Here’s where I stayed for one quick night in Portland recently, Hotel Lucia.
I loved the warm, cozy colors and feel of this room. I kind of love the browns, blacks, and whites in the room with the sunny yellow.
I think this is the first hotel I’ve ever stayed where there weren’t blackout shades! Just regular plantation blinds, like I have at my house.
This room definitely had a homey feel to it.
Complete with real books on the shelf in the reading corner. Another first in a hotel room for me.
Loved the neat and tidy towel rack in the bathroom.
And this gorgeous stainless steel sink.
This was my view just before turning in for the night. The room just seemed to glow and I had to grab my camera and snap a photo.
Have a great Monday, everyone!
Woah! That’s a neat hotel room! My stay at a California hotel had two beds, a table, a bathroom, two sinks, a TV, and a fridge. The bathroom wasn’t that nice like the one in your pictures did. And my hotel room was so plain. No books and couches. I love the hotel room you stayed in!

This was the first hotel I stayed in when I moved to Portland. Absolutely fabulous.
What great photos of a lovely room! I especially liked the last pic of the window before you went to sleep!!
that is an awesome hotel room. Makes the hotel I work at look like a place the ghetto lol!
Thanks for sharing about your travels! I travel a lot and really appreciate pictures and insights to things you’ve liked. Knowing other peoples experiences definitely make for better trips. This place looks really nice. Hope you enjoyed it! :)
It’s a lovely room! It looks comfy.
Very nice accomadations. I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Portland and the surrounding area. Its a gorgeous place! Im looking forward to returning there.
I love seeing what the inside of this hotel is like. I work nearby, and always hear rave reviews of the place!
Spectacular room! Now I can bookmark Hotel Lucia if we’re ever in Portland. Thanks for sharing and happy Monday to you too. :)
What a nice hotel to stay in – love when there’s a bit of a reading corner. Always thought it’s a nice way to make us feel at home. Loved the last shot with the orange glow to the room! Enjoy!

When you’re in the area next, try Hotel deLuxe. It’s an awesome 50’s vibe swanky little boutique hotel with some amazing style sense.
What a beautiful hotel and I love the books…it makes it feel like home or a vacation rental!
I was wondering what was “different” about that room as I was looking at the photos.. and it is the blinds! They definitely make it feel more like a regular bedroom than a hotel room. Great place.
Thank you for sharing the pictures of Hotel Lucia, it looks like a great place to stay in a wonderful city to visit!
Have a great Monday, too, Amanda!:-)
That is such a HOMEY hotel. Love it when that happens. Rare, but a treat when it does, to feel right at home :)
Youre right its so cute a home away from home isn’t it?!
