This is our new robot helper around the house, whom we’ve affectionately named Mr. MagNeato. He’s the Neato XV-21 Robot Vacuum cleaner, and he sucks up dirt and dust like a magnet! We added the Boston Terrier sticker ourselves, but personally I think they should come standard. Don’t you? ;)
1. Vacuum Lines.
Nothing brightens up a room like vacuum lines! I love the Neato because it doesn’t just bounce around the house haphazardly. It uses a laser to scan the room first and map the best, most efficient route before getting to work. The route changes every time it vacuums, so it’s sure to hit every nook and cranny. The Neato knows where it’s been and where it hasn’t, so it won’t miss a spot. As it vacuums, the sensor continues to scan, enabling the robot to navigate furniture, walls, stairs or Miley and Howie.
2. Powerful
The Neato XV-21 is specially designed for pet owners and allergy sufferers. I am amazed at how powerful the suction is! It doesn’t just push trash on the floor around. It picks it up! I was afraid it wouldn’t work as well as a regular vacuum cleaner, but I am amazed at how clean our carpets look. We did the old vacuum comparison test: We first vacuumed with our regular vacuum cleaner, then set the Neato to work while we put our feet up and relaxed. Look at what all the Neato picked up that our other vacuum left behind! This little compartment needs to be emptied after every use, but it’s so easy to just grab it and dump the dirt in the trash — so much easier than large, fumbly canisters or bags, and you know you’re starting with a clean slate before every single vacuum.
3. Schedule
You can schedule the Neato to vacuum for you whenever you want — when you’re at work, at the grocery store, or even while you sleep. Put your feet up and relax while Neato does the work! :) (He is just as loud as a regular vacuum cleaner though, so we don’t generally run him while we’re watching TV. :)) Last minute company coming over? Let Neato do the floors while you take care of the bathrooms. He works great on my tile floor as well! Neato can easily maneuver small obstacles such as rugs and door frames, so no need to “babysit” him. I have our Neato scheduled to run at night while we sleep, so we wake up to freshly vacuumed carpets in the morning.
My floors actually look like this all the time now, and all I have to do is press a button!
4. Value
The Neato XV-21 retails for $429.99. I kind of balked at the price at first, until I thought about it. There are several other extremely popular vacuum cleaners on the market right now that retail for upwards of $500-$600. And they don’t do the vacuuming for you! With the Neato, you don’t have to haul out a heavy machine. You don’t have to push it around every single room in your house. You don’t have to wind up the cord and put it away.

My kitchen gets cleaned first since that is our main dumping area. Then the bathroom and family room.
The absolute first thing I clean when company comes over is the downstairs bathroom – yuk! that leads to the hall floor which leads to the kitchen, etc etc etc!!!!!! This would be perfect for my two boston terrors because (as you know!) their pet hair is EVERYWHERE!!!! :)
It depends on how much notice I have before they arrive but, like many others, the bathroom gets a wipe down then, hopefully, the dust broom goes around the perimeter of every room to get the dog hair!

The first thing I clean is the family room and then the kitchen because everyone always seems to gather in those 2 areas.
I start with the bathroom. The vacuuming is the last thing I do. Our house is on the market so I try to leave it with undisturbed lines on the carpet. I vacuum several times a day. I’d love to have this little guy’s help!
First the main bathroom toilet ;) but I always vacuum too because that makes the house look clean (even when it’s really not)!

The kitchen/ dining area. It’s the first room you see in our house and it’s always a hot mess. Then it’s picking up baby doll accessories across the living room and making sure the bathroom doesn’t resemble a public restroom. Ha!

When company is coming each member of my family mans there “battle station”. My daughter gets the clutter into baskets for each family member and puts it on their rooms. My husband hits the grocery store to shop for food and drinks. Son number one dusts and vacuums. Son number 2 cleans the bathroom. I tackle the kitchen floor, counters and sink while waiting on food to come in. Then I prepare food while everyone else finishes cleaning and getting ready. This vacuum would really help since son 1 is headed to college and we will miss his vacuuming!
I have been wishing for a vacuum robot for YEARS! So excited! I always clean the bathroom first and pick up toys. But the floors are saved for last so they are as pristine as can be when people walk in. (I like seeing minimal footprints on freshly vacuumed floors, don’t you?)

I always start with the bathroom and then straighten and fluff all the cushions in the living room. I then grab the swiffer duster and do a quick swipe around the main living area. Lastly I pick up clutter on the kitchen counter. My husband (who is our house cleaner) is always complaining about the cat hair he gets up every time he vacuums and mops. This little vacuum would be a life saver for him.

I’m so excited to enter!! I need this!! My floors are definitely the first thing I clean when company is coming. I have two dogs that manage to track in dirt from outside, even after wiping off their paws. When the floors are freshly vacuumed, it gives the entire home an overall clean feel. :)

I start with the floors. If the floors are clean it makes the whole house sparkle! Company coming – grab the vacuum and get that layer of dust and of course dog hair that’s on the carpet and the wood and tile floors. Wow, this NEATO would make the job sooooo much easier. Swish the commodes, micro cloth the flat surfaces and voila – who knew a vintage-clean house could be that easy – and with a whole new and modern cleaning device! And with a stay-in-bed stew in the oven, ready to serve, your company will never want to leave!! Neat -o!!!!

We have an island in our kitchen and it has become our drop-off spot for everything! It really collects a LOT of stuff so it’s always the first thing to clean. After that it’s the rest of the kitchen and of course the living room.

The first thing I do when I have unexpected guests coming over is to do a quick pickup in the living room and dining room, since that is what people see when they first walk in. This usually means picking up all the baby toys, baby clothes, and other assorted baby paraphernalia that is usually scattered around when the baby is awake!
