More than once I’ve stepped on that devilish contraption known as the bathroom scale and wondered, Well, hmm. What the heck is going on here?

I am a banana addict. It is always in my house. I love that add them to whatever I am eating or after or to hold me over until my next meal. I giggled because I have wanted to throw my scale out the window because the same has happened to me with wacky numbers so now I have been using my kids Wii in order to check my weight Ha. I am doing WW and have lost 25 pds so far so a scale would be wonderful so I can leave my kids Wii for playing!

My favorite healthy snack is fresh sliced strawberries sprinkled with Splenda. I refrigerate for a few hours (or over night) then add a sliced banana before I enjoy them!

My family does this too! But, we also add blueberries and blackberries.

It’s amazing how much better the Splenda tastes than regular sugar, in my opinion!

Awesome giveaway-I’ve been wanting one of these scales! My favorite healthy snack are these healthy banana muffins I make-I add in different kinds of fruit each time I make them. I use ground oats in place of white flour and no sugar. Yum! Thanks for the fun giveaway!

I LOVE sliced almonds with vanilla yogurt! When I had gestational diabetes and was put on a low-carb, low-sugar diet, that was one of the snacks and it was tasty and filling, while following my strict guidelines. :-)

I love fruit for my snack. When I dont have fresh around I do try to have alot of frozen fruit in freezer for smoothies, so when I’m out of fresh I throw some frozen in a bowl and by the time snack time arrives its thawed and yummy! ;) I love putting grapenuts on them for extra crunch too.

I couldn’t help but comment…I’ve watched your blog for some time, and this scale is amazing! Every morning -since I was 15 or so- I have eaten organic bran cereal and plain yogurt. It keeps me full and is my favorite meal of the day! And, it gives me energy for my morning workouts…oh, and water, water, water..with lemon..mmmm :). Oh, I’d LOVE this scale-how helpful!

For a light supper, I love to take a whole wheat tortilla, cut it in half and put one half in the skillet. I then sprinkle on a little low fat cheese, salsa and refried beans. If I have it, I sometimes add some shredded chicken. I then put the top half on, warm up, and then I have a low cal, filling supper. Love the scale!

My favorite most convienent snack is definitly KELLOGS SPECIAL K bars; specifically the honey nut flavor; but the Chocolte pretzel is amazing also! Throw a few in your purse or desk at the office and you’ll always have something to hold you over to meal time! Next in line is smoked or roasted turkey lunchmeat wrapped around a weight watchers part-skim cheese stick! Wholesome, healthy and fulfilling!!!!

Now THAT scale is BEAUTIFUL “eye candy” Amanda… and I say this coming from my bed where I’m recently laid up with ankles the size of an elephant and feet that resemble something akin to a Platypus! Oh the woes of water retention!!

My all-time FAVORITE, every day, seriously YUM and ABSOLUTELY beneficial to “good health” snack is a DELICIOUS Kefir smoothie! Got to seriously LOVE the strength of it’s pro-biotics for one’s internal flora and fauna! 1 cup of kefir, 1 tsp unpasteurized honey, half a banana, a little wheat germ, a little flax seed and/or ground hazel nuts and lastly a bit of cocoa… Who says Chocolate Hazelnut can’t be healthy?!?!

I love granola – I always get the Kellogg’s Low Fat Granola cereal without raisins. I also like to buy those 100 calorie packs at the stores, so I can control my portions. That’s easier for me than digging out a measuring cup – especially if I’m at work or on the go.

What a neat scale! I am scared of what it will tell me. Does the scale also tell you, “You just had a baby, it’s okay!”

My favorite healthy snack is cold SOBA noodles (Japanese buckwheat noodles) in the traditional Japanese style. You put grated ginger and thinly sliced scallions in a small bowl with the dipping sauce. Scoop up some noodles, gently dip and enjoy!!! The noodles are eaten cold so you can make a batch and keep in the refrigerator. Cool, refreshing and healthy…

I have so a few healthy snacks I like but my favorites are my frozen strawberry popsicles and smoothies. For the popsicles, I cut a pint of fresh strawberries into small pieces and blend 3/4 of it with 2-3 tbsp of agave nectar, then mix the remaining strawberries in the mixture, place it popsicle molds and freeze. They are super fresh and yummy!! I also love smoothies in the morning, just 1 cup frozen fruit (I freeze berries, mangoes, and banana together), 3/4-1 cup orange juice (I use Tropicana50 with 50% less calories and sugar), and 1 tbsp of flaxseed oil. Blend it all up and drink up!!

Snacks…hmmm…in season – strawberries, then blueberries, then peaches. Oh how I wish their seasons were longer. I love to put a small dollop of organic vanilla ice cream on my fruit for a real extra treat and let it melt. Yum! I used to enjoy a few Salba tortilla chips…high in fiber and good stuff…but my market doesn’t carry them any more.

I make up a smoothie type snack that I freeze into individual containers that I love! Here is the recipe (even though most times I “eyeball” these measurements): 2 cups FF milk, 3 to 4 tablespoons of FF Vanilla instant pudding dry mix, 1/4 – 1/2 cup of splenda granulates(depends on how sweet you want it), a tablespoon of vanilla extract flavoring and frozen strawberries (I buy the sliced ones in the big bags at Sams). I place all ingredients in blender except strawberries and blend well. I add the frozen strawberries a few at a time until I get the consistence I want (around 2 cups). I will pour these in 1 cup containers and this makes around 4 or 5 containers, depending on how much I want to eat right then. You can use any type of frozen fruit to change the flavor.
I love getting a frozen one out and “scrapping” bites as I watch evening TV because it last for a while and keeps me from constant snacking.

My favorite healthy snack is cantalop – especially on a really hot day. I cut it up into chunks and store it away in the fridge so it gets nice and cold. When I’m feeling peckish, I simply scoop out a cup. By cutting it into chunks, it also makes the cup feel like I’m getting a lot more then if I did a wedge.

I love to mix corn flakes (or special k with dried fruit) and trail mix. That way you get a more filling snack, with less of the calories than eating the same amount in just nuts and chocolate etc. Also the crisp crunch of the corn flakes is a nice contrast.

I have always loved cantelope. I love eating some (ripe) cantelope as a good snack. I would choose it over chocolate, or cookies, any day. However, in high school I was also known to snack on a big bowl of peas right after I got home from school, and I would eat corn on the cob at any point in time if people are making it. So any of those three I guess!

A good veggie quinoa salad is perfect after a workout since it’s loaded with fiber and protein and a great way to get in an extra serving of veggies!

I would LOVE this scale. I had a bod pod test done last year so it’d be nice to keep up with the progress especially through plateaus!

Dave’s Killer bread is a great snack with peanut butter and it fills you up! I do keep a bag of almonds in my car to grab in case I get hungry when I’m driving around. Amazing features for one tool =) Good luck to me ;)

My favorite seems to be strawberries. I used to not be a fan of strawberries and I’ve recently changed my eating habits and have been working real hard to shed some weight and strawberries have been a great snack for me.
So far in 2 weeks I have lost 16.5 inches on my body and couldn’t be more excited!

I would have to say celery! Not a lot of people are a huge fan of it because of the little strings that come out of it. Yes, they can be annoying from time to time but I simply ignore them. You can use anything to dip them in! Cheese sauce, peanut butter, ranch, hot sauce, you name it! :)

This would be an awesome scale to have. I was just telling my husband the other day that we need a new scale. The timing couldn’t be perfect. My favorite, quick snack is called Almond Chocolate chip parfait. greek non-fat yogurt, 1/4 tsp almond extract or whatever you like, 1 TBSP small choc chips, and sprinkle with chopped up almonds. Great little snack and satisfy your sweet tooth.

My favourite healthy snack is any kind of fruit. I usually cut up cantaloupe and watermelon and keep it in a sealed container in the fridge, so I always have something munchy on hand. I can just shake some on to my plate at breakfast or lunch, have it for dessert with dinner, or throw some in a smaller container when I’m on the go. I’m trying to lose my baby weight right now, so this scale would be awesome. I’m curious to know how much of me is fat! (Right now, I feel like it’s ALL of me! LOL)

My favorite healthy thing to eat after I excercise: a strawberry banana smoothie made with yogurt, ice and a splash of OJ, plus a spinach and broccoli salad with craisins tossed in a very small amount of ranch. If you wash the broccoli first it leaves a little bit of water on it and thins out the ranch a bit so your veggies are covered, but you don’t have to use a ton of ranch :) SUPERFOODS galore!

I have been following the low GI diet for 1 1/2 years and love the recipe I found for fruit crisp that uses whole oats, Splenda brown sugar and Promise Buttery spread. This is so good and tastes like dessert. And, of course, I adore cookies. I didn’t think I would ever find a really healthy cookie, but sure enough I have. It also uses the Spenda brown sugar, whole oats and Promise Butter spread… but the naughty side of me adds peanut butter chips. I freeze these and put two in the microwave when I need a warm, gooey cookie experience….so good. It just helps get me over that hump we hit.

I really like celery and fresh ground peanut butter with a few raisins on top for sweetness. Did you know that celery helps you burn fat?! Then add the protein in the peanuts and the good fat that your body needs, along with a few good carbs from the raisins and you have it made! Also love homemade protein bars.

Just last weekend, my sister and I came across this delicious, healthy recipe that we have raved about ever since! It’s a truffle dessert that is very flexible! Here’s what we did {feel free to substitute your favorite fruit and change the pudding}:
–Use trifle bowl (for looks) or any bowl you can find!
1. Cover the bottom with one-inch cubes of angel food cake
2. Cover the cake with strawberries and blueberries
3. Cover the fruit with white chocolate pudding (we used skim milk)
4. Cover the pudding with fat-free whipped topping
Repeat until your bowl is full (you usually end with the whipped topping for decoration)! It should be refrigerated approximately 4 hours before eating.
-My sister and I are not cooks by any means, so if we can do it…you can too! Try it…we love it!

Fruit salsa! Finely chop any fruit you have in your house, but strawberry base is my favorite. Add blueberries, kiwis, apples, whatever.

Then brush some tortillas with olive oil, sprinkle with a little cinnamon-sugar and bake in oven for 10-15 minutes. Dip chips in the salsa for a tasty healthy snack!

This would be the perfect addition to my weight loss plan! Eating Healthy and Living Healthy!
My new discovery are the FlatOut Bread Light Flatbread. I bake one on my stone (preheated) for about 6 minutes. Take it out. Top with a small amount of pizza sauce, mushrooms, black olives, and mini turkey pepperoni. Top with a sprinkle of 2% shredded mozzerella and put back on the stone in the oven on broil for a minute or 2. You have to watch it so the edges don’t get too done!! It is the best treat with a salad and a Diet Dr Pepper! And very low fat, low calorie! Yummm!

My favorite healthy snack right now are these cherry/oatmeal muffins.
Throw 2 beaten eggs in a bowl, add 1 cup of whole wheat flour, oatmeal, sourmilk,with 1/2 cup melted butter, brown sugar, 1 tsp baking powder and 1/2 tsp. baking soda. Then add 1 cup frozen cherries (or blueberries) and bake @ 350 till done! Yummy!!

This is a little different than what has been listed so far. I love Korean Samgak Kim Bap. It is triangle (samkag) shaped rice (bap) wrapped in seaweed (kim). You can add fillings of your choice be if veggies and mushrooms to tuna and kimchi. My favorites are adding tuna or salmon that has been stir fried(light to no oil) with garlic, green onion, soy sauce, black pepper, and toasted sesame seeds. I also like to add kimchi. It is tucked in the middle of sushi rice and then wrapped in delicious seaweed. So satisfying and easy to take along with you. This is a popular picnic food in Korea. My 15 month old son loves this. I’m currently hooked on Trader Joe’s Mild Cheddar Cheese Sticks, I eat one after each workout. When I want a treat I snack on Lara Bars, the Apple Pie one is my fave. The ingrediants are all natural, only fruit and nuts and they taste amazing!

My all time favorite healthy snack is (drum roll please…): for the sweet tooth: grapefruit and for the salty cravings: warm tortillas cut into wedges and dipped in fresh salsa! I also love munching on a graham cracker for a quick fix since they tend to keep my stomach satisfied for a bit longer. Also, here’s a tip: when you feel like you need a snack, grab the water first! You are generally satisfied after that. If not, THEN you can grab a bite. (ps…LOVE your photography! All your photos are so crisp and just pop right out of the computer to me. That is so cool! I have a few sweet treats that are on the healthy side that I always turn to when I have a bit of a sweet tooth… A bit of “Just the Clusters” cereal (similar to granola), dried cranberries and banana chips, and Lite KettleCorn (100 calories of this fills a WHOLE bowl – my favorite comes from Trader Joe’s).

My favorite healthy snack is Garlic hummus and instead of chips I eat it with celery sticks. Mmmmm! so good and so healthy. I won over $700.00 in a weight loss contest at work and this was my go-to snack during that time. Not only did I win the money, but I won by losing the most weight. Can’t beat that!!!

When it comes to healthy snacks…my favorite is yogurt. I just love it and love the fact that my daughter is crazy about it. I love eating healthy snacks not just to control my weight. I mostly do it because I want my family to acquire a healthy routine and that they think of it as something that they crave and that will also be good for their body. I really wish that my toddler keeps thinking of yogurt and fruits as something as delicious as a giant cup of ice cream. Being in control of your body weight it is not only about looking good….it is more about keeping your body healthy and free of many diseases that will threaten your happiness. Thank you. I am from Honduras and I just love your blog. :)

What a wonderful weight management tool all packaged up inside of what is generally considered to be, a dieter’s worst friend. LOL! Seeing the break down can really help decide what the “next best move” is for the weight conscious.

My favorite healthy snack? Definitely Greek Yogurt – Blueberry.

I am also addicted to sliced apples with cinnamon, but you need to add a wee bit of protein to your snacks, so roasted almonds or other nuts are generally my choice.

That scale looks amazing! I am currently in a “extreme body makeover” and this would really be beat to have. I have a HUGE sweet tooth! I take frozen blueberries or blackberries (raspberries have too many seeds) put in a small storage container that has a lid, add a some skim milk that just barely covers them and a little sweetner, put the lid on and shake well. It makes a slushy sweet treat and I love it!

My most favorite healthy snack is a parfait. I make them at home with sliced strawberries, blueberries, pineapple or any other fruit that I have around, organic fat-free yogurt and sugar free granola. It’s delicious and you would never know it was good for you!

I love Nature Valley Oat N Honey bars. They are great. I don’t eat chocolate at all really so I have trouble finding a good bar to snack on at work. I dig fresh fruit as well, but the bars are easier to keep at work.

Chobani Yogurt. Greek yogurt is the best, tons of water and always anything with peanut butter,… in moderation of course. I love peanut butter and luckily just a small spoonful satisfies my sweet tooth and is great after a workout!

My favorite snack is a delicious and healthy smoothie – a little bit of Kefir, a banana, a big handful of berries, a spoonful of almond butter, a squirt of Flax Oil, and a scoop of Raw Protein Powder! It’s very filling and is easy to drink on the run (like in the car on the drive to work)! :)

This is quite the impressive scale!! My favorite healthy snack (besides anything with peanut butter…and that’s not that healthy – guilty pleasure) has to be a Mango Lassi! I am lactose intolerant so I use soy milk (which I find is quite healthy thanks to all the additives), exotic mangoes (I prefer whole instead of canned), my homemade vanilla extract, some plain yogurt and usually some sugar but you could use honey as well (or if feeling adventurous try it with Canadian maple syrup! Mmmh delightful).

Portion control is everything for me so I buy bulk snacks and divide them into snack sized zippy bags. You can’t really get more than one portion of most things in them and when it’s gone, I’m done!

My favorite healthy snack has to be fruits! I like almost any and every fruit out there. YOu can’t go wrong. It helps me satisfy my craving for sweets.

One way I eat a banana is a little less healthy than eating it raw, but it’s a good snack is you cut banana’s in about 5 or 6 pieces. Then mix almond butter and nutella together (I do a little more almond butter than nutella) and dip one side of the banana in the glorious mixture. Then smash up some nuts (I like using macadamias because they go well with the flavor of nutella) and then dip the banana in the nuts. To finish put them in the fridge or freezer if you’re impatient, then devour. They are so yummy!

My favorite healthy snack is Whole Grain Wasa Crisps with Laughing Cow Light Swiss cheese. The cheese is super creamy and delicious and the whole snack is only 150 calories for 2 crisps (40 cals. each) and 2 wedges of cheese (35 cals. each). The fiber fills me up and the cheese satisfies my cravings for, well… cheese! :)~

What a cool device! I have been working at changing the way I eat since January and have been losing weight pretty steadily. My muscle/fat ratio is my biggest challenge as I am losing weight but still have problems with the muffin top. This scale looks like it would help when you are trying to do more than just lose the pounds.
My favorite snack has become a small handful of walnuts or a string cheese. I also like small potion of cottage cheese with blueberries or blackberries on top. And one more is celery with peanut butter or cream cheese. YUM!

This sounds like an awesome thing to have to help keep up with healthy weight loss. I use the scale each day and I know my body is changing but the scale just measures one thing…weight. I try to eat fresh fruits for snacks. I love to eat pretzel sticks or banana popsicles from time to time for a break though. Thanks for the opportunity to win this great item!

I love a banana smoothie…..1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup yogurt, 1 ripe banana and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract and some ice. It fills me up and takes care of my sugar craving. I just started WW and I am trying to get healthy ; )

I love taking a cup of Dannon light and fit vanilla yogurt, adding a few spoonfuls of peanut butter and stirring it together to make peanut butter yogurt. Cut up apple slices and dip them in. Delicious!

That is a really cool scale. My go to healthy snack are almonds, but not just plain ones I like the cinnamon sugar or dark chocolate powder covered ones. Still healthy but a little sweet.

How cool is this? I am so trying to get off some of this jiggle-jiggle. In 2000 I went on WW and went from a size 18 (which made me almost as round as my 4′ 10” frame) to a 2. I kept the weight off for almost 10 years. Over the last year, I have really started packing it back on {sigh}! I’m sure some of the problem is my unavoidable knocking on 40’s door. In September, when I will actually step through that door, I would LOVE to be styling a size 4!

But, back to the task at hand… I am a self-confessed junk food junkie. I HATE most all veggies, but I am desperately trying to make new friends. I do love fruit, but again, you have to be careful of those as well. My husband keeps me a stock of dehydrated pineapple and most of the time there is a bag of sliced apples in the fridge.

Whole wheat crackers with cheddar cheese. I eat this snack everyday, and I like to consider it healthy because of the whole wheat. Plus it fils me up until dinner quite nicely.

I am dying for this scale! I have been trying to lose 15 – 20 lbs for awhile now and hate to admit that I’m having a hard time with it.

My favorite healthy snack are fruit smoothies… I take any fruit (fresh or frozen) that I have around the house, and throw it in the magic bullet with a little bit of lowfat vanilla yogurt and skim milk. SO yummy!

So, would chocolate Mini Wheats count as a healthy snack? They satisfy my urge for chocolate AND crunch, and they’re fairly low in fat and sugar. If those little pillows of Chocolate Heaven don’t count, I’d say any fruit smoothie made just with fruit and ice ~ add some granola or nuts, and you’ve got a great snack or mini-meal. Thank you for offering these scales ~ I’m intrigued by the electric current, but I’m guessing it’s less shocking than my weight swings! :)

Love this scale…thanks for giving us the chance to win. I really love fresh fruit — just about any kind. I especially love apples, bananas, and grapes. My absolute favorite, though, is so yummy that we sometimes have it as a healthy, low-calorie dessert. Fresh strawberries, sliced, topped with strawberry glaze and cool whip. We use the glaze that’s made with Splenda (the brand we find around here is T. Marzetti), and we use Cool Whip Free. It’s so good. I think I’ll go have some now.

How fun! I love “faking out” dessert by having a slice of toast with peanut butter with a few dark chocolate chips on top. Sure, it’s not as healthy as carrot sticks, but the healthy fats and antioxidants count for something, right?!

All these snack ideas are making me hungry! My favorite snack HUMMUS! Super easy to make and goes great with any kind of healthy chips or fresh veggies. I make my own all the time: 1 cup organic chic peas (save 1/2 of water from can to add to processor), 1 or 2 tbs tahini (depends on taste), 1/2 lemon or lime, salt and pepper to taste (I usualy use 1tsp of each). Put all ingredients in a food processor drizzle with olive oil and enjoy! Super easy and SUPER HEALTHY :)

My favorite healthy snack is a scoop of plain yogurt with fresh peaches on top, sprinkled with oatmeal. It is perfect because it is so filling and so good for you. It sounds a little weird, but it is perfect when you need something low-cal that is filling and still tastes good.

my healthy snacks are frozen grapes and clementines…not together, even though that would be great too, but I cat get enough of the clementines this season (little trick: put the peels down the sink and you have this amazing, fresh, citrus smell in your sink). And frozen grapes on hot day are really refreshing.

I love Bear Naked Chocolate Granola. It certainly hits that sweet tooth and is sometimes too good to put down. You can also add some low fat vanilla yogurt and top with strawberries for a wonderful “cool” afternoon snack after a hot day outside :) My children love it too.
Scale would be a wonderful addition to my diet plan so that I knew if that extra pound or two was water!

I am a HUGE fan of Veggie Chips/Straws and Spinach Hummus! I have even gotten my niece addicted to them (the veggie draws of course).
I also enjoy a nice fruit smoothie after a hard workout or on a hot day and I think I “need to eat”! I take OJ, frozen fruit (the tropical blend is fabulous), a few ice cubes and vanilla powder. Blend it in the blender until all chunks are pretty much gone and pour into a fun cup, get a straw, a good book, or check out your favorite blogs, relax and enjoy:)!

My mom and I usually eat our snack with…
Tuna + Mayonnaise + Sugar = Spread in our Sky Flakes.
We substitute Sky Flakes than loaf bread. :)
Although you may think that mayonnaise and sugar are not healthy, we just apply in a little amount so it is still healthy.

My favorite healthy snack is a 1/2 cup of cooked lentils. I cook up about three cups (dried) at a time. I lightly season them with sea salt. I eat them every day after lunch at 2pm. They fill me up and hold me over until dinner time. The nutritional value is impressive. I used to have an afternoon addiction to soda and something sweet. Lentils are a great for regulating blood sugar so I no longer have the desire to have the have the afternoon sugar and soda.

Fresh, home grown fruit! Oh, well with a bit of homemade yogurt. We are lucky to grow most of our own fruits, which include mangos, bananas, oranges, grapefruit, dates, currants, lemons, guavas, and a handful of exotic fruits. Never put any sugar or sweetener on my fruits. Thats the best snack ever!
