The new CAMEOâ„¢ can now cut materials up to 12 inches wide! It comes with the software to create your own designs, and you can also cut out any font on your computer, including all the Kevin & Amanda Fonts! The Silhouette is Mac and PC friendly.

I would make a wall saying/decal that would make the children I evaluate in my office more comfortable since they tend to come from abusive homes.

  15. Sarah B

I have never used a vinyl cutter so I really want to try something with vinyl for my boys’ room, but I think I’ll have to try some fabric cutting for pillows in my living room too

  16. Jessica S

I am a graphic design student and all of the concept we create we have to make a real life ‘mock up’. With this machine I would be able to save so much time, I’m sure my projects would look better, and it would be a fun experience at the same time! My first project would most likely be my wine bottles I have to create, I can actually make a label! Second would be my shirt design project (we have to create 6). Third would be my CD project, I could create a cool decal to make the cover pop out. I also love decorating around the house, so all around this would be an awesome win!!

  17. Becky Morse

The first thing I’d do is make Christmas gifts for my neighbors and co-workers. Great way to make super cute, inexpensive gifts!

  18. PixelBerryPie

I’d probably use a Silhouette mostly for creating stencils to use in crafts. It would be awesome to win one of these machines!! Thanks for the chance.

  19. Diane Marrs

I would love to win the Silhouette Cameo so I can do some glass etching for Christmas gifts. Thanks and God Bless!

  20. Lindsay

I would make some cute t-shirts for my boys with the fabric ink first. I also want to try to make as many things for Christmas as I can, so I’d love to use the Cameo for that – glass etched pieces, calendars and chalkboard menus using vinyl, clothes or pillow covers accented using heat transfer or fabric ink – SO many possibilities!

Thanks SO much for the giveaway!

  21. Alana

I would have a hard time choosing which project to try first, but probably would use it to make some holiday attire for my daughter. It looks like a lot of fun!

  22. Teresa

I want one of these so badly, but can’t come up with it now. I have seen so many ideas that I want to try, banners, frames, clothing transfers, my car!

  23. Dana B

I would use it to etch glass. I’m eyeballing those big glass canisters, and need a great way to etch them.

  24. marcy dunaway

I am dying to get my hands on one!!!! My first project would probably be with vinyl followed by fabric!

  25. Laurie Johnsey

  26. Cara J

I’d try some of the cute fabric things with the heat transfer material! I love all the cute kids clothes ideas I have seen lately!!!

  27. Jayne (aka Granny)

I love the idea of glass etching, so I’d definitely try that first (I’ll let you know how it goes!). After that, all things I could do for my four beautiful grandkids is just mind boggling!

  28. Lori

I’d love to try a fabric project – but then again, vinyl would be so tempting! Thanks so much for the awesome giveaway!

  29. Rachel jones

I make everyone in our family cloth bags with their names on it for Christmas. Try to get everyone to use less plastic bags at the store. Also, would love to do the glass etching on my glass jars in the panty.

  40. rozannah trockel

I would definitely cut out some paper leaves for our Thanksgiving tradition of filling a bare tree with all of the things that we are grateful for.

  41. Tamara

I’ve found that I really could use a Silhouette for making stencils to use in my wood crafts. I’m always needing new stencil designs cut out, and sometimes they are too intricate for handscissors. It would be so great to win this machine!!

I would do something with the vinyl…I don’t have any of the cute words in my house and would love to make some.

  49. Lora

I would love to cut out some really cool designs to wrap around candle holders! And make some really cute tote bags!

  50. Kristi

I’d take it to work, and have the kids come up with designs to decorate the walls! Cinder block is not cute, no matter what color it’s painted!

  51. Stephanie L.

I have wanted one for such a long time…..my to do list is super long! But I would begin with some vinyl crafts for Christmas!!!

Thanks for offering us a chance to win this amazing machine!

  52. Janet

I am a librarian at a preschool. I would use the Silouette “bling” for a bulletin board. Little kiddos can’t have too much sparkle.

  53. Danielle

I would definitely use it first to create AMAZING fronts to my christmas cards. I have been into fine paper cutting art, and would fall head over heels to create my own intricate designs. Then I would make a Christmas gift for my Grandmother that Ive been planning, but that seemed so over the top when needing to be done by hand-blade: I would make sillouettes of all our family. Then… well, There are so many possibilities it is impossible to name them all!

  54. Amanda H.

I have about a million ideas for Christmas swimming around in my head, but some shirts with rhinestones and fabric paint would make the day of my 3 little girls.

I would go to town on the scrapbooks I have waiting for me to create – I just have been lost on the titles and layouts. I know this would be a BIG help!

  84. Melinda Shapro

What an amazing tool! I’d definately start with a vinyl project first. My washer/dryer could use some colour!

  85. Mandy Larson

The first Silhouette project I’d try would be curtains for my best friend’s living room. She just got married this past weekend in Florida. The wedding was AMAZING but pretty expensive with all the cost incurred from being a bridesmaid. Having said that, my wedding gift was far less than wonderful and being that she’s amazing and one of my oldest friends I promised her I’d be making it up to her at some point. When I saw your post for this AMAZING new craft cutter, I thought it would be the perfect way to jazz up there new condo. See, Jamie and her new husband Ben are renting a beautiful condo in Jacksonville Beach FL but considering Jamie can’t find a job and they are newly married they haven’t really “decorated” and by haven’t really decorated I mean everything is still in boxes, no curtains, no pictures… NOTHING! This just doesn’t work for me so my first project(s) would definitely be to help get some color and style going in their new home and new life together. Please help me give her the wedding gift(s) she deserves!

  86. Myka

I would love to make Christmas gifts for my daughter, nieces and nephews, cutting fabric to make appliques and more! So many ideas and possibilities! Thanks so much for this giveaway opportunity!

  110. Lisa Casper

There are so many things to try, it’s hard to know what to try first! Probably some cute vinyl decor to help my poor bare walls. And make as many Christmas gifts as possible! Thanks for the giveaway!

  111. Rachel

I would start with somr fun pillows for the holidays with the heat transfer, then on to cards, t-shirts, home organization (got to make the boring stuff fun!), and some classroom projects for my kiddos!

I would love to cut my own letters to create a custom shirt, will have to see how thick of fabric it can cut. So I would probably do a vinyl sticker for my laptop as a first project.

  140. Jessica J

I would make a large monogram for a salvage window. I would also use it to make stencils or to make fun appliques for kids clothes. I really have so many projects that a Silhouette Cameo would help me with. Thanks for the great giveaway

I am a mother of one and a grandmother of one. My only child had her only child 12 years ago. You would think what a small family, but we are all so close-knit. In fact, I live with my daughter and her family. It is a blessing. No money in the world could buy the love I get and share with her and the family. Don’t get me started on the pet population in this house. It out numbers the humans! We are all pet lovers. Which brings me to what I would make. I am not quite sure what I would make, but it would be pet related. I was thinking about using the Cameo to design a collar for each dog for each holiday! I don’t trust my hand and x-acto knife skills enough to have ever tried yet. I was recently married this Fall and would love to create some family name dishes (*think glass pyrex dish of lasagna being shared with company, and seeing our family name etched into the bottom!). Plus, they would make great and EASY gifts! THEN it would be on to the rest of the projects (and oh, there are many!). I’m with you, it is TIME to try some glass etching!

  345. Jessie H

Definitely the vinyl on the appliances! We don’t have a laundry room just a closet with no doors. We had doors, but since we have two kids in cloth diapers there was no point to them since they were never closed, so we took them off ;) It would be nice to dress up the washer/dryer a bit!

I would love to make something cool for the niche in my home – it needs some kind of art and it’s a large opening and I have an idea of birds on a branch or something similar. Then, I would use the silhouette in my cardmaking and scrapbooking. The options seem endless. Thanks for this opportunity to win an awesome product.

  433. Emily F.

  578. Rachael

I think I would probably try the glass etching first…but I’d have to say that I would probably neglect my house for a week to just have fun!!!!! LOL!

  579. Angela Thomas

I am a newlywed so I would love to make all sorts of fun things with my new last name! I also love the vinyl on appliances idea!

  580. Bobbie

I would immediately start on Christmas presents…quick, fast and in a hurry. I would love to make signs with your fonts and try some glass etching on baking dishes for some wedding presents. Of course I’d share with all my friends too!

  581. Amber

I would make vinyl stickers for all of my file cabinets! Most of them are pink, but two are boring. They need some colorful love :).

there are SO many things i’d love to find time to make with one of these machines, but i absolutely ADORE the appliance vinyls… how fun would THAT be?

  587. MCC

I would love to use it to cut fabric! I think the age of each child transferred onto a tee would be so cute every year!

  588. Lynsey

There are so many projects I want to try I hardly know what I would do first. I do want to make a monogrammed top for my daughters, and I know it would be SO much easier to cut the fabric using this machine instead of by hand. So that is probably what I would start with.

  589. Emily Roberts

I would totally use this to make vinyl decals to put on boxes to send out with my baked goods!

I would also use the Cameo to make t-shirts and fun accessories for friends and family.

  590. Miia Guinn

I would create a design to put on canvas and hang it somewhere in my house. Maybe a set of family initials!

  591. Amy

  599. Tali

I would love to get my hands on one of these and use the fabric ink to make unique gifts for everyone on my list!

  600. 52scrap

I have had my eye on this for awhile now and would LOVE to try one out. I would first try something with the vinyl and then definately the glass etching. SOOOOO COOL!

  601. Amanda

    Holy thousands of comments, Batman!

Since we just bought a new house, I’d start with cutting letters for my toddler’s bedroom wall! Gotta start somewhere.

  602. Jen Nicholes

I have a lot of boring walls so I think I would try making my own stencils or cut some vinyl to add some pop!

  603. amanda gibson

Its a toss up between the vinyl or the heat transfer. I’m in Christmas Craft mode – so either would make for some great additions to home made Christmas gifts!
Thanks for the chance to win!

  604. Rodney

I would love to win one, not for myself but for my wife. Then maybe she will stop asking me to paint things for her or build something. She’ll be so busy with her own projects that she won’t have time to think of new ones for me.

  605. Stacey

I would probably start out with scrapbook pages and greeting cards. However, the vinyl cutouts for the washer are so creative and the aprons are adorable!

    Fun!

  611. Jennifer M

I’d do something with fabric, like make my own throw pillow cover design. I can’t seem to find anything that’s just right in the stores, so I’d love to design my own stencil and paint a plain white throw pillow with the fabric paint.

  637. Kimberly W.

I have had my silhouette SD now for 2 years, when I first got it I used it so much! The drawback on the silhouette for me was that it was not capable for 12×12 paper like the Cameo is!

This is Sooo on my Christmas W!sh list!

  662. Donna Brockman

I am a quilter, scrapbooker, and cardmaker so it’s difficult to decide what I would do first. Probably fabric or stencil for quilting.

  663. Julie

Oh my. I have no idea what I would try first…probably something small and simple like a Thanksgiving onesie with rhinestones for my daughter. I REALLY hope you pick me :)

  664. MANDIE W

  672. Evil Pixie

The first project I would try is the aprons. I would make one for me, my mum, and my sister. And now would be a good time too because with the holidays fast approaching, we’ll be spending lots of time in the kitchen… cooking, baking, and laughing.

  679. M'chelle

I would most definitely use it to make some homemade Christmas gifts (aprons, glass etched casserole dishes, and decorative stuff) for my incredible mother-in-law who has helped me so much through my illness…especially with my two little boys!!

  680. Erika O'Neal

I have wanted one of these for awhile for some serious vinyl action on my walls, but what I would be most excited for and try first are the fabric cutting capabilities! Think of the appliqué possibilities!

  681. Carole Fish

With nine grands and three of them new baby girls, I would love to to do fabric paint matching Tees for all of them! Too cute!

  682. Kim

  690. Deborah Harris

There are soooo many that I want to do. I think I would try the Subway Sign Art first and then move on to the fabric stencil. I want to stencil some burlap fabric with a damask pattern and make some Ballard Design inspired curtains for my dining room! :-)

  691. BettyC

I’d definitely like to try something with vinyl, for the walls. The Silhouette Cameo would be wonderful to have for the holidays!

  703. Tiffany

Oh, I would love to have that to play with! The machine itself is so pretty! I would probably make Christmas cards first.

  704. Marcia

I think it would have to be a vinyl project. I understand vinyl also sticks to walls. So, a favorite saying for my work room would be a great place to start. Thank you for the chance to win such a great prize……….

  705. Lisa Y.

I would love to try the fonts…I am in the process of getting ready for my 25th year high school reunion and I need LOTS of letters for the banners we plan on making. This would be perfect!

My daughter’s birthday is the day after Christmas, so I’m thinking I’d use this to help make it special for her. Birthday shirt, banner, and whatever else I can some up with.

  710. Mary Stein

Oh my! Look at the responses to this contest! To answer the question, I love the vinyl transfer idea for the washer and dryer and vinyl is so practical to decorate with – but I also am torn with how easy to monogram creatively with etching and sewing. I might be trying all three at once…

  711. ROBERT LOPEZ

  715. LizRC

Wall art for my home, but the heat transfer and fabric paints look so cool that I’d surely have a hard time choosing!

  716. Ingrid

Glass etching, too! I’ve done it once before, with a stencil I painfully cut out by hand. The wine glasses turned out awesome (they were “goodies” for a bachelorette party that involved a winery tasting stop), but having a machine to make the pattern would have made it so much quicker. If I had one I think I’d start customizing all sorts of glass products – glasses for our bar, a water pitcher, candle holders!

  717. meg

I have so many bulletin board ideas for my 1st, 5th and 6th grade classes! I would have LOVED to make a pumpkin “reading” patch this year (where the kids write the title and author of books read on the pumpkin and place it on the board to watch the patch grow!) but the thought of cutting out all the pumpkins discouraged me! :p What a time (and hand!) saver this would be!

  718. Liz

I would love to make a banner for my parent’s 60th birthday party I’m planning. Along with other special details.

  721. Wendy Carlile

I would soooo try the rhinestone project first! It looks so amazing. I can only imagine what I could do with my 6 year old’s clothes with this thing! PICK ME PICK ME!!!

  722. Patti W

  886. Shannon

I’d be so happy just to have this spectacular tool at my disposal, I’d probably sit for five minutes in awe of it :-) — then I’d crack open some vinyl and create something for the walls in my craft studio and then definitely some cool and intricate paper elements for unique cards! Thanks for this chance at potential greatness — you guys ROCK!

  887. Adrianne

Oh, I would so love to win. I’ve been hinting to my husband that I need one of these for Christmas. I don’t think he’s getting the hint! I would try Vinyl very first. I have never used a cutting machine before and I am so excited to jump on board with everyone else!

  898. Julie

I would be cutting out vinyl decals for my apartment walls! Those boring white walls could use some extra flair! I am dreaming of the day when I have my very own Silhouette machine!!! :D

  899. Sheila

The first thing I would like to try is something using the fonts that you have created. I had a Cricut and could never really make what I was wanting to because I never had the right fonts. Your fonts are just what I have been looking for to get my creative side flowing again.

  962. kristina

I am looooving the heat transfer apron example so would HAVE to try those!

The number one reason I think I’d be so excited to have one of these awesome little machines, is because I make wooden wedding signs (www.SweetWeddingDetails.etsy.com) and right now I pay a lady that custom cuts each and every stenciled word (she has a Silhouette). It would be a huuuge time saver and I could whip up new ideas whenever I think of them instead of ordering, shipping, and waiting before I can start my latest crafting adventure :)

  1010. Mindy

I am not sure if this would answer your question, but I would take single photos of each person in my family (there are just 3 of us) and I would make a silhouette for each photo and then fill the silhouette with something fun.. either pretty pastels.. or a collage of some sort. Then I would frame each of us and hang the three on a wall together. I know that I might be able to do this without the machine, but the silhouette cameo would make it sooooooo much easier, and precise! so, I would make that. I hope I’ve inspired someone else do make this same project. You can make them as a family, and it can really be something to cherish for years to come.

  1011. Heather

Eeeeee!!! Oh the possibilities! I think I would do gifts for my sons preschool teachers for Christmas! Perfect! And then finally start putting together a scrapbook for both of my kids…..:)

  1012. cassie spurrier blackwelder

I have a large frame on a magnetic board that could use some embellishment. Also I’d love to add some vinyl to my bedroom wall. Thanks, this is an awesome giveaway!!

This looks amazing! I have wanted to own one of these for awhile now. I moved recently and my refrigerator recieved a few bumps and bruises. This would take care of it in a lovely way!

I think my first project would be to cut out custom bokeh designs…I’ve tried with an exacto knife before and it just wasn’t to my liking…this sounds like it would make it super easy. And I’m very intrigued by the rhinestone designs too!

I would use it to make all of my stencils! my projects are limited because i am not very good at cutting designs in paper freehanded :( so much i could do! i would do everything :)

I’m a papercrafts kinda girl so I’d use it to cut various kinds of 3D boxes, purses, etc. Luv my Cricut but a Silhouette would be nice! :)

I think I would try some tote bags (or shirts) for my group of high school friends that still get together 2x a year…even after graduating 28 years ago.

  1029. Rebekah

I would probably try some simple home decor project with vinyl. THEN I would try everything else I could imagine!

I would love to use it to cut fabric. I hate cutting quilt pieces by hand and it would save me so much time if I had this machine! Thanks for the great giveaway.
