A few weeks ago I was browsing through the comments section of this blog, as I often do- I love clicking on the blog links and taking a peek- reading your posts, sharing in your stories and getting to know you a little better! :) I came across something on New Year’s Resolutions that I’ve been thinking about ever since- and I wanted to share it here. This is from Sarah at The Strength of Faith:
I work with a girl who absolutely loves Mondays. LOVES them. She says they give her a fresh start. Mondays that start a new month are even better. We were both at work yesterday and were thinking about coming into work next week. Not only will we be coming in on a Monday, but it will be Monday, January 4, 2010. We will be starting a new WEEK, MONTH, YEAR and DECADE. I think this is the perfect opportunity to start fresh; to make one attainable resolution (read: ONE and ATTAINABLE) and to focus on how that one resolution can feed into the other parts of your life.
New year, new decade. A fresh start. I love that!
After posting about my weight loss story last November, I heard from many of you how you wanted to try it- after the holidays, of course! A fresh start in the new year. I have even heard from a couple of you how the first week went- someone lost 3 lbs! Success! :)
I love getting those emails- hearing your success stories, sharing tips, answering any questions I can, hopefully helping out a little! :) I noticed a lot of you had the same questions (and I was beginning to sound like a broken record! :)) – so I thought I’d share a few of those answers here, in case anyone else was wondering! :)
The Most Frequently Asked Question: What do you snack on during the day?
Grapes – they’re Kevin’s absolute favorite. I learned this trick from his mom and aunt- they keep a bowl of fresh grapes out on the counter almost all the time. Whenever you walk through the kitchen, you grab a couple of grapes. It helps keep you feeling full, you’re not looking for other (possibly unhealthier) stuff to snack on, and they’re just plain easy and fun to munch on. :)
Frozen blueberries – a 1/2 cup of these with just a little spoon of cool whip… YUM! A great late-night, low calorie sweet treat.
Clementines – my new obsession. They’re like tangerines, but smaller and sweeter. And super easy to peel- it practically just falls right off. And best of all- no seeds! You can just pop a slice in one after the other. And apparently they have amazing healing powers- I was getting a sore throat right after Christmas, and I was crushed- a sore throat for me is *always* the first sign of a cold. But I ate three clementines that night and the next morning the sore throat was completely gone- and I never came down with a cold. Coincidence? Who knows?? :)
Bananas/fruit – Filling. Low cal. My mid-morning snack of choice.
Granola bars/yogurt – I love granola bars and yogurt, but they’re just not all that filling for me. I eat one and 30 mins later I’m hungry again. lol. I eat these as an afternoon snack when I just need something light to tide me over until dinner.
Popcorn – I was never a huge popcorn person before, but now I love it. It’s definitely my favorite late night snack. My favorite is Orville Redenbacher’s Movie Theater Butter- let me tell you, it tastes *way* better than any popcorn I’ve ever gotten at the movie theatre! :) It’s so buttery you don’t need to add extra butter- and at only 70 calories in 2 cups of popcorn- it’s way, way better for you too! :) When I’m in the mood for something sweet, I reach for kettle corn- sweet and salty. :D Yum.
My Best Tip: Don’t skip breakfast!
I had to really work on Kevin about this one- he was never a huge breakfast person and had every excuse out there! :) “But I’m just not hungry in the mornings”, “I don’t have time to eat before work”, “But eating first thing in the morning just makes me feel hungrier during the day!” (Huh??) But studies show that, even if you eat the same number of calories, you burn more calories if you spread them out over the day, rather than eating them all in one or two meals. So now Kevin eats oatmeal in the morning before work and has a granola bar for a mid morning snack. Starting your day with whole grains and spreading your calories out over the whole day helps keep you feeling fuller longer and keeps your metabolism boosted. (Note: I am so not even close to being an expert in this area- I’m just repeating things I’ve heard that have been true in my experience! :))
A Little Help: from EatSmart
I had this food scale on my Christmas wish list- not just for calorie counting purposes- but also for baking and other recipes that measure ingredients by weight. Imagine my shock when a few weeks before Christmas, EatSmart contacted me and offered to send me the exact scale on my wishlist! :) I have used this little thing almost every day since getting it in the mail- it pretty much lives on my counter! Definitely my favorite thing about it is how small and lightweight it is- it hardly takes up any room. Which makes it perfect for leaving out on the counter, or storing easily in any cabinet, drawer, or small space if company’s coming over. ;)
The most useful feature is the scale’s tare (zero) function- you just put a bowl or plate on the scale, turn it on, and it eliminates or “zeros out” the weight of the plate- so you can load it up with whatever you’re weighing. Then if you want, you can zero it out again and add more! :) It’s great for snacks- that way I don’t have to dirty up a measuring cup or something- just the bowl I’m eating out of. The digital display is big and easy to read- even if there’s a large plate of food on the scale- and it’s definitely an upgrade from the old-fashioned analog scale I was using! :) I mostly weight things in ounces and lbs, but you can also weight in grams and kilograms- which will come in handy with a few baking recipes I have.
Kevin loves it because it weighs items up to 11 lbs- made shipping all our Christmas packages a snap! :)
Not only did EatSmart offer to send me one to try out- they sent one to give away! :) It comes in 5 different colors- and you get to pick! :)
We have a winner!!! :)

By the way, what was my New Year’s Resolution? For a fresh start, this new year, the new decade?
Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you- not because they are nice, but because you are.

hooray for fresh starts! and hooray for another fabulous give-away… YOU ROCK!!
No resolutions, just to continue with healthy eating and weight loss. I’m 33 pounds lighter by making better choices. Thanks.
Wow, what a great giveaway! I’m one of the girls who got in touch with you because I was soooo inspired! I printed your story and have been reading and re-reading it. Thank you. And you know what? Those clementines have been in a beautiful, footed glass bowl on my kitchen table since after Thanksgiving!! Such fun to eat and my boys bring me one or two a day for snacks. Much better than fruit snacks. I wish they would never go away!!
Thanks Amanda!
Winning this scale would be such a blessing to me! I started the “Amanda Diet” like a crazy person at Thanksgivingish when you made the original post. I derailed off the train hard around Christmas though – but I do owe you a debt of gratitude because I have managed to keep off 5 pounds so far — although the cauliflower soup and orange rolls from today might fix that for me. I have a good 20-25 pounds to go. I have too many resolutions to list – but my biggest one is to keep learning how to put my hubby and family first before anything else. My other big resolution is that I am ready, willng, and able to get back on the weight loss track asap and this scale would be an extra tool in the arsenal —- thanks for your snack tips in this post too!
I was SO inspired by your weightloss post that I started over the holidays! It was hard, but I lost 3 lbs. I’m hoping to continue working hard and losing weight. My husband and I LOVE to cook and I’m constantly measuring things out. I’d love this scale to help me in cooking and in weight loss!
Thanks for the snack tips…strawberries do it for me…just strawberries sliced with a tiny bit of sugar to make them juicier. This scale would be wonderful…I’m trying to get my husband to eat healthier and this would be great!
Thank you for giving us some of those little tips on snacking during the day and evening. I will be putting grapes out in a bowl on the counter tomorrow…and I love the frozen blueberries with a little cool whip idea…YUM..
Have a great day….
Great blog, Amanda. I’ve got several blogs, none aimed toward weight loss, but I do have a facebook group that is. Check us out at http://www.fbook.me/wii or search the group “Wii Want to See Less of Us Without Using the Clone Tool”. Thanks!
I have struggled with weight loss all my life….and currently I am 6 months preggers with my 4th. When I have this babe I want to finally take care of myself. I would love to have that scale to help keep me in check!
Oooohh! I’m hoping to win this cute scale, it would definitely help on portion control :) *fingers crossed*
My resolution for the new year is to be more healthy. I had a serious medical condition that effected me greatly, lasted over a year with depression and pain. I lost a pile of weight, going from asize 14 to now I am in size 6 jeans. You might say great!
But, Amanda it’s starting to creep back! Very slowly, and sneaky like. And I am not too happy about it. I would love that little scale tobe more in control of portion size. Thanks somuch for giving it away! crossing my fingers!
Thanks for encouraging me to start new every day:) Weigh loss is so HARD for me! I love your story–I’ve been following (RSS feed) for some time….you look AMAZING:)
My NYR::: lose weight…keep it off…spend more time with my husband….read from the Bible daily! So far…I’m doing ok- but tomorrow is a new day:}
THANKS again, Amanda! YOU ROCK!
What great ideas- thanks for sharing! Love your Christmas tree light pics- just saw them tonight. Can’t wait to try that. I’d love a scale! How fun! Thanks for all your ideas!
Good luck everyone and thank you for your encouragement Amanda!
Great giveaway!
I have to say that I was so impressed with your weight loss! I too am trying to lose weight but have resorted to Medifast because I can’t seem to cut calories on my own. You made it seem so easy and realistic. Thank you! You are a great encouragement!
I just love reading your posts now…so fun. :)
About the weight stuff, it’s very true what you said (aren’t clementines just SO good!? :), and your weight loss journey is awesome. :)
Love & Blessings,
–Hannah
PS Thanks for linking to your AMAZING kit. :)
We love frozen grapes. I buy them, clean them, toss them in a freezer baggie and we pull them out during movie nights and munch away! Green or red.
Thanks for your input on snacks as they’re typically my downfall. Flavored granola w/ yogurt is one of my standby favorites, but reading your suggestions helps a lot. Grapes on the table is genius!
Thank you for sharing such great tips! I’m trying to lose about 15-20 pounds, and these tips will really help to get me there! Thanks again! :-)
So last year on July 26, 2009 I had my daughter. My first child at that..hehe. I have yet to have had any motivation to exercise :( I think one of the reasons is I am a breastfeeding mom and that takes up a lot of energy as it is. But its no excuse. I always told myself while I was pregnant that after I had my daughter I would start running my 2-3 miles a day (or every other day) again (like I did even up till I found out when I was pregnant). Its been a long ride and unfortunately it doesnt get any easier to exercise with the thought of my husband deploying for the second time; which will happen this year. I am very determined to get back to my fit self while he is away; not only to keep busy while he is deployed but to stay healthy and be a super mom for my daughter. So by the time my husband comes back next year I will be a fit wife and mother.
Grapes are probably my favorite fruit! Green ones are my favorite. I could probably snack on them all day & while I don’t really diet, I do try to watch what I eat, but sometimes it’s hard. I still would like to lose about 10 lbs (that I’ve been trying to lose since I graduated college almost 5 years ago…lol.
Also you probably don’t remember me, but we had choir together (I think it was just one year) at AHS. I think I was in 9th grade…Ms. Nunnally’s class :) I can’t remember how I came upon your blog, but I really like reading it!
Awesome giveaway! I need a fresh start…maybe a new scale to weigh my foods would be the answer!
Oh I SO need this!
Amanda,
I only recently found your blog but I have been a huge fan for years ever since I saw your scrap room in a magazine and tore it out because some day when my girls are grown and gone from home I will have a scraproom of my own. You are very inspiring and I so happy to have found your blog. Thank you
What an awesome giveaway! One of my New Years resolutions is to eat healthier, for both me and my little baby (I am 13 weeks pregnant with my second).
What a great giveaway! I would love to win this scale. I actually just started the 1200 calories a day “diet”… thanks to reading your story! My first week I lost 4 pounds!
I am a new reader and love your blog. I’m an Auburn alum (War Eagle!), and actually just got a Canon Rebel T1i for Christmas so I am LOVING reading through all the photography tips. Your info helped me pick out my next lens. If you check out my blog, you’ll see my pics have a long way to go but I’m loving the camera already. Thanks so much! Keep up the good work!
What a great giveaway! I am just re-starting my weight loss journey, and have a brand new (not so pretty) blog. I lost 35 lbs in 2006, and got pregnant with my first daughter in 2007, and my second in 2008, so I’ve gained back 25 lbs, and still have more to go beyond that! My main goal is just staying active – I’ll know I’m healthier when I can go an entire day without feeling completely drained, and when I don’t have to “tuck” anything in! Thank you for the great read, and your snack tips are such great reminders! My two year old loves grapes, so do I. I just need to keep them out on the corner because unlike some fruits, they really do fill you up!
You really are inspiring, Amanda. Thanks for your blog and for sharing your story. I hope to have a weightloss story to share soon too!
I made a new years resolution to lose 30 pounds. I would love to enter the giveaway.
I love your posts–so very positive. What are those yummy looking nuts in the bowl on the scale? Would love to snack on those right now. I’m not trying to lose weight but my issue is needing to exercise to build some muscle and energy. I love the snack ideas, thanks for sharing. I’d love a great scale in my kitchen when cooking and baking. Happy New Year!
Love reading your blog…..and this was a great post…
Thanks for all your tips…..
I have been doing a few posts on my favorite blogs and would love to mention yours…Hope that is OK….
Love your blog, would also love this scale, i am just now getting into all sorts of bread baking!
Blessings
Lisa
Wow, are those candied walnuts? Yum.
I just started Dr. Oz magic drink today and diet, with a friend. We have been doing a lot of walking and have stuck to it.
Well lets just say winning a scale would be perfect for me. I had a set of twins and another baby in a short time period and I have really packed on the pounds. My sister in law used to be just as heavy as me and she joined Weight Watchers and lost 87 pound in 2 years. I am very jealous. I would love to feel attractive again and not feel like a I need nap in the middle of the day! Thanks for such and inspiring website.
That scale looks great and super helpful! Thanks for all the great info
I did a weight loss competition last January to April and got second place…32 lbs! It was fantastic. Way to go with your weight loss!
I would LOVE to win this give away…and then you’ll have to post some of those recipes!
Thanks for sharing the snack tips. Snacks are one of my weak spots. I am on a mission to shed weight–doc says if I loose some more weight I may be able to control the diabetes without medication. You are an inspiration!
Your snaking styles sounds similar to the changes I’m trying to make in my own eating habits. I would be thrilled to win one of these scales !! It looks amazing :)
Thanks
I had a friend tell me about your website, and I have been so enthralled with it ever since! I love your stories, your photography tips, your fonts, and your scrapbooking. I am amazed at your weight loss story – I too would love to receive this scale to help me on my road to weight loss! I do have quite a bit to lose, and it sure would help out! Thanks for your great tips on life!!
Frozen grapes are good too!!
I started a “plan” last monday.
Check it out
http://gracevader.blogspot.com/2010/01/mcfatty-monday-week-2.html
You look great!
I loved reading about your success story just before Christmas, and I would love to have the same results. That scale would come in really handy! :)
ohhhh! I want that! I want that! :)
I came on here to thank you and leave you a comment about how much you inspired me to start counting the calories going into my mouth…and here you have a giveaway asking for the same thing-lol. Cool!
I went back and read your post about weight loss like a bazillion times to build me up. Like you- I’m starting at a size 10/12 and am 5’6″. I did the online calculators and they said 1200 calories…WOW-what a difference-to really SEE now how much I overate. What my body didn’t NEED but my brain told me I did…
I had also gained 5 lbs over the holidays. I started counting calories on Jan 1. At the end of the week I was down 4.3 lbs. Holy cow! I have no idea how THAT happened! I know it won’t be that much week to week-but I’m very psyched to reach my goal of 135-140 by May 1. I only have 12 lbs more to go now so I’m hopeful that it’s attainable now!!
I’m so looking forward to feeling GOOD again. To keep up with the kids and be more active and have fun shopping for myself again…Can’t wait! Thank you so much for showing that you don’t have to spend bookoo bucks on diet programs when all it takes is simple addition. :)
~Amanda
Thank you so much for the grape tip and the scale tip! I would really like to use 20 lbs., but it seems like such a large number to me. I have getting up in the mornings to walk with my girlfriend before work, but it’s not really working. I need to try your food tips!
Wow! My mom has one of those and I’ve borrowed it before. I’ve wanted one ever since.
What an inspiring post for today. I FINALLY took the plunge and worked out for the first time in many months this afternoon. It wasn’t as bad as I thought. I’m sure I won’t be saying that tomorrow:) I feel yucky and it’s time to make a change. My resolution to accompany my workouts (going realistic here) is to not eat after 7pm. That’s where I have to start for now. I can take it a step further once I get that one down.
thank you so much for you ideas…I even join spark people!! Wow I can’t believe how fast the calories add up.
Losing weight is one of my resolutions…seems like it is every year. I started WW in the fall, and have another 30 pounds or so to lose.
My main resolution this year is to put more focus on my family. I am going to have regular dates with my hubby and with my daughter. I think the one-on-one times are going to be important as she’s getting ready to become a teenager!
I would love to win this scale. I just love to follow your blog and I have been telling myself that I need to loose about 15-20 pounds for the last 6 months at least. I to have thought of trying those nutrisystem diets and I just can’t pay it. I know I need to count calories and I have wanted a kitchen scale for the longest time. It would be such a help! Thanks for all your tips!
Hi Amanda I love your blog! I told all of my co-workers about your weight loss plan and would love the scale to put our good intentions into action. Blessings :-)
Ohhh! I use an 8 oz max analog scale and would love this! I’ve been losing weight the same way for 5 months and have lost 32 lbs so far! I blog about it on Sundays :)
Congrats on your weight loss! Have you tried freezing the green grapes? It makes them even sweeter and takes longer to eat. I’d love to have a scale!
while my hubby is out I am really hoping to shape up and get into my pre-wedding body again! I love how you’re so positive and real with the advice! I’d love the scale! I have nothing to help me out with portions, so this would help TREMENDOUSLY! :)
What great ideas! I love the “fresh start” approach! I need that motivation every single day! I have a very tired scale that I use constantly! I would love a fresh start scale!
Thanks for your wonderful ideas–you are very motivating!
Awesome scale!! I love it… I’m a baker and have been looking for one with the zero feature for months! I so hope I win… Thanks Amanda for sharing so much with us!
What an awesome giveaway. My sister starting counting her calories right before you did your post in November. I showed her your post and she now uses some of the websites you mentioned. So far she has lost 21 pounds! I have a lot to lose, I really need to get motivated to do something about it.
I want to know how I can eat that bowl of yummy nuts LOL …. looks delicious! I’m down 2.2 today (my first weigh-in) – super excited!
I love the tip about the grapes, I am starting that tomorrow! Definitely could use the scale since I am focusing on eating better and that would help tremendously. I love your blog :0)
Ooh that scale would be soo nice!! I did weigh in today and lost One pound. I had lost 9 pounds before Christmas but took the month of December ‘off’ from tracking. Amazingly, I only gained a pound in that month, so now I’m back where I need to be!
What a fantastic giveaway! I have been a fan of your blog for a while now. I read your weight loss story and was inspired! I even wrote about it on my blog. Right now, I am suffering from two herniated discs that will require back surgery, but you better believe that once I’m back to normal, I will be employing your weight-loss strategy. This scale would be SO GREAT to help me along the way!
If you want to, go to the following URL to read what I wrote about your blog ;)
http://cassandrawebb.blogspot.com/2010/01/latest-goings-on.html
That’s a great resolution, being nice to people is always good. Mine is to eat healthier, specifically atleast one veggie with every dinner.
You are just the sweetest :) You could check out my food blog, but you’ll have to tweak some of the recipes to make them a little healthier ;) http://mollycrockercooking.blogspot.com/
Ok. I’ve seriously been wanting one of those bad boys for the longest time!!! Guess who is a gummy vitamin fan now! :D
I am so inspired by your hard work. Keep it up! I would love to win the scale to get me jump-started on my weight loss goals!
That is so great! I would absolutely love one of these in my kitchen!!! :)
I just started (again) today with the weight-loss journey. I’ve lost 30 pounds each of the past two years (and gained some back at the end of each year). I continue to make poor food choices, so I’m really working this year on portion control, choosing HEALTHY foods (which I know help my body feel better), and exercising because it makes me happier. Basically a little brainwashing about what is “good” (as in good for me being better than good-tasting).
I just reread your weight loss post the other day – for inspiration. It helps to see other people who have succeeded. You and Kevin both look great!
I have started my weight loss with first upping my water intake, and soon will be meal planning, and a different thing every week.
Thanks for these great snack suggestions! I go back to school next week and I’ll be moving into my sorority’s house. I will definitely have some of these snacks on hand, I’m sure my sisters will be appreciative of them as well! :)
Amanda~
I love reading your blog. Your post about how you lost weight was very inspiring for me and gave me that boost I needed to jump on my own weight loss story. I started a blog A Blog Step Away to chronicle my weight loss journey. I’ve only just begun and have already lost 4 lbs! That scale would definitely come in handy with a lot of the recipes I have been finding! My new years resolution isn’t to lose weight, although that would be nice. I just want to be healthier and have more energy for my son. Thanks for this great opportunity!
Thank you for sharing your journey. It has been an inspiration to me. I have Polycystic Ovarian Disease and thought that losing weight would not be possible. Reading about your journey encouraged me to contact the nutritionist at my endocrinologist’s office. She set up an eating plan for me that is very do-able. My last endo appt. was Oct. 27th and at my appointment last week I was down 30 pounds. Thank you for being such an inspiration. Happy NEW Year. Happy NEW decade. Looking forward to hearing how your life is blessed this year….
Hooray for you meeting your weight loss goal! That is awesome. I’m working on losing the last 17 pounds I’m still hanging onto after having a baby in July. Oh and I would totally choose the black chrome scale. Love it!
I read your first post about this and kept thinking I need to do it and I was just looking up your website to find the info and you had this post! I am excited to try it and now I need to re-read the first post!
Thanks for the awesome tips and giveaway!
I have a couple of new year’s resolutions… but a main one is to plan my weekly meals and cook healthy meals at home vs. fast food. I started last week and so far I’ve cooked every night except for Friday (we went to a hockey game). Yay me!!
You truly are an inspiration!
Great post! I love snacking on those things, as well. Have you ever tried frozen grapes? It’s probably still a little cold for them now, but they’re delicious in summer! I’ve even heard that you burn extra calories digesting them, because your body has to heat them up. Not sure if that’s true, but they sure are good! Your diet tips really work. I’ve been counting calories and keeping track of exercise on an app on my phone, and it’s been so great. I’m already seeing success! I hope I’m a winner!
I really enjoyed the story about Mondays. I’m a glass half empty girl trying to become the half glass full girl. Mondays as a fresh start would be great!
Love your blog and love the idea that this is a new decade and NEW beginings – start fresh!
I’d love that little beauty in red!
I was inspired by you and have been counting my calories this week!
Weight loss is such a toughy! I’ve been looking into getting a scale. This would be perfect!
What a cute little scale! I have NO extra counter space…so this would be perfect!
OK, you caught me! My resolution was to start eating better and to get my butt back in the gym. But, I haven’t started yet! I’m pretending it’s still December. I would love to win this scale and put it to good use getting my rear in gear!
How neat! My husband and I recently celebrated the birth of our first little one, and I am trying hard to shed those extra pregnancy pounds. What a neat giveaway!
I love it when I get on the computer after work and you’ve posted something!! I LOVE reading your blog!
That nifty scale sounds PERFECT for my kitchen! Thanks for doing this giveaway – you are AWESOME!!
Wow, thanks for offering such a great prize!
wow, a scale would be great….am trying to track calories and carbs, and well, blew it the last three days.
Tomorrow is a new start.
Thanks for the encouragement….
And I love the quote…somedays, working with the public, I need to remember that!
K
Hi, Amanda!
Oh my gosh, i would LOVE that scale! I kinda meant to ask for that for Christmas, but somehow I forgot! Or i thought of it a little late! I need one!
This is my weight loss blog, which you have visited before: http://www.melissavenableweightloss.blogspot.com
& here’s my post on New Year’s Resolutions! (on my regular blog)
http://melissavenable.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-resolve.html
by the way, have you ever put your grapes in the freezer?! I promise – SOOO good! A wonderful treat!
I’ve started eating a healthy soup and fresh fruit for lunch instead of a hearty sandwich and chips.
I’ve been using your fonts and LOVE them! :)
I would love the scale! I just think it would be perfect for baking!! Thank you for the opportunity!
Thanks for these reminders! The scale is awesome! Good luck with your “Fresh Start”!
Hi Amanda, Ive been using your weight loss method since after Christmas. I’ve lost 8lbs. I’ve also been going to the gym 4-5 times a day, its a killer but your my motivation and my trip to Hawaii in a few months, haha. But I want to thank you for your inspiring weight loss story, its helped me so much!
My husband and I started counting calories just after our wedding anniversary on the 4th. Well, we’re doing a combo of counting calories and “points” (via weight watchers). We’ve lost weight both ways before, and are anxious to get healthy again! Congrats to you and your hubby on your successes!
I could definitely use this! I started Weight Watchers before Christmas and can’t find my scale which is no where near as nice as this one.
Hey Amanda, Like always love reading the blog…I am trying to watch what I eat, cook better and more walks…You still look great…Can’t wait to see more your trips you guys take…
I could really use this scale to help with my weight loss attempt! Thanks for this wonderful opportunity!
Congratulations on your weight loss success! I am looking forward to trying your snack ideas and tricks this year to lose weight for my wedding!!
Ok first of all…I’ve been wanting one of those little bad boys for a while, but just haven’t gotten around to getting it. So…PICK ME!
Second, I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Eat Clean Diet by Tosca Reno…not really a “diet”. It has a bunch of really good info I’m sure you already know, but it has the most healthy, most fabulous, most delicious recipes EVER! Try it. I’m telling you, you’ll love it!
“Let there be peace on Earth, and let it begin with me.” That is my number one resolution this year. Probably a lot like yours. Congrats to you both on the weight loss, you look great!
I would love to win the scale. Although I didn’t make any formal New Year’s resolutions, I am slowly making changes in my lifestyle by making healthier food choices. (And then exercize is next–ugh!!)
My plan (goal) is to lose weight and get fit and truly CHANGE my habits, so they last me for the rest of my life. I have only great things to say about a three week whole body detox I did, which included juicing fresh veggies. I never felt better in my life, and the weight just fell off me.
How cool – I’ve been wanting one of those for a while now! It’s such a great thing to have in any kitchen.
