#1216 Andrea

Congratulations Andrea! I’ve sent you an email. Enjoy your Masterbuilt Fried Turkey Thanksgiving!

Just in time for Thanksgiving, I’ve got a fun giveaway today from Masterbuilt for everything you need for a Fried Turkey Thanksgiving! Frying a turkey in hot oil definitely calls for caution, but fortunately Masterbuilt developed the Butterball Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer to achieve a perfect fried turkey with peace of mind. I had the pleasure of sampling this turkey last May at BlogHer Food in Atlanta, and I still can’t stop thinking about it. It was so rich, incredibly moist, and packed with flavor. So delicious! I knew immediately that I wanted to share this giveaway with you guys!

Check out this Cajun Fried Turkey recipe from John McLemore’s “Dadgum That’s Good” cookbook to see how easy it is to quickly fry up a turkey for Thanksgiving. The winner will receive everything he or she needs to recreate this recipe!

UPDATE: I made this Cajun Fried Turkey for Thanksgiving and it was fantastic! The fryer and recipe were so easy to use and follow. And it cooks so quickly! I love knowing that I could easily whip up another one in less than an hour. This juicy, spicy turkey was definitely the star of our Thanksgiving table this year.

Oh man…a favorite? Sweet potatoes that taste like candy? Homemade orange-cranberry sauce? Sour cream apple pie? Is that a good start? :)

  2. heather vitry

My sister in law makes the best sweet potato casserole. It is like eating dessert with dinner instead of after dinner.

  3. Becky Dawson

My sister-in-law’s sweet potato casserole! I love it and never make it at home because I am the only one who will eat it.

  4. Dorothy

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is Sweet Potatoe Casserole.. the one with the marshmallows on top :) Thanks for this opportunity!

  5. Alecia

I did not grow up in the US, so turkey was so expensive. We would save up for it at Christmas. Turkey is my favorite. When the Thanksgiving Turkeys go on sale, I get 4 or 5 so I can have some other times in the year too!

  6. Cindy

I love the broccoli cassrole that one of my dear friends taught me to make over 10 years ago. I make it almost every year and have shared the recipes with several other friends along the way too.

  7. Elizabeth

Cranberry sauce, the kind from the can… my family always laughs at me… but I think I could eat the whole thing!

  8. Melissa

My favorite Thanksgiving dish has to be my sweet potato/marshmallow casserole. I use sweet potatoes, brown sugar, and marshmallow and a generous dollop of margarine and mix them together and bake it for about 20 minutes or just until the marshmallow browns slightly. Or you can use marshmallow cream. :) It’s my own creation. My family (esp. my grown sons) LOVE it.

Great giveaway BTW. Love your blog and wouldn’t miss it for the world. A shameless promotion I know :)

  9. Carrie

My favorite Thanksgiving side dish is southern style cornbread dressing! It’s the perfect compliment to turkey breast and cranberry sauce. My mouth is watering in anticipation!

  10. Alice S.

My ultimate favorite Turkey Day dish is my mom’s homemade cornbread dressing! OMGosh! I love it with all my being/soul. I’ve tried to make it like she does but mine never comes out as good, tasty and flavorful as hers. :)

  11. Karen

Stuffing, turkey and apple pie….all tie. I think the stuffing has a slight edge as it’s the only time we have it all year.

  12. Debbie

Hi Amanda! Happy almost Thanksgiving! Though it’s hard to pick a favorite, if there was just one thing I could eat at Thanksgiving it would have to be the stuffing! Thanks for offering another great giveaway! Blessings, Debbie

  13. Ashlee Frisbey

I look forward to Thanksgiving Dinner each year. It is hard to pick a favorite dish that I enjoy but If I had to pick one it is my yams with brown sugar topping. Yum!

  14. Allison R.

I love the dressing! It must be accompanied by cranberry sauce that I learned how to make myself a couple of years ago. Yum! So much better than that from a can.

  15. meranda

I don’t think I can pick just one. I love broccoli cheese, squash, and hash-brown casseroles. Plus the yummy spread of desserts!

  16. Lisa

Well it’s awfully hard to pick just one but it would have to be our family’s generations old recipe for pumpkin pie. It’s dark and spicy and has brandy in it, sooooooo good. Also awesome is our praline sweet potato casserole. I can’t wait until Thursday!!!!

  17. Debbie Pearson

Our families favorite Thanksgiving dish is our grandmother’s mac-n-cheese. She has gone to be with the Lord now so I am the only one in our family that can make it like hers! LOL! Thanks Grandma for passing the tradition on through me. :)

  18. Jackie

I can’t choose any one favourite dish. I love turkey, stuffing, cranberries, the vegetable dishes and of course, pumpkin!

  19. sara cavero

I have three favorites: the stuffing has always been my most favorite, o love it with extra liver. buttery baked squash, and pecan pie. Deeelish!

  20. becky M.

The rasberry jello layered salad. It was like having dessert early. The crust was made of crushed pretzels and it was fun to see people try to figure out what the crust was made out of . The top layer was a sugar and cream cheese blend so it definatly hit the sweet spot.

  21. Lorrie Helliar

I would have to say the best thing is…my carrot casserole. Its a favorite for anyone who tries it, layers of carrots in a sauce topped with grated cheese and panko/bread crumbs for a crunch…yummy!

  22. MaryEllen Briseno

Favorite Thanksgiving dish is STUFFING!!! Just the plain old bread stuffing with bread, onions, celery, butter, chicken broth, sage, eggs, salt and pepper. I make sure I make more so there are plenty of leftovers.

  23. JoeyfromSC

It’s very hard to narrow it down to just ONE lol, but my fave would have to be the green bean casserole! yummy!!!

Thanks for the chance to win!

    ajoebloe(at)gmail(dot)com

  24. Ashley Larsen

My favorite dish is my Aunt Debbie’s sweet potatoes. They are sliced in a glass dish with a slice of apple between them- topped with some caramel goodness of sorts. Not to sweet so you can still taste the earthiness of the sweet potatoes.

  25. Julie H.

Creamed corn is my favorite dish… it reminds me of my Granny. Thanks for the great giveaway!
    julien [@] alumni . clemson . edu

  26. Erin

Mashed potatoes and gravey. I’m a Nevada girl who’s moved down to southeast Texas where apparently mashed potatoes and gravey aren’t part of the Thanksgiving meal. Um, WHAT?!

  27. April

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is sauerkraut! I can’t get enough of it. I usually don’t like to mix my food..but sauerkraut seems to go perfectly with EVERYTHING on my plate.

  28. Cyndi Solis

My favorite Thanksgiving side dish is a wonderful green bean casserole with swiss cheese and a bit of nutmeg and a creamy sauce. It is wonderful!!!

  29. Jeanette @ Travel and Photography Today

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is bread stuffing with apples, walnuts, and raisins!

  30. Jennifer C

To pick just one is so hard!!! It would have to be the cornbread andouille crawfish stuffing I make to go with the fried turkey! Perfect combo!!!

  31. Tracy

My favorite part of any Thanksgiving meal is my mother’s Mashed Potato Rolls. These rolls are light and fluffy and make the BEST after-Thanksgiving sandwiches! I have endless memories making them with her, and now my son is making those same memories.

  32. Sara

There isn’t a part of the meal that I enjoy more than the stuffing! Especially that bit that was baked inside the turkey (my family makes two dishes, the first baked inside the turkey and the second made on the stove top). Yum!

  33. Emily M

Oh I have so many!! I always have mashed potatoes and green bean casserole on my plate. So those would be my favorites.

  34. Arlynn

My first time ever having a deep fried turkey for Thanksgiving was in 2009 in North Carolina. Since then, my favorite is the turkey…but only if it’s fried! My favorite before fried turkey is my dad’s Turkey A La King made from Thanksgiving leftovers. It was better than the (traditional) turkey itself!

  35. Adrianne Smith

Although I love all the traditional eats, my favorite is cornbread dressing. BUT my most favorite thing about Thanksgiving is spending time with the family and friends I do not get to see throughout the year. That is better than all the food in the world.

  36. beth stark

I prefer seconds and thirds of family and friends around the dining room table, giving thanks, laughing, and enjoying those moments that last longer than the food coma we will be in after eating all that turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie.

  37. Catherine

I love our family classic…cornbread dressing! It’s always been my favorite part of Thanksgiving and I think it should be made more often than just at Thanksgiving. :-)

  38. Style, She Wrote

I’m an Italian-American, dessert-loving lady so my favorite dish isn’t something found on your average American’s Thanksgiving table. My grandmother — a first generation American — used to make an OUTRAGEOUS Oreo New York-style cheesecake around the holidays, and my mother has continued this tradition every Thanksgiving (and Christmas, if I’m doubly lucky) since she passed away. Not only is it super delicious, but it makes me feel like my grandma is still with us and reminds me of my heritage. Happy Holidays! xo style, she wrote

  39. Steve Lafontaine

    My favorite dish is real mash potatoes with the rich homemade gravey. Build your dish around that and enjoy……:o}

  40. Brianna

My favorite dish is a secret family recipe that involves fake cheese and ridiculous amounts of butter, I could care less about the turkey and pumpkin pie!

  41. Ter'e Crow Lindsay

My favorite dish would be whatever my 2 daughters would serve me.
My husband and I are 800 miles away from our kids……………….
I would be happy if they served me tomato soup!!!!!
I miss them, terribly, on the holidays!
But —- if I am having to cook for myself —– it would be the Sweet Potato Souffle. Can’t make this for just 2 people.

  42. Tammi C

Without a doubt, my favorite dish is my Mother in Laws amazing cornbread dressing! I can’t hardly wait!! I love the whole dinner, but the dressing is the best!

    Tammi C

  43. Leslie

It is a tough decision because I absolutely LOVE Thanksgiving and everything about it but if I had to choose my favorite side dish is the stuffing!!!!

  44. Elizabeth

Well since we are talking about Thanksgiving, it has to be the whole ensemble. Turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes all come together like family.

  45. Kimberly M.

My 89 year old Memaw’s homemade macaroni and cheese…I still haven’t perfected it after all of these years! Mmmm

  46. Sally

Everyone in my family loves the cornbread dressing – whether it’s my mom’s recipe or my mother-in-law’s recipe. Dressing rules!!! Thanks for a great giveaway.

  47. SUE KUJAWA

My favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner is the Pumpkin pie with a big pile of whipped cream. It’s making my mouth water now just thinking about it.

  48. Danielle Higginbottom-Brown

my favourite dish is my moms homemade cream cheese.sour cream mashed potaotes!
    thanks for the chance
    daniellehigginbottom at hotmail dot com

  49. Molly

I love my mom’s 7-layer salad & scalloped corn…unfortunately we’re not having either this Thanksgiving, but planning on making the salad for Christmas! :)

  50. Susan Fennell

My favorite is sweet potato bake! I love the crust it is almost a dessert it is so yummy! Random selector…select me, I hope I win. I saw this advertised on TV and SO wanted it. Thanks Amanda for sharing this giveaway!

  51. Kate Krueger

I have to pick just one? ;) I would have to say that my favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be my mom’s cranberry sauce, but not because I like it! It’s a family tradition that no one likes it – and it is the one dish that never gets consumed!

  52. Twyla

This is super hard because who doesn’t LOVE EVERY dish at Thanksgiving!! OK, If I have to pick one it’s stuffing. I love stuffing.

  53. Sally G

Made from scratch cranberry relish, it has fresh cranberries, oranges, &almonds! Yummmmmy! The longer it sits, the better it gets! :)

  54. jan

The made from scratch mashed potatoes really do it for me! Made with real butter, half and half, salt, and cracked pepper, simple but so luxurious!

  55. Laura McNeal

Mine absolute favorite is sweet potato casserole. It is like dessert though, lots of butter, pecans and coconut (and of course sweet potato’s). It was my grandmas recipe and man is it delish!!!
    Laura McNeal

  56. Amanda C.

Picking a favorite Thanksgiving dish might be the hardest question…..I love it all! If I had to pick….probably Pumpkin Pie because this is the only time of year I get to enjoy it!

  57. robyn

I absolutely love the cranberry relish that my mom made – it’s wonderful straight out of the fridge, or on top of just about anything!

Thank you for a great giveaway!

  58. Niki

GRAVY!!!! Okay, I know gravy isn’t really a dish, but its my favorite thing on the table. I pour it on just about everything – turkey, potatoes, stuffing…. I drag my green beans through it. All are good on their own, but adding gravy to them makes them even better.

  59. dette

my grandmothers stuffing – I think she got from her mom, so that would be my great grandmother??? Anyhow, its the best stuffing I have ever had

  60. Andrea

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my cornbread dressing!! yum! Of course all the desserts as well. But this year I think I will enjoy all the Thanksgiving day dishes, spending the holiday with my in laws, so that means I don’t have to cook and I get to enjoy everything!

  61. Andi Missroon

My favorite Thanksgiving Day dish is Savannah Red Rice. This recipe comes from Mrs. Wilkes of Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House in Savannah, GA, another great southern chef. It’s got lots of chopped veggies so it doesn’t get prepared all that often, but definitely a family favorite for Turkey Day :)

  62. Tasha B

Can rolls count as a dish? My Mom makes the most perfect parker house potato rolls that I would rather eat over pie anyday!

    Happy Thanksgiving!

  63. Dorene

It’s impossible to chose just one, especially since I like to mix some of the items together. So I’ll say Turkey with mash potatoes and corn all mix together. Yummy!! Happy Thanksgiving Kevin, Amanda Miley and Howie.

  64. Laurie

Stuffing, Stuffing, Stuffing–but my own homemade stuffing with all the bread leftovers in the freezer. No Pepperidge Farm! 2nd is the infamous green bean casserole. Was ready to drop it from Thanksgiving dinner this year, but my niece said she would make it because she loves to snack on the French Fried Onions! A girl after my own heart!!

  65. Ana

My FaVoRiTe Thanksgiving dish is the fried turkey. The funny part about all of it is that I used to tolerate the turkey as a part of the requirements for Thanksgiving until my husband introduced me to the amazing, moist, flavorful fried turkey. It has become a staple in our house, and it has to make an appearance at one of the parents’ holidays.

  66. Cissy

My favorite is my mother-in-law’s cornbread dressing. She has Alzheimers now and never had a written recipe but I managed to get pretty darn close to it last year. I’m anxious to have another go at it! A very, very close second is pecan pie. Honestly, just give me the southern cornbread dressing and a pecan pie loaded with pecans and my Thanksgiving would be complete! Unfortunately, there are several other dishes I have to prepare to make everyone in this house happy. Happy Thanksgiving!

  67. Sally S.

My favorite thing at Thanksgiving is pickled peaches. As a child my grandmother would can pickled peaches and we would have them for a side dish at Thanksgiving. You can use the juice to spice up collards and anything else that needs a little zing of spices and sweetness. I’ve even figured out how to make them the day before and store them in the refrigerator. Of course everything else served at Thanksgiving is special too but the pickled peaches is what makes it Thanksgiving.

  68. Beth

MY favorite Thanksgiving dish is always the dressing. My father passed away 15 years ago and I have been striving to make HIS dressing. Sometimes with turkey chunked up inside or even chicken. But the PERFECT dressing, HIS dressing…..moist on the inside, uneven on top with just the right amount of crispness! Sage? Yes….not too much but enough to know it is there! Eggs to bind while it cooks but chopped eggs in the stuffing. Not cornbread. Not white bread. But a combo saved over the months before Thanksgiving and frozen waiting for the day. Cornbread, white bread, busicuts…..even some french bread and focatta bread mixed in. It is a labor of love to make it just right, sit down to eat and the memories of Thanksgiving past to flood all my senses. Want to ask me about my green beans now?

  69. netty

Cranberry sauce!! No one in my family likes it- but I love it and look forward to enjoying it all by myself this one time a year.

  70. Rachel

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is hands down the Stuffing drenched in gravy. My mother-in-law makes the best!!!!!!!! YUMMM!

  71. Nancy

That’s one handsome machine! My favorite dish is the Angel Pie that is my family’s traditional dessert! Thanks so much for this chance!

  72. Shelly Stevenson

I love my mom’s recipe for Holiday Yams. They are wonderful. Slices of cinnamony apples, chunks of yams and a delicious buttery cinnomon glaze. YUM!

  73. Nancy Smith

Its way too hard to just pick one thing! The whole meal is so amazing I look forward to it all year! But I absolutely love the Turkey! I roast turkeys throughout the year just to make sandwiches and other dishes! YUM!

  74. Clair Jordan

The turkey of course!!!! That fried turkey in that picture looks scrumptious!!!
I’ve always been scared to try frying a turkey, but that looks really safe and easy!

  75. anita

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is turkey, of course! ;) Pumpkin pie is a very close second though. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

  76. Jessica

You always have the best giveaways!! I spent my first Thanksgiving away from home 8 years ago with my then fiance, now hubby. My MIL was so sweet and asked me what I missed most from my family’s Thanksgiving table. My answer then and my answer to your question today are the same, 7 layer jell-o! It takes my mom all day to prepare the jell-o because it’s 7 different varieties, with one half of each variety mixed with sour cream. So it’s really 15 layers once the whipped cream is on top. That jell-o is a symbol of my mother’s love for us on a very special day.

  77. Althea

I love everything about our Thanksgiving meal, but my favorite dish is the Sausage Cornbread Stuffing!!! YUM YUM!!

  78. Judi Vrieling

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my grandfather (no longer with us) oyster stuffing – it is absolutely not a day to give thanks without it!! I also had a friend Art Pilot, who a number of years ago shared the deep fried turkey with a group of his co-workers (in Alaska) and haven’t even forgotten how absolutely wonderful and tasty it was!!!

  79. shara bachman

how do you pick a favorite dish? that’s like picking a favorite finger. hmmm… sweet potatoes. or stuffing. or mashed potatoes. no… sweet potatoes.

  80. Mandy

My favorite Thanksgiving dish to prepare is persimmon pudding made with Indiana persimmons. This can be tricky because I now live in South Carolina and have to have my aunt Cathy send me frozen pulp from her own supply. I use an old family recipe that I have had my entire life. It is SO good and you do not find it at most Thanksgiving dinners. I like how unique it is and love putting a mound of whipped cream on top. This dish makes me think of home which is important because I live 11-12 hours away from my entire family. Happy Thanksgiving!

  81. Patti

The dishes I love most are the ones my grandchildren help me make. Whether it be deviled eggs, squash soup, or the pie, I love how their faces light up when they see the finished product and how much everyone enjoys it!

  82. Tricia

My favorite dish would have to be my mother’s French Meat Stuffing. Mashed potatoes mixed with beef and pork, what more could I ask for?!? Tastes great left over on a turkey sandwich. :)

  83. Cheryl Ann

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would be my grandmothers homemade egg noodles with turkey gravy! Since she passed away, I was the only one left to make them. It has always been the first dish to disappear…. The absolute best!

  84. LaWanda

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is stuffin’, stuffin’, and more stuffin’! Did I say stuffin’? Here’s wishing you and yours a safe and happy turkey day!

  85. Amanda

Pretty much the only thing I eat at Thanksgiving dinner is pumpkin pie. And mashed potatoes, but lets be serious- it’s all about the dessert!!

  86. becky wuerfele

My favorite dish is a scalloped corn dish that I have made for years, that my Mom used to make and love. This is our first Thanksgiving without her this year, and I will so remember all the times she made this for our holiday meals.

  87. Michelle

This looks like an amazing gift to win! My favorite is the next day making little turkey sandwiches on the homemade rolls with cranberry sauce added.

  88. janae

I love stuffing… it is amazing how great it taste with a drizzle of gravy .. and of course some turkey and cranberry as well!

  89. AndriaK

My favorite is frozen fruit salad. (usually got forgotten in the freezer so it was served as a dessert instead of a side!)

  90. Jenni H.

Wow! Cool giveaway! I love all the Thanksgiving food… my fav is either mine or my twin brother’s mac n cheese though. We both make it every year on the holidays…. none of my family will tell us which one of us has the best. LOL :)

    Thank you & Happy Thanksgiving!!

  91. miriam

my cranberry relish … or would it be the pumpkin pie … the turkey??? I think I love every part of our traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

  92. Corie Kaz

The best dish on Thanksgiving is the stuffing. It is homemade, moist and the only thing I remember that my 95 yr old grandma ever made from scratch.

  93. Lisa @ Extraordinary Life

I just can’t pick one. I love turkey WITH gravy with the mashed potatoes with the stuffing.

  99. Theresa Janke

My absolutely favorite dish is my dad’s stuffing. It soooo good. All of our siblings fight for leftovers.

  100. Aidan

My father would love this! Growing up as an only child, my mom always loved oven roasting the turkey, until dad met the turkey frier! His is an older model, and ever since he took over making the turkey, I think it is time for an upgrade. This would make a great gift for good ole’ dad! My favorite dish, well the moist turkey of course!

  101. Teri Suzuki

My favorite dish would have to be the Tangy Honey Glazed Ham cooked in my slow cooker and my homemade pumpkin pie! Happy Thanksgiving!

  102. Geri C

My favorite dish is actually the dessert. I loves me some Pumkin Pie with lots ‘o whipped cream!!! Yummy! Awesome giveaway!

  103. Kay

Pumpkin pie, of course! And oh my gosh it would be sooooo amazing to win one of these instead of having to buy it for Thanksgiving!

  104. Destiny

My favorite dish at Thanksgiving is homemade cranberry sauce … with a side of turkey with a side of potatoes, with a side of squash. Oh shoot … I love it all!!!

But I could make a meal out of that wonderful cranberry sauce!

  105. Kristin Laponis

My favorite Thanksgiving ‘dish’ is my dinner plate: piled high with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and green beans, (yum!) surrounded by my scattered family, in a room full of laughter and stories. <3

  106. Larissa

It’s a toss up between my grandmas delicious pumpkin pie and that cranberry sauce that comes out of a can! Don’t tell my grandma though :)

  107. Liz

Sweet potatoes is my favorite with toasted marshmallows on top. Just this year i
discovered hey i can can them anytime i don’t have to wait for thanksgiving.

  108. Rhonda

Hands down would be my Ma-ma’s cornbread dressing….it’s a family tradition and I’m honored to be the one tasked to make since she’s no longer with us!!!

  109. Carolsue

I love turkey! I tasted a piece of fried turkey one year and it was SOOOO good. I’d love to be able to make it myself!

  111. Nancy

My favorite dish at Thanksgiving is the Turkey with cranberry sauce and the stuffing all mixed together. Soooo Good! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

  112. Kimm W.

I would have to say my favorite dish is the pumpkin pie. My mom always makes one pie with no side crust, because I don’t really like crust. She loves me. A close second is cranberry sauce that my grandma makes, it is so simple and delicious.

  113. Narita

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is turkey! You can cook it other times of the year but it never seems to taste as good as when it’s shared with family on Thanksgiving day!

  114. Jennifer

I love dressing and only my dad’s mashed potatoes. I don’t know how his are so much better but YUM – I can’t wait!

  115. Karmen

There are soooo many great turkey day dishes! But I look forward to the turkey with mashed potatoes, gravy and rhodes rolls!!! So good:)

  117. Holly

That’s a hard one, but I’m going to have to say the cornbread andouille sausage stuffing that my husband makes every year. It’s SO good!

  118. Katie

i live 3000 miles from my family so i don’t get to spend Thanksgiving with them – but it REALLY makes you miss what you had as a kid! I LOVE my mom’s stuffing! it is amazing – she makes it with sausage which i think really adds the best flavor!

  119. Dalinda

I LOVE everything about the Thanksgiving meal, but if I had to choose just one thing, I love the fresh, specially cooked green beans! YUM- 6 more days ’till I taste them again!

  120. Karen

Favorite Thanksgiving food would be oyster stuffing. Its been a family tradition since before my dads family came north to Michigan from Virginia in the 1860’s. Love it!!

  121. Beverly R.

I don’t know if I could pick a favorite – we fry turkey every year and I love it! I just make sure I stand way back, but this fryer could really make a difference in the safety of such a wonderful treat! But, I also love, love, love anything made with pumpkin, especially pie! But we have the standards also and always have a Fresh Apple Cake made from my husband’s grandmother’s handwritten recipe! Our family’s Thanksgiving would not be complete without the cake!!!

  122. Gretta

My sweet potato casserole ~ it is a recipe not like most others and it is always requested that I bring it at all holiday gatherings. Best of all, it’s something our entire family will eat too..even the 3 kids!

    bamagv at aol dot com

  123. Stephanie

I love the breaded cauliflower my family makes. It’s a tradition and every night before Thanksgiving all the women in the family would get together and drink…and bread enough cauliflower for a small country. It was a blast, and another special day we got to spend together. Although we may not get Thanksgivings together anymore, we still have our memories and we still make it ourselves every year to carry the tradition on. I cannot wait for it this Thanksgiving!

  124. *kristi*

Mashed potatoes and gravy topped with peas :) I cannot wait until next week’s Thanksgiving dinner!! Thanks for the opportunity!

  125. Stephanie

My dad loves to do fried turkey! This is such cool giveaway. My favorite dish is hands down my moms cheesecake. It’s all about the dessert!

  126. MomoJet

Oh my gosh….deep fried turkey is the best!
My favorite side dish for Thanksgiving is the Sweet Potatoe Bake my daughter makes! Sweet potatoes mashed with brown sugar and other ingredients, then topped with pecans, and topped again with marshmellos! Yum!

  127. Brandi S

Wow! I can’t believe such a simple question is so hard to answer LOL!! I really love turkey (when cooked properly ;)), but the buttery mashed potatoes are a close second! Thanks for the chance to win such an awesome prize!!!

  128. Jason

Turkey and southern style chicken and dressin’! My wife is from the north and left stuffin for this dressing!!!! This fryer is awesome, I love fried turkey, it would be nice to fry inside with the family this year!!!!

  129. Val Lewis

My fav Thanksgiving dish is the Dressing. My mom always made hers with chestnuts (yes, she cut an x in them and boiled and peeled them) and one year there was a shortage for some reason so she substituted slivered almonds. That’s how I make mine now. Love that little surprise crunch in my dressing!

  130. Bonnie

My hubby makes his family’s stuffing recipe with a very delicious turkey. I also love the Jiffy corn muffin casserole!

  131. Brittany

My absolute favorite Thanksgiving dish is baked mac’n’cheese. My dad used to make it with Vermont Cheddar and I have such a hard time finding it here in Texas. I love it. I can’t wait to stay up all night with some coffee tending to the turkey cause I know the next day I’ll be able to tear into some baked cheesy goodness.

  132. Courtney

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be green bean casserole. A very close second would be stuffing. I love Thanksgiving. My boyfriend and I are deep frying a turkey not only for his family Thanksgiving but for mine! I’m a little nervous but excited to possibly starting a tradition.

  133. JoAnna Grimsley

My fav dish would have to be cranberry sauce. I have several different recipes, but right out the can is good too! Thanks for the opportunity to win this wonderful turkey fryer!

  134. Ginger

I make the BEST mashed potatoes with heavy cream and butter and cream cheese and top them with my awesome, from homemade stock. gravy.

  135. kris

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my Grandma’s Cranberry salad. It is sooo good you actually grind the cranberries with an orange. Goes great with the turkey.

  136. Mary Anne

I love my corn pudding recipe! My sweet potato casserole is running a close second though. And then there’s my sister’s squash casserole….I could go on and on and on! But, we always fry a turkey every year…..we’ve never gone back to cooking one in the oven.

  137. Kirbie

My favorite dish is my moms sweet potatoes. They are different in that they dont have marshmallows. Simply butter and brown sugar baked to a golden perfection. Yum!

  138. Jan Marie Caruso

I am from south Louisana originally so Thanksgiving must have is Oyster Meat Pie and I have added a new family must have carrot souffle. Boy would I love to have that cooker!

  139. Gina Atkins

My favorite part is chicken dressing. I have no idea why I don’t make it any other time of the year, lol.

  140. Ryan

Turkey Dressing Serious Yum. I was born on that day way back when So I Love my Turkey Dinner. Happy Thanks Giving to you Amanda and Kevin. Thanks for the chance.

  141. Rosa

My favorite thanksgiving dish is macaroni and cheese but the whole meal is deliciously good and is not the same without everything that goes with it.

  142. Rosa

My favorite thanksgiving dish is macaroni and cheese but he whole meal is deliciously good and is not the same with everything that goes with it.

  143. Christina

Fried turkey is delicious!! I really look forward to all of the classic Thanksgiving dishes. Turkey, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, stuffing, pecan pie….I could go on…

  144. brenda

I have evolved over the years. As a kid I loved my mom’s Sour Cream Salad. It was a delish fruit salad, that sits overnight until all the flavors mesh into something wonderful.
Then it was (and sometimes still is) the homemade mashed potatoes.

Forever – it will be turkey. With the gravy and potatoes together.

    mmm.

  145. Katie

My favorite dish is my late grandmother’s recipe for cornbread dressing, complete with a turkey giblet gravy. What else do you do with those giblets?!?! ;)

  146. Pamela

My aunt used to make this frozen fruit salad with marshmallows and cherries. The best part was when she’d use the electric knife to cut it into perfect circle slices.

  147. April Southers

As silly as it sounds… my fave side dish is the cranberry sauce. Not the fancy kind-but the plain ole canned kind! Available all year at the store, but for some reason I only eat it at Thanksgiving! Although… homemade cornbread dressing is pretty good too!

  148. Julie Patton

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is definitely the stuffing. I love stuffing.. especially with mushrooms, sausage, celery and all the other goodies. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it when it’s in the bird and so moist and delicious.. Thank you and have a Happy Thanksgiving.

  149. Leah

I’m a mashed potatoes lover. I can’t get enough of them and the Thanksgiving kind are the best with all the extra creaminess that we don’t allow our selves outside of holidays. That and I love feasting on turkey leftovers for a week!!

  150. Mary Katharin

Turkey with dressing and gravy! But my kids will tell you it is “noo-noo’s and krinkies” which is macaroni and cheese with French-fried onions browned on top. They are weird that way!

  151. Ninna Berries

Turkey with sweet berries sauce! Oh my gosh!! It’s so yummy that I’m starving now :P
Thank you for this chance to win!!! Hugs.

  152. Melody McCann

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my mom’s sweet potato casserole…and her cornbread dressing, collard greens, potato salad, chicken & dumplings. EVERYTHING MY MOM COOKS IS MY FAVORITE!!!

  153. Denise

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my late Mom’s stuffing. An awesome mixture of chop meat, raisins, boiled chestnuts and more yummy ingredients I can’t remember. I’d better look it up quick to make it for Thursday!

  154. jahree

That’s a hard choice. I agree, the whole meals blends so well together to make Thanksgiving dinner. I think what I usually take seconds of is the jellied cranberry salad!

  155. Bev D'Angiolillo

My favorite Thanksgiving dish has always been the turkey itself with gravy of course. And I guess I’m one of the few that actually loves the leftover turkey for the next few days. So I would love to have this wonderful Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer. Thanks for the opportunity!

  156. Cathy B*****y

impossible to pick just one thing… love leftover turkey sandwiches with cranberry relish…(guess that’s my #1 fave) love sweet potato pie with toasted marshmallows, love homemade cran- relish sauce, like down home classic apple pie, roasted baby brussel sprouts… shall I go on?! I just gained 5 pounds writing about it! Thanks so much for an awesome giveaway. Have a blessed Thanksgiving with family and loved ones.

  157. Kim M.

My dish is sweet potato casserrole with a crunchy topping.
Thank you for the opportunity to win the Masterbuilt Electric Turkey Fryer.

  158. Julie R.

I love all the goodies on Thanksgiving Day, especially the stuffing and turkey with gravy (homemade by my mom, of course), but the yummiest dish are the sandwiches made with all that yummy leftover turkey!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

  159. Jeanette

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would probably be sausage stuffing, or maybe sweet potato casserole! It’s too hard to choose! YUM.

  160. marie

thanksgiving meal is one of my favorites. If I had to pick one dish was my favorite it would be my mother’s sweet potato pie. She is getting on in age and I must figure out how she cooks it. I have tried four times and failed each time. Maybe 2011 will be the year.

  161. Amy

nevermind the thanksgiving dishes… the best part about thanksgiving are all those turkey sandwiches i get to eat for 2 weeks straight!

  162. Montanna

I really love the brown rice and mushroom casserole that my aunt makes. It is sooo good, but I can never make it as good as her.

  163. Beth

Without a doubt, my absolute FAVORITE dish is dressing. I assume it’s a southern thing but we’ve never had stuffing. My dad makes the best dressing and he always makes a double batch so I can take it home with me after the holidays. Yummy!

  164. Kathy S

Hands down, it has to be green bean casserole. Growing up in an Italian American home, we NEVER had the traditional sides to our Thanksgiving turkey. Don’t get me wrong, they were amazing. My mom is a fabulous cook, but when I grew up and left home, I finally had the opportunity to try the old American standby with French’s Onions and it was AWESOME! Now in my home we make great Italian hybrid side dishes, but green bean casserole always has a place on my table! P.S. Love your blog! Great photography tips! :)

  165. Kimberli

Wow, what a great giveaway -I think I’m the only person left who has never tried fried turkey, so I’d love to win this – thanks for the chance!!

My favorite dish is definitely my mom’s stuffing but I’m a big fan of every part of the meal – mashed potatoes, turkey, fresh rolls, green bean casserole, corn casserole – all of it!! :)

  166. Donna

It would be a toss between the Sweet Potato Souffle and the turkey. I have always wanted to try a deep fried turkey but I have heard such scary stories. This looks like a great way to do it. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

  167. Lisa G

My favorite dish for Thanksgiving has got to be the turkey, followed closely by the homemade buttery yeast rolls! YUM!

  168. courtney

its actually yorkshire pudding, it’s an English dish and we only have it on holidays, my mom has always been the best at making it, and you always need to make sure to add gravy!

  169. Karen Gaffney

The stuffing is the best, followed by the turkey. But my sister makes real good/great mashed potatoes……gosh to I really have to pick.

  170. Donna G

If my mom’s involved in the cooking, then her gravy is the best thing ever. If not, then it’s anything pumpkin. Why do I feel that the holidays is the only time I can make pumpkin? I’m a grown woman, I can make pumpkin goodies any time I want!

  171. Stefanie Maddocks

My favorite Thanksgiving dish….Hmmmm, so many to choose from BUT, I think it is the Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake. Can’t wait!

  172. Rhonda Turner

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is: The dressing! Miss my grandma’s but my aunts and mother make a really good dressing, using her recipe of course!

  173. Allie E.

My favorite Nom Nom Nom of Thanksgiving is my Mom’s Giblet gravy. I build my plate and then douse everything in giblet-y goodness. Only get it once a year – gotta make it count!

    Much love!

    Allie
    Houston, Texas.

  174. Anna Adkins

I like Turkey, noodles, mashed potatoes, macaroni & cheese, dinner rolls…..I guess about the whole meal…

  175. Juliana Walters

Anything on the menu that includes cream cheese. Like: mashed potatoes with cream cheese, or pumpkin cheese cake made with cream cheese. YUM YUM, I can’t wait!

  176. MichelleO

Celery stuffed with onion-y cream cheese, potato salad and deviled eggs. As I type this I realize how un-Thanksgiving that sounds but they are my favorite dishes!

  177. Carol

Love sweet potato casserole with brown sugar and pecan topping. We have been making the same dish for over 20 years! Yummmm

  178. Michele

My favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal is picking off the turkey still stuck to the carcass. I love tearing apart the carcass and sucking on all of the bones, also. Yummy!

  179. Chelle Chapman

Oddly nuff, my fave is deep fried Turkey!!! My brother makes one every year & IF we are lucky enough to be back home (San Diego) for Thanksgiving, we get all the DFT we can eat!!!! My Bro has this process down to an art!!! My hubs wont get a deep fryer due to the fear of the unknown!!! I keep saying if we had one we might be able to get my Bro to come here, (NM) for the Holiday of Glutteny!!!! I am wishen me luck as I know it is a LOT to ask of you & the ‘others’!!!! Thank you & Masterbuilt for this opportunity!!!!! ChelleBee

  180. Becky Harvey

I love what my mom call’s “Becky’s Salad.” It’s a lemon jello, cream cheese, cool whip, manderine orange and pineapple concoction that is to die for!!!! I’m getting hungry!

  181. Carolyn Williams

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the mashed potatoes and gravy with homemade bread and chunks of turkey onthe side!!!

  182. Carrie G.

Hands down favorite dish is my mom’s sweet potato souffle with a crunchy cinnamon pecan topping. I literally could eat the entire dish and skip the rest!

  183. Edward

I have been needing a new frier! This is heaven sent! I hope that I win! I cannot tell you how awesome a fried turkey tastes compared to an oven roasted one. If you never tried it, you just have to! My favorite Thanksgiving dish is Mashed Potatoes with homemade turkey gravy and biscuits. That’s more than one, but I love all three!

  184. Fran

I might be weird but I think my fave is green bean casserole. I am usually snagging the leftovers of that first! Thanks for the chance.

  185. Mandi

It is really hard for me to narrow it down to one dish… It’s a toss up between the green bean casserole and the classic pumpkin pie. Yum! :-)

  186. Amanda E.

We *love* Thanksgiving “noodles”…which are essentially just egg noodles in turkey drippings/butter and go great with dressing!

  187. Anna R.

My favorite (as of last year) are pumpkin rolls! I’m planing to make one this weekend instead of a birthday cake for my sister-in-law. :)

  188. Michelle

I can’t believe you are asking us to name ONE favorite Thanksgiving dish. For me it is a toss up between hashbrown casserole or pumpkin pie ……. or dressing ha ha. Awesome giveaway!

  189. Kyra

My favorite thanksgiving dish is stuffing. I know I could make it during the year, but I just usually don’t. Besides, it tastes so much better in a sandwich with leftover turkey and mashed potatoes! :)

  190. Angi

Green bean casserole…or sweet potato casserole…or pumpkin pie, or maybe pecan pie…or the stuffing…or, dad-gum, I LOVE IT ALL!

  191. Heidi F

All of the desserts! Oh.. wait.. it’s the dressing.. and the Turkey… and the buttery mashed tatos with gravy.. YUM.. never mind.. I can’t decide.

  192. Kim

I haven’t had a fried turkey in years! I remember fighting over the skin. My favorite thanksgiving dish are all the carboload breads! Rolls, croissants, gorilla bread..yum!! Ok and maybe real chunky cranberry sauce.

  193. Terri A.

    Stuffing!!!
I saw this fryer on an informercial the other day and was so intrigued and I NEVER stop at infomercials.

  194. Kelly

My favorite is my mom’s cranberry salad. No wait, stuffing. Hmmm, maybe mashed sweet potatoes? I can’t decide!

  195. c carmical

Well, my fave dish is actually a beverage with huge chunks of sherbert floating in it. I am the oldest of 9 children, my mother raised us alone. Thanksgiving is a huge deal, and we all get together and my mother makes a feast, what I love and I know my 5 brothers and 3 sisters and 2 nephews and 4 neices will agree, is our mothers Thanksgiving punch. She only makes it at Thanksgiving, and it is divine. Its made with pineapples, pineapple juice, 7-up, cherries, someother things, and sherbert, and something she keeps a secret. I love love love it. Honestly, I have that and I am stuffed fow awhile. Then we eat, and its the best. No matter how much money she has, we still eat like kings.

  196. laurie

I love making that perfect bite of turkey + stuffing + potatoes + gravy + cranberry sauce = yum! If I had to pick one, it has to be that roasted turkey I make.

  197. Karoline Smith

My all-time favorite Thanksgiving side dish has to be the dressing/stuffing. For me, it is the reason to cook a turkey!!

  198. Stephine Gutierrez

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would absoluetly have to be stuffing!! As a child I thought I hated stuffing and refused to ever eat it. . .until my grandpa said Please, Please try my stuffing it has everything you like in it, he’s a great cook so I tried it and have been hooked ever since!!

  199. Kimberly L.C.

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my grandma’s famous (well, to me anyway) stuffing! It’s so moist and delicious… not at all mushy like a lot of stuffing I’ve tried!

  200. Kate

My Mom’s creamed corn casserole! I could skip every other thing on the table and just eat that darn thing right out of the pan!!

  201. Lara

I love green bean casserole! But I don’t think I could have Thanksgiving without my very old family stuffing recipe! It’s the best of any that I’ve tried!

  202. jessie whittle

My favorite thanksgiving dish is the sweet potato casserole. My mom makes it half with nuts and half without because she loves me. :)

  203. Trish

Definitely the green bean casserole!!!! But none of that canned goo… cream sauce from scratch, fresh green beans, sauteed mushrooms, and tons of garlic!! Drooling now :-)

  204. Andrea Corn

My favorite part of the dinner (we actually do it as lunch so we can eat “leftovers” for dinner!) is the mashed potatoes and gravy mmmmmmmmmmm!

  205. Bridgitte Seiber

My favorite thing to eat at our Thanksgiving meal is Mother Jetts Pink Salad. It’s the one recipe that too this day I cannot master! I’ve watched and watched her and my sister both make this and to this day I’ve not had that magic touch!
Just writing this is making my mouth water!!

  206. Laura

  209. Krista

Hands down my favorite dish is mashed potatoes!! And the turkey…and the homemade rolls. Okay, I just love the whole meal!

  210. Andrea Petersen

Oh man….I really love everything!! But when you get a really good cooked turkey (not all dry and gross) that can totally win :)

  211. Melissa

My favorite dish is candied yams. I hated them as a kid, but now…it wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without them! Deeelish!

  212. Janessa

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is absolutely the pumpkin pie! It is my favorite type of pie and the only time of year I eat it!

  213. Kassy Whetten

I would have to say the rolls! Crazy, I know. But I do not have the counter space to make rolls and so do not do it often. But for Thanksgiving, we bring out all the stops. :)

  214. Debra

I’ve never had the pleasure of trying fried turkey, but I hear it is delicious. Turkey, dressing, cranberry salad, and pumpkin pie are the only things I need on Thanksgiving.

  215. Carla

My favorite dish is everything! I just can’t have one thing without the other and the smells and tastes of each dish!!! Mmm MMm mmmm!! Happy Thanksgiving! :o)

  216. Jaime J.

It has to be the gravy. I love when the gravy mixes with the sweet potato casserole. I love the gravy when it’s mixed with the stuffing and cranberry sauce. The gravy brings them all together so happily!

  217. Laurie

My moms rolls. She is always assigned to bring the rolls because she makes the BEST rolls! They are even better the next day with left over turkey and cranberry sauce :)

  218. Maggie

My favorite is simple … garlic mashed potatoes … the whole process of making them from beginning to end. I really miss making those with my mom!

  219. Amanda Morgan

Coincidentally, my favorite is the fried turkey! My dad makes one every year and since I’m getting married in March, I think my fiance & I need a fryer to carry on the tradition!

I love my grandma’s mashed potoates and gravy! I don’t know who she makes it but it is PERFECT and lump free everytime!

  221. mary

Grandma’s dressing (stuffing) and mashed potatoes and gravy. YUM! Although I have to admit that the whole feast is something I absolutely love from beginning to end.

  222. Selena

By far my favorite thanksgiving dish is my moms famous sweet potato casserole! I love it so much and I make a lot of extra just so I can have it for days afterwards!

  223. Lori

Does the next day count? leftover turkey sandwich on soft white bread with pan fried sweet potates & turkey gravy!! Thanksgiving day it would have to be oven roasted butternut squash with brown sugar.

    All together!
    hgrossman at cableone dot net

  228. Sheri Tillie

My favorite dish would be…get ready…oyster dressing! I know it’s not the typical dish you’d find around most tables at Thanksgiving, but it is a long standing tradition in my family. The best part, besides the dish itself, is that as kids we all had a part in making it. My “job” was to grind the ingredients through a hand grinder clamped to a chair. Ah, the memories!

  229. YvonneC

My absolute favorite food on Thanksgiving is the turkey. I love, love, love turkey!!
My family would say my pumpkin dessert is their favorite. Just got a request from my SIL to make it for turkey day!

  230. kirsten w'ski

My grandma’s rolls…. they aren’t that exciting until you warm them up and slather them with butter, but once you do…. YUM!

  231. Narissa Toliver

Hands down….our Williams’ Family Dressing! No one does it like our family. It’s delicious. Yumm…can’t wait! Would absolutely love to fry a turkey for Thanksgiving.

  232. Jeanie

I’m the cook amongst my group of friends and so every year, I take on the responsibility of cooking a thanksgiving dinner for the 17 of us. Each year I try to try out new variations on the dishes but the one constant every year is my double layered candied yams. 2 layers of yams with a brown sugar and pecan struesel and then covered with marshmallows over every inch. I can’t have a fryer on my apartment balcony so I’d love to try a fried turkey out on my friends with this indoor fryer! :)

  233. LiSa

My FAVORITE Thanksgiving dish is either my Mom’s peas with white sauce or her cheesecake! Both recipes were given to her by an amazing French woman she lived with as an exchange student and they are wonderful!

  234. Melinda T

Oooh, I’d so love to win this! I love deep fried turkey, but I love green bean casserole even more! Thanks for the chance!

  236. Sara

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is definitely green bean casserole. It’s one of those dishes you only seem to eat once a year, so I really look forward to it.

  237. Mary

That’s a tough question. It depends on which house I’m at. My husband’s uncle makes the best rice dish (they all call it ‘Grandma Rice’, so I don’t know what it is), but my mom’s stuffing is fantastic. Of course, you can’t forget the desserts…

  238. Angie

I’ve got to go with gravy as my favorite. This is the one meal a year where I actually fix gravy and I love it on everything … the turkey, the dressing, the mashed potatoes….mmmmm. And pumpkin roll takes the number 2 spot for me ;)

  239. Heidi V

The whole meal is my favorite meal of the entire year. I guess my favorite would have to be the mashed potatoes but oh the turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, pumkin rolls….yum!

And Definitely my Mom’s dressing! It’s awesome!!

  243. Denise M

My favorite part of the meal is anything someone else makes besides me! LOL
Honestly my favorite part is the stuffing, But you can’t have that without the turkey….Have a gobblishious holiday everyone!!

  244. Anjanette Sanchez

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is not what I remember for the taste or quality, but it’s the memory of eating mashed potatoes (from a box….EEEK!) with a little pepper and lots of butter at Grandma’s house. For 29 years of my life we ate at my grandparents house every year. Until my Grandpa passed away and in an instant, it became a memory. Thanksgiving is not really about the food you eat, the dishes you eat on or the quality of the ingredients. It’s about who you share it with, who you love and being together. Combine those 3 ingredients and it doesn’t matter how good the food is, Thanksgiving dinner will always be complete.
Kevin and Amanda thanks for sharing your life with me here on your blog. I am inspired by you, I think you seem like a fun couple and when I get your blog feed in my inbox, it puts a smile in my day. Whether it’s seeing delicious stuff, your travels or your beloved pets. Happy Thanksgiving and many more!

  245. Nancy

Of course, the turkey is always the King of the table, but my fav? Simple, but oh sooooo good, Corn Casserole. Could not be easier: Shoepeg corn; heavy whipping cream (groan…); cake flour; butter; salt & pepper to taste. It’s an ‘unbutton the britches’ kind of comfort dish!

  246. Krystal

My favorite dish is my creamy garlic mashed potatoes, oh my goodness. I make a huge batch so that there are tons of leftovers… Not that they last long with my fiance around. lol.

  247. Carly

My favorite! The TURKEY! There is nothing better than some fried turkey and homemade cranberry sauce. YUM!
This is my 1st year making Thanksgiving dinner so this would really help!

  248. Amy Dawson

I love everything on the Thanksgiving menu!! How am I supposed to pick just one :) But if I haveeeeee to…. it would be the turkey itself! Mmmmmmm turkey, with a little piece of buttered/seasoned crispy skin, and a side fork of cranberry sauce… mmmmmmmm Must.Have.Now ♥

  249. Diane

I love EVERYTHING about Thanksgiving!! It’s my favorite holiday!! My favorite dish has to be the stuffing or the dressing whichever you happen to call it! :o)

  252. Becky

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be my mama’s homemade dressing with giblet gravy. It is to die for and believe it or not, my husband loves to eat it the next day with A-1 sauce! I love it anytime of year. Thanks for the great give away…I would love to win this for my daughter who is getting married in July!!

  253. Ka

My favorite dishes are my Aunt’s zucchini pie and fried artichoke hearts! I know that they’re not really “traditional” Thanksgiving sides, but I wait all year just for those two things. I even bring my own tupperwares to my Mom’s house to make sure that I get leftovers…

  254. Daphne Caldwell

My favorite dish would have to be cheesy scalloped potatoes, they are the BEST made from my mother-in-law :)

  255. becky

I love anything sweet soooo sweet potato casserole is my favorite…..now I’m salivating…..lol. I would love to win this for my hubby. I would save it and give it to him for Christmas since we are having a hard time financially since he lost his good job and is working a job making half his regular wages we are use to. But we are blessed we haven’t lost our house yet so we have lots to be thankful for. Hugs, Becky

  256. Cecilia

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Besides the usual Turkey, Dressing and Gravy…I have a FAVORITE Green Jello with pineapple, raisins, carrots, and celery. It is served on a bed of lettuce with a dollop of mayonnaise…I love it…but my kids think it is GROSS!!!

  257. Amanda

I love the cranberry. I make it homemade. Its easy and so good. I just wish I wasn’t the only one in my family that likes it. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

  258. Lauren

I looovvee pumpkin pie!! But because I’m the only one in my family who does I rarely get any on Thanksgiving :( I do love mashed potatoes, though, and they are guaranteed!

  259. Jessica Jager

My favorite dish is the dressing/stuffing. I make it different every year changing the ingredients and flavors…nothing beats it.

  260. Jana Pfeiffer

I’m getting so hungry thinking about Thanksgiving dinner right now. My favorite dish is my moms famous dressing recipe.

  261. Stacy Barfield

If I had to choose just one, it would have to be the dressing. And dressing goes great with FRIED turkey! :)

  262. Jennifer Ericksen

My favorite dish….well the turkey of course! But I can’t have the turkey without the mashed potatoes and gravy. And my favorite Thanksgiving dessert is upside down apple pie. Yum.

  263. Holly O.

What a GREAT giveaway!!! My favorite dish would have to be sweet potato casserole…. and the turkey, and the stuffing, and the green bean casserole! OMG, too many faves, ha ha! Thank you for the opportunity to win such a great prize!

  264. Allison Troyer

My favorite Thanksgiving food is most definitely cranberry sauce. Hahaha. The Ocean Spray, jellied kind. Oh my gosh, I can eat an entire can in one sitting! MMMM!

  265. Laurie Ann Phinney

This may sound so boring Amanda, but the Turkey itself is the star of the show for me. I LOVE Turkey – Add mashed potatoes and homemade gravy to the picture and I am in foodie heaven.

I was fortunate enough to have a taste of someone elses’s fried turkey a few years ago, and like you, have dreamed about it ever since. Thank You for the opportunity to win the Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer!
    Hugs From Laurie AKA Idgie

  266. Tracey

Favorite Thanksgiving dish? Well, for the meal part…turkey, the dark meat. For the dessert…that’s harder, but I’d have to say traditional pecan pie.

  267. Brandy Hardee

Oh How I love to eat Turkey and Homemade Dressing! My hubbys favorite is Cheesy Green Bean Casserole! Thanks for another Fantastic Giveaway!

  268. Andra

We can only pick one:) I will pick two, green bean casserole and my mom always makes stuffed celery, simple but one of my favs. Thanks for the chance.

  269. Wilma King

There is nothing that beats my mother-in-laws pecan pie! But cooked cream celery comes in to a close second place :)

  270. Lisa

My favorite dish is….deep fried Turkey!!! Really! My family fries 6-7 turkeys in order to feed the Sailors at the nearby Base that have to stand duty, and the Correctional Officers at the local state prison who are also on watch.

  271. L.S.

I recently discovered ginger glazed carrots, so I’ll have to say that’ll be one Thanksgiving dish I’m really looking forward to!

  272. Marla

My favorite Thanksgiving food is candied sweet potatoes or sweet potato casserole! I’m the only person in my house that likes sweet potatoes so I don’t get them very often!

  273. Jenny Johnson

This is such a hard question – it would definitely be one of the carbs on the table and if I had to pick my favorite, I would say my Mom’s homemade roles.

  274. carolyn

My favorite dish is actaully the leftovers…i am so pooped after all the cooking and cleaning that I don’t really get a chance to enjoy the full meal to later on!

  275. Lisa Lewey-Shields

I love the smell of all the foods cooking together and the preparing of all the foods and family getting together but my favorite is a tie… the sweet potatoes with butter and brown sugar baked until caramelized and the stuffing with all the flavor and juices from the turkey…. have you ever had fried stuffing? it is good too, kinda like a hush puppy

  276. Laura H

My favorite thanksgiving dish is hashbrown casserole…unless it’s our year to be with my side of the family and then it would be my mom’s cornbread dressing!!! It is to die for =)

  277. Melody

My favorite Thanksgiving food has to be the cornbread dressing – It’s that once a year food that is so good on Thanksgiving day but the morning after, at around 10:00, when all the left overs come back out of the packed fridge, it is just heavenly! I usually eat a few bites cold because I can’t wait on the microwave to get it hot.

  278. Lourdes Fay

I can’t remember where I found tis recipe, but it’s always been a bit hit. Fluffy Cranberry Salad

  279. Doris

How can I choose only one food?? Since I only make dressing a couple of times of year, I guess that would have to be one of my favorites.

  280. Lindsey

My favorite Thanksgiving dish and the yummy sweet potato casserole! I look forward to eating it every year! Can’t wait!

  281. Kristin Murdock

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be mashed potatoes. I think I would honestly be fine eating nothing but mashed potatoes all. day. long. I’d make myself sick, I am sure, but they are just so good!

  282. Mandy

There are so many dishes to choose from, but I think my favorite is my grandmother’s chicken and dressing!!!! Thank you for a chance to win!!!

  283. Connie Lynn

stuffing with breakfast sausge and my layer salad with lettus, bacon, purple onion, cauliflower and frosted with mayo, sugar & parmesean cheese.

  284. Kim Mills

My favorite Thanksgiving day food is turkey. Even though it is available every day of the year, it almost seems like the sacred bird, shared only during the Thanksgiving holiday. I love to smell the house when it is cooking. The smells bring back sweet childhood memories and cause me to remember relative that are no longer here. It is a sweet, sweet season and I am thankful for memories that this food brings back to my mind.

  285. Sharie T

I was at a house when they deep fried a turkey on the deck….it was scary to say the least…..but delish! :)
My fav has to be Sweet Potatos (or is it Yams?) with brown sugar and butter…YUM!!
    Happy Thanksgiving! Thanks for sharing….again.

  286. judy jursch

My all-time Thanksgiving favorite is a broccoli casserole that has been made in my family for generations. It’s creamy, cheesy and crunchy all at the same time! Even broccoli haters love this casserole! Second runner-up for favorite dish is turkey slathered in gravy…can’t beat that! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!

  287. Terry Lynn

My favourite part probably the stuffing. However, I do love the turkey with gravy too. Mmm, too hard to pick just one thing!

  288. Pam

I love turkey and a special casserole from a certain Southern magazine called Harvest Casserole with apples, sweet potatoes, cranberries, and crunchy brown sugar and oatmeal topping!

  289. Erin L

My favorite dish is sweet potato casserole. I love sweet potatoes. This year I found a recipe that has pecans on top that I’m gonna try. The best part about sweet potato casserole? No one in my house but me likes it so I get to eat all of it!

  290. Amy

Homemade cranberry sauce!…extra chunky and sugary! Living in WI…we have lots of cranberry bogs with bushels of cranberries available.

  291. Nicole

I must say that I love everything and every part of Thanksgiving; the food, family, and not to mention the traditions. But my favorite food that I can’t possibly shovel in my mouth fast enough is…….. MASHED POTATOES!!!! Mix in some sweet corn or accompanied by turkey is my absolute favorite! I just can’t get enough of their fluffiness, and their sweet salty buttery taste! That is my favorite food during Thanksgiving :)

  292. Susan

My favorite thanksgiving food is pumpkin bars topped with cream cheese frosting and pecans. Thanks for this great offer.

  293. Debra D.

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is a casserole of fresh green bean casserole with a creamy white cheddar cheese sauce. Yummy! I have never tasted fried turkey, so maybe that would become my favorite!

  294. Pamela

Hmm I have too many Thanksgiving favorites!! I love the ham, deviled eggs, baked macaroni & cheese, & pumpkin pie!

  295. Kim

To me it isn’t Thanksgiving with out yummy turkey, yams, potatoes, coconut pie and buttercream pie. All the other fixin’s I could do with out!! I love it when my step-dad fries the turkey in peanut oil but that hasn’t happend the past few years do to peanut allergies with the grandkids. Honestly, I have NEVER baked a turkey. If I had this, it would be my first…and I’m in my 30’s!

  296. Kayla

I love dressing! Or stuffing as some people call it. I also love sweet potato casserole. Can’t wait! Have a great Thanksgiving!

  297. melyssa

that is soooo tough… i love the combo of turkey, stuffing & gravy! but i really love everything about thanksgiving:)

  298. Clara B

My favorites dishes at Thanksgiving are two. My special homemade stuffing, (apples, celery, raisins, cornbread, onion, oysters and ground beef) and of course my super sweet potatoes with marshmallow…mmmmm delicious!!
Happy Thanksgiving for all and God Bless all!!!
Thanks for this opportunity to win.

  299. Jackie B

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be the turkey. The turkey is complimented with all the other great dishes like the stuffing, sweet potatoe casserole only to mention a few. I would love to have a Masterbuilt cookerthis would make things so much easier.

  300. Anne

My favorites are my husband’s rice dressing, my mom’s Spinach Madeline, and of course sweet potatoe casserole!!! YUM, YUM!!!

  301. Jennifer

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is this wonderful red and yellow bell pepper and golden raisens dish my sister makes!

  302. Mike Brandon

Everything is so good! If I have to choose one thing, it would be dressing. Not too much sage, not too dry, not too moist. With all the right ingredients – a meal unto itself. Turkey, of course, but the turkey sandwiches Thanksgiving night or into the next few days and of course, my mother’s recipe for Prune Cake with Sweet Whipped Cream piled on top.

Thanksgiving is a belt loosing, button popping day. Ummmmm, Good!

Great web site. It really grows on you. Good Stuff!!

  303. Kathy

That’s a tough decision!!! Have to go with the dressing!! My mom used to rolls into large balls and bake it…that way you got the crispy outside all around!!!

  304. Amy

My favorite dish has to be the stuffing. All that yummy bready goodness! Especially if it is Sausage stuffing, which is my family’s tradition. Delish! Thanks for another great giveaway. My husband has been wanting to try a fried Turkey and this would likely get his grandma (who mainly controls the T- day menu) to give in and let him try it.

  305. Meig

My favorite thanksgiving dish is canned jellied cranberry sauce. Yep. We make homemade stuffing/dressing from scratch, we make broccoli casserole from scratch, we make pretzel salad from scratch, yet my favorite thing comes in a can. HA!

  306. Alyce R.

My absolute FAVORITE dish is my grandmother’s dressing. The recipe has been passed on through several generations. For some reason, she is the only one that can make it “just right”. Topped with a couple of slices of cranberry sauce and I am in Heaven! Looking foward to next Thursday. Hoping you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving holiday! :)

  307. Helen

I love all of the food at Thanksgiving time but my favorite by far is my mother’s sweet potato casserole! I have never had anything better!!!

  308. Cassie Tucker

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is Sweet Potato Casserole/Candied Yams. My mother makes the candied yam dish while my mother-in-law makes the sweet potato casserole.

  309. Kelly Graham

To be honest all of it, but if I had to pick it would be a toss up between turkey and sweetpatato cassarole.

  310. Marilyn Dalton

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the stuffing because it represents the flavor of your family. It is definitely a dish that differs from family to family by the tradition handed down through generations. For me it is the ultimate timeless comfort food.
    A Blessed Thanksgiving to you.

  311. Jen

Oh wow – what a cool giveaway! Thanks! Hands down, my favorite dish is the turkey, but the mashed potatoes and green bean casserole come in a close second!! I’ve never tried fried turkey, so this would be really cool!

  312. ellie

it has to be green bean casserole! i never ate it until a few years ago cause I was convinced I’d hate it, and then I realized I was missing out greatly! Now I make it all the time!

  313. Donna H

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is our family’s cornbread dressing. Tradition has it that a “fresh” hen has to be boiled and the broth from that goes into the dressing as well as my mom’s delicious white (un-sweet) southern cornbread! It is baked in the same large pan every year. There is one recipe and one pan – regardless of how many people will be attending the meal -five or twenty-five – the same amout is made each year! All the cooks have a little taste before it goes into the oven and the famous recurring questions is “how does it taste?” Later, one aunt always proclaims “I believe it’s the best we’ve ever had!”

  314. Abby W

Hands down…my favorite Thanksgiving dish is simply mashed potatoes & gravy…it wouldn’t be thanksgiving without it!

  315. Linda

My favorite food at Thanksgiving would be the Cornbread Stuffing w/ cranberries & chestnuts. Paula Dean’s sweet pot. casserole recipe is awesome too.

  316. Jessica J

My favorite thanksgiving dish would have to be Yams/ sweet potatoes cooked almost any way and my great-great grandma’s dinner rolls. They take forever to make but they are soo worth it!!

  317. Isabella

My favorite dish is the one my friend made. I am sure about the name, but it has the corn bread mix and corn grains and of course a lot of cheese on it. Absolutely delicious.

  318. Denise O.

I love absolutely every dish on Thanksgiving. If I had to pinpoint one it would be the cornbread dressing. And I definitely could use this giveaway. Last year my dad fried a turkey and I stood by with a fire extinguisher because I was so worried. But the turkey was scrumptious.

  319. Julie Jett

By far it is Pumpkin Roll. it is filled with a creamcheese icing and covered in pecans with a dusting of powdered sugar!!

  320. Becky S

The turkey is my favorite I think. It’s not Thanksgiving without it! I’ve never fried a turkey though. Thanks!

  321. Jennifer Lassiter

I can’t pick one, so im gonna tell you about 2. I LOVE my mother in laws dressing, which i finally got the recipe to last year! and sweet potato cassarole, it has about an inch crust on top of brown sugar and pecans. OMG!!!

  322. Lisa Woodhart

    WOW! that is too cool.
My favorite dish is absolutely – without a doubt stuffing!
Thanks for the opportunity to win!
    Happy Thanksgiving

  323. Kristin

Awesome giveaway! My favorite Thanksgiving dish is a tie between apple and onion stuffin’ muffin’s or the bird itself. I love turkey!

  324. Teri Dingler

It would have to be the sweet potato souffle I make and second place the pecan pies! Yummo! Great give-a-way! Hubby would love this one!

  325. Crystal

My favorite dish would have to be the green bean casserole!! My all time favorite. I absolutley hated it growning up and now I love it!!!

  326. KellyRae

My favorite dish to eat is candied yams; my favorite dish to make is stuffing! My mom has the best recipe (no measurements for any of the ingredients, just the name of an ingredient listed on each line). A deep fried turkey would be soooo yummy with both. Thanks for the chance to win!

  327. maureen

I like the mashed potatoes and the stuffing which is a recipe from my grandmother. I also like the pumpkin crisp we have after dinner.

  328. jaime

I love it all!! The stuffing, potatoes & gravy, cranberries, ROLLS, sweet potatoes…and for sure a turkey! Wouldn’t feel like Thanksgiving without a yummy turkey!!

Thanks for the giveaway! I would so love this! I’ve been wanting to try frying a turkey forever!

  329. Jamie Harrison

I love mashed potatoes, gravy, and rolls. I rip apart my roll and dip it in the mashed potatoes and gravy. YUM! So good!

  330. Ken

My family has always made potatoe dumplings…they are still my favorite even though my wife hates them and hates to make them…but she does!

  331. Shelby

I like everything but I love turkey and since we only cook it around the holidays I would have to say its my favorite!

  332. Jennifer O

My favorite is my mom’s rice. She makes it only on Thanksgiving so it is a real treat. It has mushrooms, bacon, onion and it is delish. Can’t wait!!!

  333. Angela

I couldn’t narrowed it down to just one, so it would defiantly be a toss up between corn casserole and the sweet potatos!

  334. Stella paeglow

My brined turkey then cutting the breast into chunks instead of slices it doesn’t dry out and get cold too quickly.

  335. Phyllis

I have to tell you it is — Cajun Fried Turkey since I only have it once a year – it’s too much mess to clean up and we have to do it in the backyard. We have been doing it for approx. 5 years. We went from the gas fryer (very messy) to the electric fryer w/gas (very scary). We live in DC and have a small patio backyard. It takes all winter for the greasy pavement to clean up. Would love to win this fryer.

  336. Amy

My favorite dish is my Mom’s cheesy potato casserole – it’s topped with frosted flakes before it’s baked… gives it a hint of sweet & crunchy! SO good!

  337. sue

Oh choices…choices..I could make an entire meal out of stuffing and pumpkin pie. Can hardly wait until Thursday and then leftovers!!!!

  338. Stephanie

My favorite is definately the turkey…and then after Thanksgiving my dad makes the best turkey spread from it so I doubly love it!

  339. Leah B

I loved fried turkey – and to be able to do it inside … amazing. My favorite dishes at Thanksgiving right now is stuffing & green bean casserole. Yummy.

  340. Sandy_in_MD

My favorite is my aunt’s homemade mac & cheese with lots of extra bread crumb topping. Thanks for the chance to win this cool turkey fryer.

  341. Mona

My favorite dish @ Thanksgiving has got to be my mom’s cornbread dressing. It is the absolute BEST! Can’t wait for turkey day.

  342. Jade N

My fav thanksgiving dish is Praline Sweet Potato Casserole (or as my little 3yo cousin calls it – “orange candy”).

  343. Stacey W.

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is the dressing. I make my own and husband loves it! Oh! Let’s not forget the jellied cranberry sauce… that’s to die for!

  344. Meagen M

I have to say, my absolute favorite is my Grandmother Babb’s Sunday Potatoes. They are the first dish I think of (besides turkey) when I think of Thanksgiving :)

    -M.

  345. Candi Babcock

My favorite Thanksgiving dish WAS my grandmothers candied sweet potatoes. However, my mom and I have been unable to replicate the dish to be just like hers. Ours either come out too hard, too mushy, too much liquid, too little liquid…argh! I have come to love the Sweet Potato Souffle with the crunch corn flake/pecan topping. But it is still not the same as Granny’s candied sweet potatoes. Somehow, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to make them they way she did, not becuase I don’t have the recipe, but just because it was her hands that made them.

  346. Lauren Green

Ohhh how I would LOVE to win this! Especially since my husband and I’s anniversary is November 20! :D

Picking a favorite dish is so difficult, but if I had to I would pick the simple green bean casserole. so easy, yet so delicious!

  347. lisa

for me, it’s the dressing. herbed bread crumbs, celery-onions-peppers, and chicken broth. just like mom made, except i leave out the turkey giblets (ick)

  348. Anne Weber-Falk

I love stuffing! Especially when it’s done in the bird, but I’ll take it just about any way. My favorite is the old fashioned sage with celery and onion. For days after the holiday I can be caught going into the fridge snagging a bit out of the container. YUM!

  349. Misty Pursiful

It may sound wierd, but I love my grandma’s homemade yeast rolls! They are the best with some softened butter and even cinnamon better :) Thanks Grandma for being awesome!

  350. Tammie R.

I love the tradition of all the recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation. Nothing beats my great grandmother’s stuffing mixed with the new tradition of fried turkey. I also love the sweet potato casserole. YUMMY!

  351. Rachel M

It would have to be the desserts… specifically anything pecan or pumpkin, and if it’s pecan AND pumpkin that’s gold. :) Thanks for the contest!

  352. Danielle Breedlove

    Amanda,
You always have the most fun giveaways. Thank you for the chance at winning.
My most loved Thanksgiving dish is green bean casserole. I could devour an entire pan. Also love and miss my aunts mashed potatoes – she made them the BEST! Could of been the 2 sticks of butter she added for ever 5 potatoes. ;)

    Thank you!
    Danielle

  353. Jessica

My favorite dish is my dinner plate piled high with EVERYTHING on it. The beauty of the Thanksgiving feast is how well all of the individual dishes coordinate. Turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans… mmm. All in a big heap of cooperative deliciousness.

  354. Sabrina

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is sweet potato casserole — probably because I don’t make it any other time!

I’ve had fried turkey one other time, and it was amazingly delicious! My neighbor fried turkeys for several of my neighbors that year, but he got married and moved. I cooked a small ham in case the turkey did not turn out, but no one touched the ham — everyone ate the turkey, and I’ve never seen a turkey eaten so quickly!

  355. Elysia

I don’t have a favorite Thanksgiving Day dish. I have a favorite day-after Thanksgiving dish. It’s called a turkey sandwich. MMMMMMMmmmm can’t wait!

  356. JCho

I agree with others that every dish at Thanksgiving dinner is delicious. I am the only person who knows how to cook Thanksgiving dinner in my family, and have been cooking it for last several years. If I have to pick one, my favorite dish will be cranberry chutney I got the recipe from Good Housekeeping cook book. So good with turkey!! Thank you~

  357. jordan

candied yams/sweet potatoes! though i really love all the sides :) who knows, maybe this fryer will change my vote to the turkey!

  358. Carol Remy

Actually my favorite Thanksgiving dish is the day after Thanksgiving. My mom always made the best Turkey Salad for sandwiches with the left-over turkey.

  359. Jessica

My favorite is the Fried Turkey!!!!!!! YUM—- I cant help myself but to pick, pick, pick until Im completely miserable!! =)

  360. Ester

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is Cornbread Dressing w/Turkey. Thanksgiving would not be the same without this dish.

  361. Nicole

My favorite dish has been the stuffing, but last year’s sweet potato gratin was a very close second! I love Thanksgiving, but have never been a big fan of the turkey….until my uncle cooked one in a deep fryer. LOVE at first bite! I would love to taste that deliciousness again.

  362. Sara J.

I know I am pathetic…but I love the rolls! My mom makes killer rolls! But I also love the Turkey! Especially the white meat…with some delicious mashed potatoes and gravy…Oh great now I’m salavating! ;)
YUM YUM, but the best thing is being with family and just talking and creating memories! I CAN’T WAIT!

  363. Heather Mayberry

  364. Shannon

My favorite dish has to be mashed potatoes and gravy. What can I say….I’m an IDAHO girl! lol. Great giveaway!! Thanks!!

  365. Susan

The turkey stuffed with dressing! Awesome!! But if the turkey was fried, it would be Green Rice (Broccoli/Rice casserole)! Wow!

  366. Diana Jackson

My favorite dish is dressing. Since my mother passed away, the only dish I have found that’s even close to hers is Paula Deen’s. Thank goodness for Southern women who know how to cook!

  367. Carla Minton

Oh my…my fav Thanksgiving dish has got to be pumpkin bread pudding with caramel sauce…YUMMO!
    (thanks for this chance)

  368. Tana

I LOVE THANKSGIVING! I love the turkey…I’m a brown meat person. But I think my favorite is my sister’s homemade stuffing! YUM! But then you can’t rule out the pumpkin pie either!

  369. Denise

So many choices… but I’m gonna have to say… THE TURKEY!! We rarily have turkey any other time of year… so I gotta count the days to Thanksgiving to enjoy that delicious bird!!

  370. Candi1973 in Colorado

I loooove green bean casserole, but not just any green bean casserole! It has to be my Mom’s! :)

My favorite Thanksgiving dish actually comes the day after…leftover turkey sandwiches on country bread with mayo, salt and pepper. Be still my beating heart!!!

  372. Kelley

My favorite dish is a pineapple casserole my mom makes. It has pineapple chunks, cheddar cheese and is topped with crumbled Ritz crackers. Yum!! But there’s not much I don’t like on Thanksgiving! ;)

  373. Jaada Hales

It’s hard to choose just one dish that’s my favorite because I love them all! The roasted turkey and my grandmother’s dressing definitely top the list. My sister-in-law’s chocolate pecan pie is amazing and delicious as well.

  374. Leia

My favorite dish is my mother in laws cornbread dressing. I always ask her to make 2 pans so that I can eat on it for days, especially since she only cooks it once a year! I have tried to recreate it, but so far am having no luck.

  375. This Cookn' Mom

My favorite dish is the dressing. Homemade dressing is awesome. All the natural flavors infused together is just great. I can eat a whole plate of dressing. I even dream about the dressing sometimes!

  376. Diane

It’s hard to pick just one I think mashed potatoe’s and tons of gravy are at the top along with dressing and the pumpkin pie with fresh whipped cream!
    Great Holiday giveaway!

  377. Terri Carter

Favorite Thanksgiving dish…..hmmm…that’s a hard one. I think my new favorite is the sweet potato casserole my sis-in-makes. Yummy, crunchy pecan and brown sugar topping makes it almost a dessert! Next might be a cranberry jello salad that has a layer of sour cream in the middle. It is so good! Again, almost like a dessert. Can you tell I have a sweet tooth?

    Terri Carter

  378. Heather Spigner

I love dressing (especially dressing that has the biscuit mix in them!) and sweet potato casserole. They are my favorites!

  379. Nandini b

This is a tough question but I’d have to say that the year I learned how to make an amazing sweet potato dish was probably when I started looking forward to it year Thanksgiving day. My daughter gets so excited and I’ll have to admit that I had to give up a little on the healthy for the flavor. The meal just isn’t complete with out the sweet potatoes. :)

  380. Denise Webster

I’d have to say the turkey because my Grandma cooks it very uniquely and we have carried that tradition down. The other thing is Grandma’s homemade chicken noodle soup. She makes these tiny egg noodles and put them in a chicken broth. That’s all… It is soo good!

  381. Patti Hoffa

It has to be the wonderful homemade noodles my sis-in-law makes. So comforting and all about family goodness.

  382. Quandy Mathews

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my Cheese Potatoes and my grandmother in law’s homemade apple crisp…it is amazing.

  383. Katie D.

favorite dish has to be dressing! (not stuffing). Its heavy in a lovely dish mixed with bread, root veggies and plenty of butter with a little gravy onto! I’m salivating already =)

  384. Jane Mykleby

Fried turkey! Or sweet potato casserole (especially the crunchy nutty topping) or the green beans or…..Hope I win. Thanks for the contest.

  385. Kari Donahue

My favorite Thanksgiving dish has to be my Mom’s dressing…a perfect blend of the flavors of the holiday.

  386. Sonnet Bee

Thanksgiving food is the b-e-s-t. It’s one of the rare times I eat homemade (or any) gravy so I’m going to have to admit that shamefully, yes, GRAVY is my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal, outside of the wonderful company of friends and family.

  387. Michele

my fav one dish? Oh man, no no no. it’s all of it. Combined, the whoooole meal. Grandma’s turkey and gravy, the ham, the potatoes, oh those potatoes, corn, stuffing…..mmmmmm.

  388. Tiffany Sanders

Oh my, I don’t have a favorite because I need them all to make it complete! Candied Yams, Ham, corn pudding, greens, broccoli casserole, dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet rolls, sweet potatoe pie! Naming it all, I’m sooooo ready to throw down!

  389. Aimee M

My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the candied sweet potatoes! When I was young, I just ate the golden marshmallows on top. Now that I’ve ventured to the sweet potatoes, I’ve found they’re just as good as the marshmallows!

  390. emily

It is near impossible to pick 1 favorite Thanksgiving dish (my mom is a GREAT cook) but I do always look forward to her oyster dressing!

  391. Samantha

I get so nostalgic over Thanksgiving. I love walking into my parents little bungalo home and the windows fogged up and Mom checking the thermostat and wondering if it’s to hot. But the stuffing from the bird has to be my favorite. I know it’s not good to stuff the bird, but at my house it’s been done for 39 years that I’m aware of and it’s the best. I’ll be at my in-laws this year 150 miles from home but as soon as I smell all the fixin’s I’ll be reminded again of home. Happy Thanksgiving!

  392. Darla

I absolutely love ALL the dishes we serve at Thanksgiving, but my favorite would probably be the Cranberry Fluff Salad that I make!

  393. Penny Hall

My all time favorite dish at Thanksgiving is got to be the Sweet Potato casserole. I love eating it but really love how everyone piles it on their plates at my house. If you ask someone “Can I get you anything while I am up” it will aslways be in chorus “more sweet potato casserole please!”

  394. Kari H.

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is my mom’s homemade dressing. Although the turkey I made last year was pretty amazing too!

  395. Toni

Hands down it’s got to be the stuffing!!! I use to always put some on my daughters plate because I knew she didn’t like it and then I could always eat hers if I wanted seconds!! Now she’s caught on to a good thing and she now likes it.

  396. Tiffanee Noack

One favorite?? Close running between my mother in laws cornbread chicken dressing and my hubby’s mashed potatoes… But I love it all!!

  397. CHERIE MISTRETTA

My favorite is the dressing or stuffing whichever you call it :) !!! I would love to try a fried turkey thou.

  398. Tracie

I have so many favorite dishes, but I would have to say the mashed potato casserole with gravy. This fryer looks wonderful. I always hear so much about fried turkey, but never had the chance to taste fried turkey. This giveaway is awesome, thanks for the chance to win one.
    Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

  399. Carol Busse

My favorite dish by far is my mom’s recipe for stuffing. I make it every year and everyone seems to love it.

    :)

  400. Susan Yates

I have to say, the turkey is my favorite, with a side of cranberry sauce! I was just talking about a deep fried turkey. I would love to win this :)

  401. meredith rooney

This is a tough one- is it sweet potatoes or cranberry relish, The sweet potatoes must have marshmallow and pecan pieces and the cranberry relish must have walnut pieces! Thanksgiving isn’t the same without them.

  402. alyssa manno

My favorite thanksgiving dish is in memory of my aunt lorraine…she made thee best brussel sprouts with olive oil and maple syrup…thanks aunt lorraine i will think of you fondly this first thanksgiving without you xoxo

  403. Sheryl

I know it might sound gross or cliche, but my favorite Thanksgiving dish is green bean casserole. Nobody makes it any other time except for holidays! Thanks for a great giveaway!

  404. Analisa W.

My favorite dish at Thanksgiving is turkey with cranberry relish. Yum Yum! Thanks for another great giveaway!

  405. heather

My momma’s mashed potatoes! Hubster’s turkey. Sister’s green bean casserole. Oh how can I choose just one thing?

  406. Michele V

Well it’s hard to pick a favourite! Pumpkin pie and turkey dressing! My hubby makes the best!
Nice giveaway – thanks & Happy Thanksgiving Kevin & Amanda!

  407. Mandy Larson

My mom’s green bean casserole (and it HAS to be fresh green beans, I can taste it already). Close second goes to my MawMaw’s southern biscuits and gravy :)

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!

  408. Leigh Williams

Definitely dressing! I’m going to make my traditional recipe this year but bake it in muffin tins. Everyone gets their own crust!

  409. Rhonda Parker

Thanksgiving is surely a day to be thankful for and all the marvelous sights and tastes associated with it; however, sweet potato casserole hands down.

  410. Stephanie Meynard

My Mom’s macaroni and cheese is my absolute favorite dish for
thanksgiving! And I would LOVE to har this fryer :) :) :)

  411. Jenny E.

My grandmother’s onion dressing. It’s DELICIOUS, although it sounds kinda weird. She passed away last year, but I will be making it this year and all the years to come, in memory of her.

  412. Teresa Millar

Stuffing! My mom makes a very unique sausage stuffing that you slice when it comes out of the bird – it is amazing!

  413. Michael Pittre

My favorite Thanksgiving is undoubtedly Cajun Deep Fried Turkey. My first taste of a deep fried turkey was in 1990. A friend of mine was frying one injected with Itallial Salad Dressing. The technic was impressive but the flavoring was not. I spent the next many years frying turkeys with everything I could find off of the shelves and never liked any one of them, so I worked on developing my own. After many years I finally created an injectable marinade that hands down is better than the best selling, most popular injectable marinades on the market today. During the Thanksgiving Holidays I fry a whole lot of Turkeys for Friends, Family and customers and every year the numbers increase. Next year we will run ads and fry Turkeys for restaurants. Because of a deep fried turkey I now have a line of wonderful seasonings and injectable marinades in several flavors and working on about five more. Definitely the Deep Fried Turkey is my favorite and it changec my life.

  414. Kathy Moran

I really don’t have a favorite…. i love EVERYTHING about thanksgiving and would really love to win this…. thanks!!!!

  415. Jennifer Long

Sweet potato dish that I saw on a tv food netowrk show. It calls for sweet potatoes to be chucnked and boiled then out in baking dish and then you add a layer of lemons and bake until potatos are fork tender then you add the marshmellows and bake until the melt on top then torch or broil to make borwn and cripsy top. Yum!

  416. Sarah Weber

Thanksgiving, the whole thing is absolutely delicious! Broccoli Casserole and Pecan Pie, yummmmmmmmm! We have been Frying the Turkey for several years….such a mess outdoors! This new fryer would absolutely be the BOMB! Thanks for a chance to win!

  417. debbi

I LOVE the whole meal, but I would have to say the dark meat of the turkey is my favorite. Thanks for the great giveaway! *fingers crossed*

  418. Mindy

WOW! another awesome giveaway from Kevin & Amanda! You guys are awesome.
It is really super of you guys to be conducting these giveaways to your dedicated readers. We all really appreciate it. My favorite Thanksgiving dish is actually two dishes combined! I love juicy turkey pieces mixed in creamy mashed potatoes. I know my husband would love this turkey frier, and one made by Masterbuilt, that is the icing on the cake! I always say it, because it’s the truth: YOU GUYS ROCK!

  419. marilyn

my favorite dish is the whole meal I really can’t pick one thing. Thanksgivinig is my absolute favorite holiday!

  420. amanda cramer

Wow what a great giveaway!! My husband would love if I won this:) Well I have two favorites, my Mom’s stuffing and my recipe for sweet potato casserole! I know you can make them anytime of the year but they just taste better on Thanksgiving Day and the few days following:) Gotta love leftovers!

  421. Julie

Definitely my home made stuffing. I wait all year for it. Of course, I could make it throughout the year but it makes it taste so much better when you only get it once a year. :)

  422. Ash

I’m not a big fan of traditional Thanksgiving foods like turkey, stuffing or sweet potatoes so I’ve got to say “pie”! All of them! Pumpkin, apple, olalaberry…yum yum yum!

  423. Jenn

I love the turkey and stuffing sandwiches from leftovers. Somehow they taste better when they come from Thanksgiving dinner.

  424. Paulette Cawthon

I would have to say my favorite is my grandmother’s pecan pie. It is so good, I always ask her for two…one for me and the other for the rest of the family!

  425. Erin G.

I am really looking forward to Sweet Potato Casserole this Thanksgiving! I’m even going to try to make it myself this year.

  426. Sharon

My grandfather was a machinist, immigrated from Holland. He had a co-worker who was German, who gave him a recipe for pork sausage/bread stuffing. This recipe has been made by our family every year for more than 80 years. It wouldn’t be Thanksgiving without it!

  427. Carrie

My Grandmas deviled eggs and dirt pudding, which she brings to Thanksgiving every year. We all “fight” over both dishes. My brother usually attempts to hide the dirt pudding from the rest of us. Maybe it’s the memories those two dishes have created more than the actual taste of them, but I am not sure any Thanksgiving would be complete without them.

  428. Patti W

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would be my aunt’s stuffing and turkey. We do a potluck and she always does the turkey. There is noone else in our family who makes it just like she does.

  429. Addy

My favorite part of Thanksgiving g is stayi g up super late an cooking. The. Est is the dressing because I use my aunt’s recipe. I also love the ham be ause for years my dad would pick off the ham since he was such a control freak in the kitchen.

  430. Michelle C.

So I have this thing for jellied cranberry sauce. Yes, the kind that is shaped exactly like the can it was in when you slosh it onto a serving dish. But, that’s not really a side dish…is it?

I think my absolute favorite thing about Thanksgiving dinner are the sweet potatoes. I make a creamy version (it’s almost custard-like) and I add in pecans and gobs of brown sugar. The topping is sort of like a crumble (brown sugar, flour, butter, more pecans!) and, of course, I have to have marshmallows, too. I swear, it’s more like a dessert. Nom nom nom!

Thanks for the chance to win! :)

  431. janet tobler

instead of my husband making the fried turkey,
i could make the fried turkey with this new device.
not as scary as the other one to use.

    thanks for the opportunity.

  432. katie lynn

I love EVERYTHING about Thanksgiving dinner, but my favorite would be my grandma’s wedding soup. She only makes it once a year. Yummm!

  433. Karen

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is Aunt Marion’s Sweet Potato Casserole with Jack Daniels Whiskey in it!! Yum!! – Karen

  434. Jenell

I love everything about Thanksgiving. My favorite would have to be stuffing. And a leftover turkey sandwich the next day with stuffing and cranberry sauce on it!

  435. Paulette Stewart

Oooooh, it’s most definitely my mom’s sweet potato casserole! All that buttery, brown-sugar goodness, topped off with walnuts. I could eat it and eat it and eat it til the turkeys come home.

    Paulette

  436. karen

For me, it’s the whole shebang, my family always expects me to make my traditional turkey, dressing and loaded-with-cranberries on a multi-grain bun sandwich. yum. but all the great food wouldn’t be the same without my family all packed around the table.

  437. Nicole Barczak

Mmmm… I love the whole meal! HAHA! I think I’d have to say though the turkey and stuffing. Not something we have often (or at all?!) during the year so it is a delish combination!

  438. Melissa Reuss

My favorite would have to be the stuffing. I don’t make it any other time of the year, so it is extra special on Thanksgiving.

  439. sue

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is a family one called “spergetta”. It’s spaghetti pasta, green peppers, cheddar cheese and a light custard that holds it all together when baked. YUM.

  440. Tracy Robert

I would have to say chicken and noodles on top of mashed potatoes.
Always a Thanksgiving staple for us. Happy Turkey Day to all!

  441. Marilyn

Oh! I love the fryer. We have one of the “old-fashioned”ones that uses the gas burner and a giant pot; need to use a thermometer; messy and dangerous. We do it because it is delicious so it is my favorite part of Thanksgiving. Perhaps need to save up for one of these!

  442. Robin Strickland

What’s my favorite Thanksgiving dish? My mom makes homemade stuffing every year (she’s been doing it for 40+ years) and it is so yummy! The combination of the flavor of Sage & cornbread are awesome!

  443. Dale @ Tradeurbeads

My favorite dish(s) is pumpkin pie the next day for breakfast and Turkey sandwiches for lunch! Then the rush of cooking is over and I can just enjoy my day off with my family.

  444. Wini

The Turkey breast is my favorite dish – so juicy and full of flavor! But it has a very, very close runner-up with my mom’s giblet stuffing! It is so good too!
Thank you for the chance to win!
    Hugs, Wini

  445. DebiJ

This is our first year to travel out of state and not host Thanksgiving so I will miss making sweet potato casserole.

  446. kathy

My favorite THANKSGIVING meal is the “meal” between those who are present. Giving thanks for those who are so special to us and sharing that time around the table completes the THanksgiving meal for me. Of course alittle squash casserole gets the conversation started. ha

  447. Melissa P. @Mel4Him

My favorite Thanksgiving Dish is butternut squash. A table without squash is not a Thanksgiving table. : )

  448. Liz (Little Bitty Bakes)

Hmm, I really like to mix my stuffing and corn into my mashed potatoes… I think that’s my favorite “dish mix” :)

  449. Peggy

I can remember making stuffing with my grandma. We bought bread, cubed it up,set it on top of her fridge to dry for a day, then made it in the am in the in a white graniteware roaster(I now have this). So Stuffing would have to be my favorite because it brings tears to my eyes just writing this. She gave me my love for cooking and hopefully someday I can pass it on to my grandkids.
PS: my HUBBY would love to fry a turkey and this would be the best!
    LOVE your blog

  450. Candice

my favorite thanksgiving dish is either homemade mashed potatoes or homemade creamed spinach! They are always the first to go in my home on thanksgiving

  451. Sandy F

I love all of it, but a favorite would be Blueberry Salad because my mom always made it and it reminds me of her.

  452. Jessica

Fave dish is by far my family’s cabin turkey. It’s basically fried turkey fingers. Sooo yummy! And this would help my husband and I continue the tradition!

  453. Jean

So many delicious dishes to pick from for a Thanksgiving favorite. I think mine would have to be sour cherry pie. After the filling and heavenly turkey with all the fixings, the tartness of the pie is a perfect ending.
Did I mention I also love the Turkey, stuffing, mashies, squash, green beans, creamed onions, orange/cranberry relish, homemade butterhorn rolls…………
    I really love it all………

  454. Rene

Besides the Turkey……..My daughter’s apple pie! She makes it with a recipe that was handed down several generations on her husband’s side. THE Best Pie Crust EVER!!

  455. Lisa B

My Grandmother would always make a meat stuffing with onions, cloves, and cinnamon. Just say meat stuffing to anyone in my family and they just can’t help but smile.

  456. Reagan Tunstall

The turkey is always my favorite but my favorite side is sweet potatoes with marshmallows!
What a great giveaway! fingers crossed!

  457. Jane Crawford

Late that night, turkey sandwich on real fresh bread with Kraft’s mayonnaise and my Momma’s cranberry sauce recipe.

  458. Cathy barrows

Southern cornbread dressing all the way with gravy made from the juices of the turkey. That will be half of my plate…yummy!

  459. Megan

Sweet Potato Casserole. I make it every year and I love it! My runner up would be left over turkey, mayo and cranberry sauce sandwhiches!

  460. Brandy

Min is a big scoop of turkey & mashed potatoes dunked in gravy…….o yummy I can’s wait for Thanksgiving!!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  461. Leslie Kiley

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday by far! Everyone comes home and it is a quiet fun time with the family! My favorite dish has to be the Butterball that we have every year! We always try to find one with a big breast cause only one of our family members like the dark meat! I really love everything we have and wish we had it more often. I have always wanted to try a fried Turkey so maybe if I win I will get to!!!

  462. carmel atanasu-teeters

Do I have to pick just one? Thanksgiving is my absolute favorite holiday….. not only for the meaning of the day but also for the wonderful dishes of the day. My faves are all the vegie casseroles that I get to sample at my workplace get together, our church covered dish celebration and all the blogs that I am subscribed to!!! I am trying a new zucchini bake this weekend.

  463. Brian

Stuffing is always a treat at Thanksgiving. I remember toasting bread for Mom when I was young and then cubing it so she could make the stuffing!

  464. Andrea Watters

My favorite Thanksgiving dish is a pineapple casserole. The combination of pineapple, sharp cheddar and crushed Ritz crackers sounds strange but it is delicious!!! Even the little ones love it.. I’ve found the grownups are more willing to try it if they don’t know what’s in it beforehand 

  465. kathleen.summers

Wow, that is a crazy awesome giveaway! My fave dish at Thanksgiving? The turkey! I’ve always wanted to do a fried turkey. Sounds divine!

  466. Jean Punt

My very favorite Thanksgiving dish has to be the day after….when we make a
‘hash’ out of the leftovers….especially the dressing and gravy..added to the moist
pieces of dark and white turkey..heated perfectly and served with cranberry sauce.
And, of course, that wonderful pumpkin pie topped with real whipped cream.

  467. Anne Cravens

It’s got to be cornbread and sausage stuffing! I just saw a sweet potato gratin though that I’m dying to try this Thanksgiving!

  468. Jill C

The fryer looks so fun! I’ve never cooked one like that, but it sounds like it would be delicious! My favorite holiday dish? Sweet Potatoes, with marshmallows toasted on top of course. Makes my mouth water just thinking out it right now!

  469. Sher

Praline Sweet Potato casserole and my mother’s homemade dressing. Yum. Thanks for the opportunity to win this neat prize!

  470. Charlotte Mercer

Oops! I thought it said, ‘Turkey Dish’! LOL!!! Now my eyes are going, too! :D

My favorite Thanksgiving dish would have to be the Waldorf Apple Salad my mom makes. It’s a Thanksgiving tradition in our family and it’s now down to just her and I that eats it. We don’t care, though. That’s just more for us!! ;o)

    Happy Thanksgiving!!

  471. Charlotte Mercer

My fave turkey dish would have to be Turkey Divan. It’s one of the recipes I love to make with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and my family loves it, too. Of course, I always make sure there’s still enough left over for sandwiches! :D

  472. Kristin M.

My favorite dish for Thanksgiving is a tie between my mothers sour cream and cheese chunked mash potatoes and my Uncles baked potato soup. Yum!

  473. Kim Carnow

The Turkey and the mashed potatoes, gravy, and fresh cranberry sauce. And I can’t forget the dessert… Fresh baked pumpkin pie with whipped cream!

  474. Stephanie

I really really love the whole meal! Each part makes the whole thing so delicious! But if I had to choose one thing, it would be pumpkin pie with caramel whipped cream!
