You have the most beautiful photos up here, how do you do it? I know you have a great camera, but you have listed like three, which one do you use for the photos on your blog & editing program? Just beautiful, totally an inspiration to bloggers:-)

You could always paint over the gold with black. Pottery Barn actually has a light fixture very similar to yours, but it’s clear where yours is white. Maybe you could find a replacement clear globe. It’s here:

Check it out :)

Amanda, I just saw this pic & what you said about your light, that was just too funny. I have a light over my sink that my hubby put up, cause we were selling our home at the time. I didn’t want to leave my pretty stain glass light, so he put up this other one. I told him that it looked like a crystal boob staring down at me. When people came in to look at our home, they just loved my crystal boob & I hate it.
I gotta say though, yours is bigger than mine. LOL.
You are a beautiful decorator & I know you will find just the right light.
Ialways look in Loews & Home Depot, cause the lighting stores by me are way to expensive. Good luck Amanda. I will be watching to see what you find.

You need something that doesn’t feel bulky….even a multi-armed chand. with some colored glass to pick up your yellow, blue & greens.
I LOVE you yellow walls. Do you know what color/paint brand you used? They look so fresh!!

Not sure this is your decorating style, but this fixture is so unique! Very kitchen-y. http://www.potterybarn.com/products/exeter-pendant/?pkey=cpendants

This looks like it might suit your style better though:

Try just recessed lighting, that way if you decide to move your furniture you don’t have to worry about if its centered or not. There are alot of nice fixures for recessed lighting now.

Love the curtains, did you make them or buy them somewhere? If so, where did you buy them or get the meterial? I am in LOVE with the pattern and the style. As for the boob lamp, I suggest a small chandelier that is light and airy to match the feel of the room.
