Congratulations girls! I love all of your sweet smilies. I’ve sent ya’ll an email. Happy baking!
Oh guys, I’ve got such a fun giveaway to share with you today! Just look at all these fabulous pure vanilla products from Nielsen Massey. We’ve got three different kinds of vanilla extracts, vanilla bean paste, vanilla sugar, whole vanilla beans, exotic extracts to spice up your baking, and a cookbook filled with bakery and pastry recipes, along with new ideas for using vanilla as an essential ingredient in savory dishes. I got to go through the Neilsen Massey catalog of pure vanilla products and hand pick my favorites to share with you guys, and Nielsen Massey would like to offer this assortment to three (3) Kevin & Amanda readers today.
Nielsen Massey offers three different types of vanilla extracts processed from vanilla beans grown in three different regions across the globe. What a huge difference it made in my baking when I figured out which type of vanilla was best to use in which recipe! Here’s a quick description of the three vanillas, and how to best utilize them.
Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla. The most popular, classic, all-purpose vanilla that is perfect for a wide range of foods from baked goods to barbeque sauces.
Mexican Pure Vanilla. A creamy, spicy vanilla that’s perfect for recipes that contain chocolate, cinnamon or other warm spices. A perfect vanilla for the holidays!
Tahitian Pure Vanilla. This is my favorite of all the vanillas. The flavor is so pure and sweet, and I can definitely tell a difference when I use this vanilla. This vanilla is susceptible to heat, so it’s only for recipes that will not be cooked. It’s perfect for ice creams, fruits, sorbets, frostings, and vanilla butter.

Peanut butter sauce and tons of hot fudge! Like so much you can barely see the ice cream!! Lol
Butterscotch topping with a sprinkling of salty nuts.
Vanilla ice cream is my favorite & I have to say, I would eat it without any extra ingredients.. but I like your idea of making it into a milkshake. I have always, since childhood, stirred my ice cream in a bowl until it melted just a little. That is the best!!
First, I’d hope it was a big bowl of vanilla bean ice cream and then I’d load it up with fresh strawberries

I am a baker at heart and love to find fund things to bake each holiday season and through out the year. Vanilla is such a big part of this activity. But I have been using vanilla at a faster rate than in the past because I have discovered Vanilla Milk…and I drink a lot of milk for the calcium… I use about a capful per quart. Really livens up skim milk and soy milk. Hope I win!!! Happy Holidays to you Amanda and all your readers!!!!
I love vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce.
I absolutely love vanilla ice cream with peach cobbler. My other choice would be with caramel, mini chocolate chips, and cool whip.

Plain… unless it is fresh fruit season and then strawberries or peaches!!
I’d add some pineapple and pecans to my vanilla ice cream! Love love love this brand of vanilla. I use the kind from Madagascar. It’s all I ever use so I’d be delighted to get different flavors to try. I accidentally bumped my bottle over the other day and one-third of it spilled on the counter. I was “sick” about that, let me tell you!
I would definitely load it up with toppings… specifically candy, any sort of chocolate and lots of whipped cream!!
I would turn mine into a delectable root beer float! These looks amazing! Thanks.

crushed heath bar for me!

Amanda until I started reading your blog I never knew vanilla could be so very exciting! I was in Trader Joe’s last week and got Pure Bourbon vanilla. I used it to make Chocolate Chai Bread and what a unique flavor it offered. So… THANK YOU!
In terms of ice cream, I’m with your hubby…hot fudge and peanut butter cups. Mmm, I think I know what I’m having for dessert tonight. :-)
I’d put these wonderful little creme brulee almonds on it that I recently discovered. I am in love!!!
I would love to have some fresh peaches and toasted pecans on mine. Although I love just plain vanilla ice cream.
I would crush up some pretzels and add a bit of caramel. And then eat it very fast before my 2 year old son saw that I had ice cream.

I have to have some toasted slivered almonds in my vanilla ice cream…. hard to beat the sweetness of the vanilla and the crunch of the almonds together!
My VERY favorite: Vanilla Ice Cream, Strawberries & Hershey’s Syrup… AH!
I would pour hot fudge all over it and top it with about 10 cherries. And maybe add some caramel sauce. Yum!!
I’d give the bowl to my husband — not an ice cream fan. Give me something {BAKED} any day! :)
What else to do but make a Coke float! Thanks Amanda
