I’m going to quadruple what others are saying – a good set of knives beats all! Nothing worse than having super dull knives!

203
D. Dallas December 2, 2011 at 7:44 am

I rely on my knife set. Without good ones, it’s had to do anything. I hope I win!

204
Lane Shell December 2, 2011 at 7:44 am

My kitchen aid mixer…these gadgets look fun too!

205
Kathryn Williams December 2, 2011 at 7:44 am

206
Carol Remy December 2, 2011 at 7:44 am

I collect vintage kitchen utensils – - so I love most all gadgets. But, on a daily basis my most used untensils are my kitchen paring knife, spatula, measuring cups & spoons.

207
Kelcy Hanson December 2, 2011 at 7:45 am

I can’t live without my food processor at the moment!! I’ve been making a ton of baby food and I could never get it so fine without my food processor!!! :)

208
Jules December 2, 2011 at 7:45 am

I think I use my measuring spoons the most. I have 3 sets of spoons and I love them. I would love these new pieces for my kitchen. Thanks Amanda!

209
Corie Kaz December 2, 2011 at 7:45 am

I can’t live without my Pampered Chef Chopper and paring knife. I use both all the time. I just couldn’t pick one.

210
Carrie G. December 2, 2011 at 7:46 am

Awesome giveaway! :) I cannot live without my Santoku knife! I love it! It makes life so much easier in the kitchen and I have friends who get ‘knife envy’ when they use it and see how easily it cuts through pretty much anything! :)

211
Sara J. December 2, 2011 at 7:47 am

My favorite kitchetn tool or utensil is a knife…that will actually cut things! I don’t have any and so when I am at others houses and I get to use their fine knives that actually cut things…I am in heaven!

212
Michelle December 2, 2011 at 7:47 am

I love my tupperware food chopper and can’t imagine chopping without it!

213
Kelly December 2, 2011 at 7:48 am

215
Jeanna December 2, 2011 at 7:50 am

I love my antique spoon that my mother-in-law gave me. I didn’t get it till I had it in person. The spoon part is metal and slotted. The tip is flat, but then curves up at the edges. Those edges are perfect fit for the corner of your pots. It is the most useful when stir frying! It scrapes the pan without butchering your food.

These new modern gadgets you are giving away look like they might could hold up to my old school spoon! haha!

216
Sasha December 2, 2011 at 7:53 am

Parchment paper! Helps make the best cookies and keeps them from sticking.

217
Amanda December 2, 2011 at 7:54 am

I can’t live without my Furi Santoku knife! That and my Le Creuset dutch oven. They are pricy (it was a gift!) but it will last my whole life.

218
Jan R December 2, 2011 at 7:54 am

Favorite would have to be my small hand held grater…use it for numerous things.

219
Angela December 2, 2011 at 7:56 am

220
Cindy December 2, 2011 at 7:56 am

Definitely the dough hook on my mixer. I don’t knead by hand anymore!

221
Jenny December 2, 2011 at 7:56 am

Nothing’s worse than dull knives! So a good set of knives!

222

226
Karen @ Goofy Can Cook December 2, 2011 at 7:58 am

That’s a tough one, I love and use all of my tools. A wire whisk. Without it no flour would be sifted for yummy cookies, no eggs whisked. It’s essential!

227
Dalia December 2, 2011 at 7:59 am

I don’t have a lot of gadgets either, but I need to have a grater for sure in the kitchen. I’m always grating something, but I wish I had a zester grater. Thank you for hosting this great giveaway!

228
Susan T December 2, 2011 at 7:59 am

My big chef’s knife; I used it to cut everything. It smashes garlic spectacularly.

229
Caitlin December 2, 2011 at 7:59 am

My KitchenAid mixer! I put it at the bottom of my Christmas list last year, not expecting to get one since they’re expensive so I was super surprised when I got one! Now I can’t imagine not having it – in addition to using it for mixing desserts and things it also makes making bread dough a snap and shredding chicken super easy!

Oh, and I totally need those gloves – I gouged my hand trying to cut an orange a few weeks ago and have a lovely scar to show for it now. I’m quite clumsy!

230
Kim December 2, 2011 at 8:00 am

I save so much time with my mini chopper. It really cuts down on prep time.

236
Andra December 2, 2011 at 8:02 am

239
Lee Ann Wright December 2, 2011 at 8:05 am

I would have to say my favorite kitchen tool is the grater. It saves you money to buy block cheese and grate it yourself and I am all about saving money!!

240
Joann Dietrich December 2, 2011 at 8:05 am

244

251
Jeannette P December 2, 2011 at 8:10 am

That’s a hard question. I like many kitchen tools but I’ll say my Pampered Chef ice cream scoop. I <3 ice cream & it makes it so easy to serve the whole family in a flash with the special liquid that warms from the heat in your hand to make scooping ice cream easy.

252
Mary Beth December 2, 2011 at 8:11 am

I have a one tablespoon measuring spoon that I swear makes the perfect size cookies and no other one comes close. It’s odd but it is so nice when I’m doing all my holiday baking! :)

257
Jess T. December 2, 2011 at 8:13 am

So being that we will be moving into our first home next Friday (so exciting!!) we barely have anything besides a bedroom set! But, at work, I have been getting some free cookware for buying supplies. So I would have to say my favorite kitchen item will have to be my Kitchenaid 4-quart hard-anodized pot. Especially since it’s winter soon, I can’t wait to make chicken soup!! mmm :)

258
Bobbie December 2, 2011 at 8:15 am

The veggie peeler is the one I cannot live without!

Love my Oster Hand Blender. Great for making smoothies or soups.

261
Betsy December 2, 2011 at 8:18 am

I use my kitchen shears for everything! I’m not sure how I survived without them. Cutting raw chicken is so much easier with shears then with a knife. I actually have like 4 different pairs that I use for different things.

262
Elaine Allen December 2, 2011 at 8:18 am

Hi Amanda,

What a great giveaway! I actually have 3 favorite kitchen tools that I can’t live without. My knives, my teflon spatula and my small teflon coated pan. I use them all the time. Thanks for the chance to win.

Elaine Allen

263

267
Carrie Monts December 2, 2011 at 8:19 am

268
Kayle (The Cooking Actress) December 2, 2011 at 8:19 am

It’s going to sound so silly but-I could not live without my rubber spatulas. They help me scrape things off sides, get the last bits of stuff out of bowls, and gently stir. They are so simple but necessary! I must say though, my life would be infinitely better with those Microplane tools!

269
hope December 2, 2011 at 8:19 am

i wouldn’t say it’s the most useful but I do enjoy using it – my banana slicer! http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/chefn-banana-slicer/

I love fresh parmesan cheese, so the grater/zester would be my favorite <3

273
Toni C December 2, 2011 at 8:21 am

My Kitchen Aid mixer, hands down. The versatility in being able to do everything from cookies and breads to making our own sausage is fantastic. Not to mention I think my daughters like to see how far they can push my patience by cranking it up, quickly, to see dry ingredients fly around the kitchen! :-)

274
Angie @ Bigbearswife December 2, 2011 at 8:22 am

I love my stand mixer! I couldn’t work without it!

275
Kasie December 2, 2011 at 8:22 am

I love my chef’s knife. Cutting an onion with a dull knife is brutal.

276
laurel December 2, 2011 at 8:22 am

i love my kitchen shears. i seriously use them all the time – i can’t imagine trying to cut bacon without them!! silicone spatulas are a close second, though.

277
Lauren December 2, 2011 at 8:23 am

Cheese! Cheese! Everything is better with oodles of cheese. Right now I’m pretty addicted to my breadmaker.

278
Demitria December 2, 2011 at 8:23 am

I couldn’t live without my measuring spoons! They are adjustable so I only need two (one is teaspoon and the other is tablespoon). Without those, I wouldn’t be able to bake yummy things!!

279
Mairin December 2, 2011 at 8:23 am

I have a carbon steel knife that was once my Grandfather’s and I LOVE IT. It stays super sharp, which is great because I tend to slip when I use a dull knife. It takes a little extra care but is worth it!

280
Hilarie December 2, 2011 at 8:24 am

I love my silicone spoons – for everything. They’re my fave! Thanks for the chance to win.

281
Makenzie Kaiser December 2, 2011 at 8:24 am

My most essential “tool” would be a cutting board. Is that a tool? :)

283
Leah December 2, 2011 at 8:24 am

I think my food processor is probably something I could never give up!

284
Kathy December 2, 2011 at 8:25 am

My old wooden spoon and my KitchenAid Mixer. LOVE that mixer!!! Made yeast rolls for Thanksgiving with the dough hook…so much easier!!!

285
Linda December 2, 2011 at 8:25 am

I love my chopper from Pampered Chef. I use it almost daily to dice at least one ingredient for whatever I am cooking that night. It saves me SO much time and I don’t know what I’d do without it!

286
Terri D December 2, 2011 at 8:27 am

I have many kitchen tools that I love but the microplane is heavily used and I don’t know how I ever did without one. I would love to have another one on standby for when my current one becomes dull.

287
Lisa December 2, 2011 at 8:28 am

I was just drooling over the herb mill in the Sur La Table catalog yesterday! Never seen that before. Was going to put it and the microplane on my wish list, but to win these items would be a wonderful early present!

288
Amanda December 2, 2011 at 8:28 am

The one kitchen tool I cannot be without is my peeler! Potato/carrot/cucumber/cheese/chocolate bar/apple/kiwi etc. peeler!! I am not sure I could cook with any of these without it :)

289
Jodi Krautkramer December 2, 2011 at 8:29 am

I love my kitchen-aid mixer!!

290
Denise Webster December 2, 2011 at 8:30 am

That’s hard to choose. Aside from good sharp knives (which I don’t have right now), I’d have to choose my kitchen shears next. I love them. But there are so many and these tools look AWESOME!

291
Lourdes Fay December 2, 2011 at 8:30 am

First I have to share with you that my BIL calls me “Miss Gadget” cause I love kitchen gadgets. LOL
I would like to have the Microplane Herb Mill. I don’t own anything like that in my collection yet. I really don’t have a favorite kitchen tool, it depends on what I am doing.

292
Nicole December 2, 2011 at 8:31 am

I couldn’t live without a good knife, but I love every gadget in my kitchen!

293
Jane Mykleby December 2, 2011 at 8:33 am

Well, the microplane is a pretty cool tool and handy but a paring knife is just a must.

294
Jennifer M December 2, 2011 at 8:33 am

I love my heat resistant spatula! Everyone should have one!

295
Helen December 2, 2011 at 8:33 am

By far, my cooking shears! I would be lost without them. I like Microplane Easy Prep Straight Peeler. I could definitely do some work with that :)

296
Marsha K December 2, 2011 at 8:33 am

My rubber spatulas! How else do you get a bowl or can cleaned out?!

297
Sandra December 2, 2011 at 8:35 am

I would love to have the Microplane Herb Mill – as I love to cook with fresh herbs all the time and I find it can get a tad messy if I chop them up on the cutting board. Although it smells fabulous after you do. :)
Kitchen tools I can’t live without? Sharp knives, cutting board, can opener and a wine opener and scissors. :P Lol. I couldn’t choose just one. I think these are all very important items to have in your kitchen so you don’t have a nervous breakdown while cooking! :)

298
Allison December 2, 2011 at 8:35 am

My kitchen aid mixer. I know I once managed without it, but I cannot remember how.

299
alyssa manno December 2, 2011 at 8:35 am

If you’re a mashed potato fan then a potato ricer is a MUST HAVE! You will never eat lumpy mashed potatoes again, love it!

I love my Kitchenaid Mixer! I couldn’t handle the holiday season without it!

301
Emilee December 2, 2011 at 8:36 am

My favorite kitchen tool is my Kitchen Aid Hand Mixer. This thing can make amazing things. Cookies…Mashed Potatoes…what more could you ask for!?! =]
