my paring knife!!! it is the ONLY knife i own, save for silverware-set knives, which are kind of just there and not actually effective. i use my paring knife for everything… chopping, dicing, carving meats, … everything! i could not function in my kitchen without it.

2
Emily December 2, 2011 at 2:07 am

The herb mill looks amazing! I have only one Microplane in my collection (the zester), but it has held up better than any other similar item I’ve owned.

Hmmm….second to having a “hot” husband, my favorite tool would be….an awesome set of knives that actually work. The knife set I have now isn’t all that great, but they do work and without them, I would be lost.

This is a fantastic giveaway and I thank you for the chance to win!!!!

Warm regards,
Candi in Colorado

I can”t live without my food processor . It makes everything easier! What I want is a deep fryer but that is a dream! I have wanted a micro plane for grating for a long time but just never get around to it! They are the perfect tool for any job! I see them on cooking shows all the time and am so jealous! Maybe this is my moment!

12

Averie @ Love Veggies and Yoga December 2, 2011 at 3:01 am

I just did a post about Baking Supplies (and the post before that was my new camera/computer backup and I linked up your video that you did on the bag…I am lovin’ the new bag. Traveling tomorrow so hopefully I love it in the airport!) but my fave kitchen tool is a really sharp knife. I use that 20+ times a day!

17
Shelly December 2, 2011 at 3:03 am

I can’t live without my wooden spoons!

18
Lucy Lane December 2, 2011 at 3:06 am

My vegetable peeler was my best friend for Thanksgiving!
I have two peelers, one is nice & sharp the other very dull.
I had hubby using the dull one and I used the sharp, clever huh?
Its not like he knew any better. LOL.

19
jean December 2, 2011 at 3:06 am

it’s gonna be my food processor as it does more than one job for me! such an awesome appliance :)

20
Kiran @ KiranTarun.com December 2, 2011 at 3:10 am

Amazing giveaway!

I think every kitchen should have a proper and sharp knives. Nothing is worse than dull kitchen tools ;)

21
Anne December 2, 2011 at 3:11 am

I would have to say my favorite kitchen tool is a Pizzelle Iron. It is a staple in my home. Normally Pizzelle’s are made on or around holidays and special occasions like Christmas or for weddings but on rare occasion I get a request to make a batch. The other nice thing about them is you can use it to make waffle cones for ice cream if you have the rolling cone for it.

22
Larissa pavei December 2, 2011 at 3:16 am

I am all about a peeler. It same saves soo much time in the kitchen!

23
Erica Schumacher December 2, 2011 at 3:18 am

My go-to kitchen tools are first and foremost good sharp knives, then a good peeler, microplane graters and my food processor in that order. Pliable spatulas are a must as well.

24
jeff norman December 2, 2011 at 3:26 am

I have 2 i can’t live without… my peppermill and my garlic press. The flavor these bring mmmmmmm

25
Meagan December 2, 2011 at 3:43 am

This might sound silly but my favorite kitchen gadget is the little terra cotta disc that you soak in water then use to keep your brown sugar soft. I have lots of other kitchens items I like but this one I LOVE! I hated getting out my brown sugar and having it be hardened into a brick. I haven’t had the problem even once since getting the disc. It has made using my brown sugar a joy instead of a pain! I bake a lot more now that I have it!

26
Maureen December 2, 2011 at 3:46 am

Very hard decision, I guess first my Chef’s knife, then my cast iron fry pan.

27
Yuri December 2, 2011 at 3:47 am

I HAVE to have my wooden spoons. I’m obsessed with them and have a bunch. Is that strange? hahaha. I just love them. :)

28
Goat Girl December 2, 2011 at 3:54 am

A really good spatula. Thanks for the contest!

29
Jeni December 2, 2011 at 3:57 am

Hi Kevin and Amanda

I love my porcelain ginger grater. So good for making ginger juice, too, just grate then squeeze the grated ginger into a bottle and add to meals and drinks. Perfect for keeping warm in the cooler climes as ginger warms the body from the inside out.

Sumaiyyah December 2, 2011 at 4:03 am

I bake more than I cook, and my ultimate favourite tool that I (nearly) never go without is my Mum”s spatula. Good for scraping every little bit of dough, batter, frosting or anything else for that matter!

31
Sara December 2, 2011 at 4:09 am

Is a coffeemaker a tool? :)

32
jennyy December 2, 2011 at 5:31 am

Ha!

33
Heather =) December 2, 2011 at 4:14 am

My fav kitchen tool has to be my microwave! Working full time as a nurse and working on my Master’s at the same time does not leave a whole lot of time for cooking. My microwave is my savior!

34
Lynda Taylor December 2, 2011 at 4:28 am

All those tools look awesome.

My favourite and most useful is my chef’s knife. Buy a good quality one and it will last for years. Use it for everything from chopping pumpkin to fine herbs.

35
Londra Fleming December 2, 2011 at 4:30 am

Has to be my Kitchen Aid Mixer! I mix everything in that thing!

36
Mindy December 2, 2011 at 4:34 am

I cannot live without my huge butcher knife. I do everything with it. My mom is the complete opposite. She cannot stand a huge knife and would rather work with the smallest knife.

37
Julie December 2, 2011 at 4:49 am

I must have the cheese grater!!!!!

38
Karen December 2, 2011 at 4:50 am

I love my gadget that makes perfect dough balls. I have the one that makes small cookie size and the larger that makes perfect muffins.

43
Barb December 2, 2011 at 4:58 am

My ice cream scoop that warms the ice cream to make it come out of the container easier.
I’d love these tools. Thanks for the chance. Have a great weekend, everyone! TGIF!

44
Jolene Baer December 2, 2011 at 4:59 am

My favorite kitchen gaget is my vidalia chop wizard. I use it to chop veggies and all kinds of things. Wouldn’t be with out it.

45
Veronica Davidson December 2, 2011 at 5:03 am

I would love that grater. I’ve been using my cheese grater lol I’ve looked high and low for a coarse grater but haven’t found one. We don’t have a kitchen store around here. All of those gadgets look great! My favorite gadget right now is my measuring scoop that adjust. One scooper is all i need. I slide this adjuster to the proper measurement and thats it. Of course I still have the old stand by measuring spoon set but the scooper is so cool. I think I got it from the pampered chef.

46
Janine O December 2, 2011 at 5:04 am

My favorite gadget is my kitchen scissor from Cutco. Those things cut through anything — and are so easy to clean. I use them several times a day!

47

Tracy December 2, 2011 at 5:15 am

I can’t live without my metal measuring cups.

52
Julie C. December 2, 2011 at 5:16 am

I would love the Herb Mill! That would be so helpful in my kitchen, I use fresh cilantro and it’s messy to chop up by hand! I love my stick butter slicer, it makes using a tablespoon of butter so easy, everyone should have one!

53
Cherie December 2, 2011 at 5:17 am

*******I love my favotite spatula.*******
It flips for me, it scoops for me, it stirs for me, and best of all!!! you ready for this?????
It fits so perfectly comfortable in my hand.

54
Helen Ernst December 2, 2011 at 5:19 am

The timer, it is my best friend. I use when I cook, clean, sew, knit and quilt. The food does not burn, the house gets clean and when I have only a certain amount of fun time available it allows me to play. My home is connected to my business and when I do not use a timer I forget the food is cooking.

55
Tarayn December 2, 2011 at 5:24 am

Great giveaway! Thanks, Amanda! I’m in great need of some gadgets in my kitchen! I have found a love for cooking over the last few years and would love some tools to make life easier in the kitchen! Have a wonderful bday weekend in NYC!! Thank you again!

56

I love my pampered chef chopper… it’s my favorite kitchen gadget!

58
Kellie December 2, 2011 at 5:32 am

My MIL gave me a microplane grater a couple of years ago, and I just started using it earlier this year…I don’t know how I ever lived without it! I’ve asked for the herb mill grinder for Christmas, but now I have lots of other things on my wishlist!

59
amy December 2, 2011 at 5:33 am

Our set of really good knives… I didnt know I needed them before I got them as a wedding gift. Now if you took them away I would hold a memorial service.

60
Helen Boivin December 2, 2011 at 5:33 am

I love my mini silicone spatulas/scrapers/spoonulas.

61

63
Susan December 2, 2011 at 5:37 am

Kichen shears. I use them for everything.

64
Kayla Clark December 2, 2011 at 5:41 am

I love my garlic press. Couldn’t do garlic without it. And we love garlic!

65
Gretta December 2, 2011 at 5:46 am

I love my kitchen shears! I use them everyday!

66
Mareen December 2, 2011 at 5:46 am

I would say my Kitchen Aid, but that is only in my dreams as I don’t own one yet. So it has to be my handmixer.

67
Southern Gal December 2, 2011 at 5:47 am

I agree with everyone else that a great set of knives is a must…but I don’t have any!
My must-haves change all the time. This week it would be a waffle iron. Ours bit the dust and you don’t know what a tragedy that is in this house.

68
Val Lewis December 2, 2011 at 5:47 am

My favorite gadget would have to be my pastry cutter, or maybe my spider, or the egg slicer? Although not really what I would call a gadget, I have a favorite slotted spoon. I know, sounds crazy, doesn’t it?

69
Amy December 2, 2011 at 5:48 am

My Blender, it’s near 20 years old & is on it’s last limbs, but I can hid green beans in sauces or chilli my 5 year old doesn’t know he’s eating it.

70
Colleen December 2, 2011 at 5:50 am

I can’t believe I don’t own a microplane yet! I often find myself needing the Microplane Classic Series Premium Zester/Grater in the kitchen and I’d love to have it in my kitchen toolbox!

71
Jenn F December 2, 2011 at 5:51 am

My ice cream scoop. I reach for that every time I bake, or make pancakes (which is requested quite often by a certain 2-year old).
Thanks for the chance to win!

72
Kelly B. December 2, 2011 at 5:53 am

Sharp knives. I don’t own a microplane.

73
Nicole G December 2, 2011 at 5:57 am

I’m a simple cook – probably my big spoons & spatulas.

74
Karen December 2, 2011 at 5:58 am

I would have to say my large sharp knife. I cut, stir, use to hold food in the pan while draining water, grease, whatever. I’m sure I do a lot more with it. It’s just a part of me in the kitchen. The only time my knife takes a back seat to anything is corn on the cob season. Then it’s the butter spreader.

75
kim December 2, 2011 at 6:01 am

I am not very good in the kitchen so I have no suggestions for kitchen tools. That is why I need to WIN these!

76
Wini December 2, 2011 at 6:02 am

My favorite kitchen tool is my Kitchen Aide stand mixer! I use it at least six times a week!
Hugs, Wini

77
Kathy December 2, 2011 at 6:04 am

cookie scoop!

78
Julie G December 2, 2011 at 6:06 am

I love my kitchen shears – so much that I have two for when one is in the dishwasher!

79
Cassie Tucker December 2, 2011 at 6:07 am

I can’t live without my Adjust-A-Cup measuring cup. It’s skinny which means it takes up less space, it’s a multi-measure cup in one, and the best part of all? It makes measuring butter, peanut butter, and honey as easy as can be.

80
Teresa C. December 2, 2011 at 6:10 am

I guess I might have to say my whisk. You can use it for so many different things and even when the power goes out or you don’t have access to an electric or stand mixer, you can still use the whisk! :)

81
Krys Kolivras December 2, 2011 at 6:11 am

My favorite kitchen tool is my big bamboo spoon. I use it for so many tasks when cooking and baking, and it has remained much nicer & cleaner looking over the years than regular wooden spoons do.

82
Martha S. December 2, 2011 at 6:12 am

My favorite tool is probably my big Cutco knife. I really need to send that thing off to be sharpened!

83
Fernie December 2, 2011 at 6:13 am

My Kitchen Aid mixtmaster second my Cutco knifes

84

86

My fav. kitchen tool is my all purpose spreader from Pampered Chef. But I do make a lot of Peanut Butter sandwiches.

90
Jessica Burley December 2, 2011 at 6:20 am

Sad to say, the microwave. Though, I have vowed to soon buy real kitchen supplies and use them! :)

91
Billy December 2, 2011 at 6:21 am

My favorite kitches item is my new dehydrator.
Perfect for making backpacking meals!

92

Great giveaway! I have to say my favorite it my mini food chopper.

93
Tara December 2, 2011 at 6:24 am

I love my….um….I don’t know! Maybe my calphalon tongs? I don’t have many kitchen “gadgets” but those are pretty handy when I’m using non-stick pans.

94
sarah December 2, 2011 at 6:27 am

Hmmm…what’s my favorite…? Well, tell you honestly it”d be my littlt itty bitty food chopper from pampered chef. Pick me and i know i’ll have a new favorite! :D

98
Jeri Smith December 2, 2011 at 6:30 am

I could but don’t want to live with out my good knife!! I have several knives that were very costly…but my favorite is an off brand knife that handlcs so well and stays super sharp!! I love it!!

99
Kym J Ray December 2, 2011 at 6:30 am

I LOVE my Microplane grater!! Pasta, butter, and grated parmesean….heaven!!!

100
Katie December 2, 2011 at 6:32 am

My food processor. We’re as tight as peanut butter and jelly! :)

101
Angela House December 2, 2011 at 6:33 am

I love my microplane zester. Cook’s country rated it the best too! I would love to try all the other ones. I also like my OXO heat resistant silicone spatula. I got it from TJ Max and I use it every morning to make eggs. It has metal inside the silicone to keep it rigid. Another favorite tool is my mini spatula from Pampered Chef. It works great on warm cookies. I guess I like spatulas;)
