done anything to cause that to happen. As for healthy snacks, I love a banana cut in half both ways with peanut butter spread over each slice and then–get this–a little bit of lemon juice squeezed on each piece. It’s absolutely delicious, try it before you turn your nose up at it. :)

    I’d have to say, a whole wheat tortilla with a wedge of laughing cow cheese smeared on it with some turkey lunch meat! Warm it up a bit and it’s heaven in under 150 calories in most cases, depending on the Tortilla! (I love La Tortilla Factory!)

    Fresh, home grown fruit! Oh, well with a bit of homemade yogurt. We are lucky to grow most of our own fruits, which include mangos, bananas, oranges, grapefruit, dates, currants, lemons, guavas, and a handful of exotic fruits. Never put any sugar or sweetener on my fruits. Thats the best snack ever!

    I like to get non-fat Greek yogurt and add my own teaspoon of organic jam or jelly to sweeten the yogurt (a lot less sugar than if you were to buy the pre-flavored Greek yogurts).

    My favorite healthy snack is a 1/2 cup of cooked lentils. I cook up about three cups (dried) at a time. I lightly season them with sea salt. I eat them every day after lunch at 2pm. They fill me up and hold me over until dinner time. The nutritional value is impressive. I used to have an afternoon addiction to soda and something sweet. Lentils are a great for regulating blood sugar so I no longer have the desire to have the have the afternoon sugar and soda.

    My favorite, everyday, all-time snack would be Blueberry Stonyfield Oikos Yogurt, mixed with fresh sliced bananas, blueberries and a teaspoon or two of peanut butter! I know it sounds gross, but it’s really good ~ trust me! Stonyfield also has a new flavor, Super Fruits, with acai, raspberry and pomegranate. Delicious, eaten straight from the container, no need for extra goodies! :)

Specifically, I like a lowfat string cheese or a cute little Babybell and a few reduced fat Triscuits (whole wheat cracker for those non-US readers).     My mom and I usually eat our snack with…
    Tuna + Mayonnaise + Sugar = Spread in our Sky Flakes.
    We substitute Sky Flakes than loaf bread. :)
    Although you may think that mayonnaise and sugar are not healthy, we just apply in a little amount so it is still healthy.

    I am a HUGE fan of Veggie Chips/Straws and Spinach Hummus! I have even gotten my niece addicted to them (the veggie draws of course).
    I also enjoy a nice fruit smoothie after a hard workout or on a hot day and I think I “need to eat”! I take OJ, frozen fruit (the tropical blend is fabulous), a few ice cubes and vanilla powder. Blend it in the blender until all chunks are pretty much gone and pour into a fun cup, get a straw, a good book, or check out your favorite blogs, relax and enjoy:)!

    My favourite snack at the moment is to take a flax tortilla, a little peanut butter, and a little honey or a few raisins, unpeel and place a banana in the middle and roll up the tortilla around the banana!! Yummmy!! I could really use that scale!!! Hee hee!!

    I love Bear Naked Chocolate Granola. It certainly hits that sweet tooth and is sometimes too good to put down. You can also add some low fat vanilla yogurt and top with strawberries for a wonderful “cool” afternoon snack after a hot day outside :) My children love it too.

    All these snack ideas are making me hungry! My favorite snack HUMMUS! Super easy to make and goes great with any kind of healthy chips or fresh veggies. I make my own all the time: 1 cup organic chic peas (save 1/2 of water from can to add to processor), 1 or 2 tbs tahini (depends on taste), 1/2 lemon or lime, salt and pepper to taste (I usualy use 1tsp of each). Put all ingredients in a food processor drizzle with olive oil and enjoy! Super easy and SUPER HEALTHY :)

    Love this scale…thanks for giving us the chance to win. I really love fresh fruit — just about any kind. I especially love apples, bananas, and grapes. My absolute favorite, though, is so yummy that we sometimes have it as a healthy, low-calorie dessert. Fresh strawberries, sliced, topped with strawberry glaze and cool whip. We use the glaze that’s made with Splenda (the brand we find around here is T. Marzetti), and we use Cool Whip Free. It’s so good. I think I’ll go have some now.

    So, would chocolate Mini Wheats count as a healthy snack? They satisfy my urge for chocolate AND crunch, and they’re fairly low in fat and sugar. If those little pillows of Chocolate Heaven don’t count, I’d say any fruit smoothie made just with fruit and ice ~ add some granola or nuts, and you’ve got a great snack or mini-meal. Thank you for offering these scales ~ I’m intrigued by the electric current, but I’m guessing it’s less shocking than my weight swings! :)

    How cool is this? I am so trying to get off some of this jiggle-jiggle. In 2000 I went on WW and went from a size 18 (which made me almost as round as my 4′ 10” frame) to a 2. I kept the weight off for almost 10 years. Over the last year, I have really started packing it back on {sigh}! I’m sure some of the problem is my unavoidable knocking on 40’s door. In September, when I will actually step through that door, I would LOVE to be styling a size 4!

    But, back to the task at hand… I am a self-confessed junk food junkie. I HATE most all veggies, but I am desperately trying to make new friends. I do love fruit, but again, you have to be careful of those as well. My husband keeps me a stock of dehydrated pineapple and most of the time there is a bag of sliced apples in the fridge.

    What a cool device! I have been working at changing the way I eat since January and have been losing weight pretty steadily. My muscle/fat ratio is my biggest challenge as I am losing weight but still have problems with the muffin top. This scale looks like it would help when you are trying to do more than just lose the pounds.

    My favorite healthy snack has to be fruits! I like almost any and every fruit out there. YOu can’t go wrong. It helps me satisfy my craving for sweets.

    One way I eat a banana is a little less healthy than eating it raw, but it’s a good snack is you cut banana’s in about 5 or 6 pieces. Then mix almond butter and nutella together (I do a little more almond butter than nutella) and dip one side of the banana in the glorious mixture. Then smash up some nuts (I like using macadamias because they go well with the flavor of nutella) and then dip the banana in the nuts.     This is quite the impressive scale!! My favorite healthy snack (besides anything with peanut butter…and that’s not that healthy – guilty pleasure) has to be a Mango Lassi! I am lactose intolerant so I use soy milk (which I find is quite healthy thanks to all the additives), exotic mangoes (I prefer whole instead of canned), my homemade vanilla extract, some plain yogurt and usually some sugar but you could use honey as well (or if feeling adventurous try it with Canadian maple syrup! Mmmh delightful).

    That scale looks amazing! I am currently in a “extreme body makeover” and this would really be beat to have. I have a HUGE sweet tooth! I take frozen blueberries or blackberries (raspberries have too many seeds) put in a small storage container that has a lid, add a some skim milk that just barely covers them and a little sweetner, put the lid on and shake well. It makes a slushy sweet treat and I love it!

    My favorite healthy snack? Definitely Greek Yogurt – Blueberry.

    I am also addicted to sliced apples with cinnamon, but you need to add a wee bit of protein to your snacks, so roasted almonds or other nuts are generally my choice.

    When it comes to healthy snacks…my favorite is yogurt. I just love it and love the fact that my daughter is crazy about it. I love eating healthy snacks not just to control my weight. I mostly do it because I want my family to acquire a healthy routine and that they think of it as something that they crave and that will also be good for their body. I really wish that my toddler keeps thinking of yogurt and fruits as something as delicious as a giant cup of ice cream.     My all time favorite healthy snack is (drum roll please…): for the sweet tooth: grapefruit and for the salty cravings: warm tortillas cut into wedges and dipped in fresh salsa! I also love munching on a graham cracker for a quick fix since they tend to keep my stomach satisfied for a bit longer. Also, here’s a tip: when you feel like you need a snack, grab the water first!     This is a little different than what has been listed so far. I love Korean Samgak Kim Bap. It is triangle (samkag) shaped rice (bap) wrapped in seaweed (kim). You can add fillings of your choice be if veggies and mushrooms to tuna and kimchi. My favorites are adding tuna or salmon that has been stir fried(light to no oil) with garlic, green onion, soy sauce, black pepper, and toasted sesame seeds. I also like to add kimchi. It is tucked in the middle of sushi rice and then wrapped in delicious seaweed. So satisfying and easy to take along with you. This is a popular picnic food in Korea. My 15 month old son loves this.     My favorite healthy snack right now are these cherry/oatmeal muffins.
    Throw 2 beaten eggs in a bowl, add 1 cup of whole wheat flour, oatmeal, sourmilk,with 1/2 cup melted butter, brown sugar, 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Then add 1 cup frozen cherries (or blueberries) and bake @ 350 till done! Yummy!!

    This would be the perfect addition to my weight loss plan! Eating Healthy and Living Healthy!
    My new discovery are the FlatOut Bread Light Flatbread. I bake one on my stone (preheated) for about 6 minutes. Take it out. Top with a small amount of pizza sauce, mushrooms, black olives, and mini turkey pepperoni. Top with a sprinkle of 2% shredded mozzerella and put back on the stone in the oven on broil for a minute or 2. You have to watch it so the edges don’t get too done!! It is the best treat with a salad and a Diet Dr Pepper! And very low fat, low calorie! Yummm!

I adore baking and a new favorite healthy treat is applesauce pear zucchini bread, made with just a touch of stevia. It is full of fruits and veggies with no fat and sugar, just the natural sweetness of stevia. It is so yummy :)

    Fruit salsa! Finely chop any fruit you have in your house, but strawberry base is my favorite. Add blueberries, kiwis, apples, whatever.

    Then brush some tortillas with olive oil, sprinkle with a little cinnamon-sugar and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes. Dip chips in the salsa for a tasty healthy snack!

    Just last weekend, my sister and I came across this delicious, healthy recipe that we have raved about ever since! It’s a truffle dessert that is very flexible! Here’s what we did {feel free to substitute your favorite fruit and change the pudding}:
    –Use trifle bowl (for looks) or any bowl you can find!
    1. Cover the bottom with one-inch cubes of angel food cake
    2. Cover the cake with strawberries and blueberries
    3. Cover the fruit with white chocolate pudding (we used skim milk)
    4. Cover the pudding with fat-free whipped topping
    Repeat until your bowl is full (you usually end with the whipped topping for decoration)! It should be refrigerated approximately 4 hours before eating.
    -My sister and I are not cooks by any means, so if we can do it…you can too! Try it…we love it!

    I really like celery and fresh ground peanut butter with a few raisins on top for sweetness. Did you know that celery helps you burn fat?! Then add the protein in the peanuts and the good fat that your body needs, along with a few good carbs from the raisins and you have it made! Also love homemade protein bars.

I have been following the low GI diet for 1 1/2 years and love the recipe I found for fruit crisp that uses whole oats, Splenda brown sugar and Promise Buttery spread. This is so good and tastes like dessert. And, of course, I adore cookies. I didn’t think I would ever find a really healthy cookie, but sure enough I have. It also uses the Spenda brown sugar, whole oats and Promise Butter spread… but the naughty side of me adds peanut butter chips. I freeze these and put two in the microwave when I need a warm, gooey cookie experience….so good. It just helps get me over that hump we hit.

    My favorite healthy thing to eat after I excercise: a strawberry banana smoothie made with yogurt, ice and a splash of OJ, plus a spinach and broccoli salad with craisins tossed in a very small amount of ranch. If you wash the broccoli first it leaves a little bit of water on it and thins out the ranch a bit so your veggies are covered, but you don’t have to use a ton of ranch :) SUPERFOODS galore!

My favorite, quick snack is called Almond Chocolate chip parfait. greek non-fat yogurt, 1/4 tsp almond extract or whatever you like, 1 TBSP small choc chips, and sprinkle with chopped up almonds.     I have always loved cantelope. I love eating some (ripe) cantelope as a good snack. I would choose it over chocolate, or cookies, any day. However, in high school I was also known to snack on a big bowl of peas right after I got home from school, and I would eat corn on the cob at any point in time if people are making it. So any of those three I guess!

    I love to mix corn flakes (or special k with dried fruit) and trail mix. That way you get a more filling snack, with less of the calories than eating the same amount in just nuts and chocolate etc. Also the crisp crunch of the corn flakes is a nice contrast.

    My favorite healthy snack is cantalop – especially on a really hot day. I cut it up into chunks and store it away in the fridge so it gets nice and cold. When I’m feeling peckish, I simply scoop out a cup. By cutting it into chunks, it also makes the cup feel like I’m getting a lot more then if I did a wedge.

    I make up a smoothie type snack that I freeze into individual containers that I love! Here is the recipe (even though most times I “eyeball” these measurements): 2 cups FF milk, 3 to 4 tablespoons of FF Vanilla instant pudding dry mix, 1/4 – 1/2 cup of splenda granulates(depends on how sweet you want it), a tablespoon of vanilla extract flavoring and frozen strawberries (I buy the sliced ones in the big bags at Sams). I place all ingredients in blender except strawberries and blend well. I add the frozen strawberries a few at a time until I get the consistence I want (around 2 cups). I will pour these in 1 cup containers and this makes around 4 or 5 containers, depending on how much I want to eat right then. You can use any type of frozen fruit to change the flavor.
    I love getting a frozen one out and “scrapping” bites as I watch evening TV because it last for a while and keeps me from constant snacking.

    I have so a few healthy snacks I like but my favorites are my frozen strawberry popsicles and smoothies. For the popsicles, I cut a pint of fresh strawberries into small pieces and blend 3/4 of it with 2-3 tbsp of agave nectar, then mix the remaining strawberries in the mixture, place it popsicle molds and freeze. They are super fresh and yummy!! I also love smoothies in the morning, just 1 cup frozen fruit (I freeze berries, mangoes, and banana together), 3/4-1 cup orange juice (I use Tropicana50 with 50% less calories and sugar), and 1 tbsp of flaxseed oil. Blend it all up and drink up!!

    I love granola – I always get the Kellogg’s Low Fat Granola cereal without raisins. I also like to buy those 100 calorie packs at the stores, so I can control my portions. That’s easier for me than digging out a measuring cup – especially if I’m at work or on the go.

    I think my favorite healthy snack is fresh fruit or veggies! Sometimes, if it’s out of season, I will make a fruit smoothie! I can’t wait until all of our fruit trees bear fruit so I can have fresh fruit and smoothies from our very own trees!! :-)

    This is awesome! If I am working out and gaining weight I try and think it is muscle but I still get worried. My favorite healthy snack is greek yogurt topped with strawberries and drizzled with agave nectar. I also really like cucumbers with lime juice and a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

    What an awesome giveaway!!! It is unbelieveable that a scale can do all of that now. My favorite snack is plain old cheerios. Eat them one at a time so I can get the most mileage from them.

    For a light supper, I love to take a whole wheat tortilla, cut it in half and put one half in the skillet. I then sprinkle on a little low fat cheese, salsa and refried beans. If I have it, I sometimes add some shredded chicken. I then put the top half on, warm up, and then I have a low cal, filling supper. Love the scale!

    I am on a gluten free diet and I can only have rice every 4 or 5 days. So I snack on chopped almonds, chick peas, and pears mixed up.

    First I like some granola with a handful of craisins.
    Second I like a toasted whole grain honey wheat sandwhich thin (100 cals) with light creamy peanut butter.

    My fave go to snacks atmare gala apples and chobani yogurt! The yogurt is packed with protein and very smoothbut not overly sweet. And I love the sweet crunch of these apples.

    I couldn’t help but comment…I’ve watched your blog for some time, and this scale is amazing! Every morning -since I was 15 or so- I have eaten organic bran cereal and plain yogurt. It keeps me full and is my favorite meal of the day! And, it gives me energy for my morning workouts…oh, and water, water, water..with lemon..mmmm :). Oh, I’d LOVE this scale-how helpful!

    I love fruit for my snack. When I dont have fresh around I do try to have alot of frozen fruit in freezer for smoothies, so when I’m out of fresh I throw some frozen in a bowl and by the time snack time arrives its thawed and yummy! ;) I love putting grapenuts on them for extra crunch too.

    I LOVE sliced almonds with vanilla yogurt! When I had gestational diabetes and was put on a low-carb, low-sugar diet, that was one of the snacks and it was tasty and filling, while following my strict guidelines. :-)

    Awesome giveaway-I’ve been wanting one of these scales! My favorite healthy snack are these healthy banana muffins I make-I add in different kinds of fruit each time I make them. I use ground oats in place of white flour and no sugar. Yum! Thanks for the fun giveaway!

      My family does this too! But, we also add blueberries and blackberries.

      It’s amazing how much better the Splenda tastes than regular sugar, in my opinion!

    I am a banana addict. It is always in my house. I love that add them to whatever I am eating or after or to hold me over until my next meal. I giggled because I have wanted to throw my scale out the window because the same has happened to me with wacky numbers so now I have been using my kids Wii in order to check my weight Ha. I am doing WW and have lost 25 pds so far so a scale would be wonderful so I can leave my kids Wii for playing!
