For the past two years I’ve gone shopping on black Friday, but this year I just plan to relax and do a little baking. Nothing this year has really caught my eye anyway, so I am just going to keep it low key and stay away from the huge crowds.
Ugh… I went to Target last year. Never again.
Only online shopping for me this year.
Since I live in Canada, we haven’t really had a “Black Friday” here. Although, this year where I live it seems a lot of retailers have jumped on the bandwagon and are calling their sales “Black Friday.” Not sure if it compares – or the significance of a Black Friday. Now I am curious – must Google. Hope our American friends had a lovely Thanksgiving…
I’ve got to get my license renewed, so my Black Friday will be at the DMV!!
If only I could get lucky!
I am not a Black Friday shopper. I am a teacher who took a pay cut this year, so keeping a limited budget for Christmas. Amazon.com will be my choice for finding deals on Black Friday.
Thanks for the give-a-way.
I am snug and warm inside the house shopping online! I used to love Black Friday until it spiraled into madness!
I’ve been out Black Friday shopping in the past and have always missed the highly advertised (and crazy good) deals because of the limited supply of the products. This year, I’m chilling in the house. I can’t get up early and fight the crowds like I used to.
I think I’ll have to wait for cyber Monday this year. I am going to find couple things for the boys :). Happy Holidays!
While some of the deals looked great, I just couldn’t face the crowds!
I am visiting family and taking the kids to the see the Muppet Movie.
I avoid Black Friday shopping.. to much craziness. I’ll do my shopping a little at a time this year..
Black Friday is avoided by me! Who wants to wait in line when you can buy online! Yay for the Internet!
I guess I have no patience to stand in long lines and to wait. So, with four kids, I tend to do my shopping online:):)
Black Friday is the day I stay home and decorate for the holidays. It’s a happy family day. No crazy crowds for me!
Black Friday isn’t for me…I don’t do the shopping that day…too crazy!
I don’t go to the stores on Black Friday because I can’t stand the crazy crowds. But this year I went to Old Navy on Thanksgiving for a few deals and that was great!
I don’t like shopping on a random day, forget about Black Friday!
I love Black Friday shopping, however, this year we have decided as our gift to each other to take a family trip to see our son who moved to San Diego last year. We will go in January when the airfare is better. This is two Christmases without being with our eldest son. Black Friday will wait until next year.
I’m 42 yrs old and I have never done the “Black Friday” thing…probably because I’m not a real big shopper and besides that if it ain’t there when I decide to go get it I guess it wasn’t ment to be!! Just saying! But thanks for the giveaway chance!
I did Black Friday the best way I know how…in my bed, with the laptop, in my flannel pajamas. Thank you so much Amazon!
I am staying home. No way that I want to wrestle with some of those shoppers.
I didn’t get out shopping this black Friday!
No Black Friday shopping for me!
No black friday shopping here. There’s nothing in the world I want or need enough to make that worthwhile.
This chick avoids Black Friday! We usually go out of town the day after Thanksgiving and I do some small gift shopping at some local boutiques but I don’t find that it is worth my time, or life, (lol) to go to big chains. Hope I win!!
This is the first time in several years that we haven’t been able to hit the stores on Black Friday. It feels so awesome to have all your shopping done before the sun is up.
I am an “online” Black Friday shopper! :) Love a deal, but not a line!
I quit going out last year and just did it all online and it was awesome! I still got super excited and was jumping around and laughing all night because I got amazing deals in my pajamas!!
Black Friday Shopping…not me! I stay in my nice warm bed….now my two grown kids on the other hand are Black Friday Crazy…like the Target Woman…Ka-razy!!
I stay far far away on black Friday ;)
I rarely venture out on black Friday but love to take advantage of the online sales that a lot of the retailers are now offering. Thanks for the chance!
I usually do a little Black Friday shopping. However, this year I’m staying in and doing it online (in my PJ’s with a hot cup of coffee). =)
Oh My Goodness…..Black Friday is NOT for me anymore…. I use to do that every year but just can’t take all the crowds and waiting anymore. I DO, however, LOVE hearing all the stories about it. And man oh man do I NEED those pans. I’ve been looking for a good set of pans for a couple of weeks now and just can’t decide what I like….this would be awesome to win. Thanks for the chance…. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving…..
I usually go out on Black Friday, but have not ventured out yet – getting ready to go
NO way would I go out shopping! I’m staying at home in my comfortable pajamas and browsing the online deals.
We do all our shopping online – I did head out this morning around 7:45AM to run a few errands and it wasn’t bad at all.
No black Friday for me. Did do a little on line.
Been doing all my shopping online. Would love to win this!!
If I can find a deal for something that I have planned to buy, I love it! But I’m not willing to join the throngs of shoppers and put up with all of the headaches of parking and waiting in long lines for check out. Plus, I am tempted to overspend when I am out in the stores and all of the signs are screaming ‘deal’. I’ve become an online shopper when I can.
I wish I could say that I was going shopping today but I am moving and unpacking instead. Happy Black Friday to everyone else.
My husband and I are celebrating our 40th birthdays in New Orleans this Thanksgiving, and we are headed to do some Katrina cleanup today, so no Black Friday shopping for us! We wouldn’t have it any other way. I do love so Calphalon though and cooking with their pans is one of the more joyful things in life. Happy Thanksgiving y’all!
Not a chance! I wait until cyber Monday instead :)
I slept in … It was amazing! However, my husband and dad woke up at 4:45am to go Black Friday shopping. Something didn’t seem right about that.
Crowds aren’t my thing so I might do a little online shopping today during the kids nap times :)
This year I went Black Friday shopping for the first time. I went to a super Walmart across town. I was shocked at the wall of people in the store. I did get some good deals, 8 gifts for less than $45 bucks. Most of the big ticket items I wanted I didn’t get. I was home by 1:00 am. Then my hubby decided to go to another regular Walmart 5 minutes From our house to see if they had any of the items I couldn’t get. The store was nearly empty when he got there and they had almost everything I wanted. He finished up our shopping. Our daughters Christmas presents are all bought now. The only thing that would top my first black friday experience is winning these pans!
I so love your blog!
If I win, I will give this to my daughter who is so deserving of some quality cookware!
Have a great “Holiday Season” !
…online black friday shopper! Stayed up way to late last night shopping!
Thanks for the giveaway – set looks amazing!
Heading out for Black Friday shopping as we speak! :) Love to observe and partake in the consumer craziness.
I’m not a Black Friday shopper. Sometimes we go out later in the afternoon or evening on Black Friday when the sales aren’t as spectacular but they are way less crowded!
This year I decided to NOT go black friday shopping…mainly because I didnt find anything that made we want to go out insanely early and stand in line for! Cyber Monday seems more up my alley :)
I ventured out last night at 10pm to hit a couple places, but that is the extent of my Black Friday shopping! Great giveaway!
Love this cookware! It would be a wonderful way to cook a pot of turkey soup!
I’m afraid I avoid Black Friday like the plague. Not a shopper.
I plan to stay inside and craft with my grandkids!
I’m not even internet shopping today! lol I plan to get some work done around the house and avoid the crowds.
Just got back from Walmart and came up empty-handed. Should’ve gotten an earlier start, but I value my sleep too much!
Well, let’s see, it’s 8:30 a.m., and I’m NOT out shopping, nor have I been! Nope, didn’t even contemplate it. Looked at the ads, but that’s as far as I got. I used to be able to fathom it when it was 4 a.m., 5 a.m., but MIDNIGHT? I don’t think so! Yes, I slept right through all of the excitement, and I’m not one bit sad about that! There will be plenty of deals over the next month that happen during daylight hours, I’m sure. Love these pans, and though my husband is the more frequent cook in our family (lucky me), I wouldn’t mind winning them for him! Enjoy your blog, as always.
Black Friday is a tradition I our family. We do it for the fun!!
Just finished all my Black Friday shopping on line. So easy.
Amanda
I love Black Friday shopping and I have to work today! Boo Hoo! I did however send the hubby out for a few specials. Happy Holidays everyone!
Nancy
Black Friday has me in bed this year as we are at family in Chicago for the Thanksgiving holiday. I don’t know this area and no one wanted to go shopping with me. What a nice giveaway you are offereing. Thanks for the chance to win ;).
Went to Walmart last night for toys. Slept a few hours and hit a few other stores that opened this am. Not quite as fruitful, but liked getting out!
This is the first year I can remember not shopping on black Friday… The funds are low. Very blessed to have had a great thanksgiving day, filled with family friends and lots of LOVE.
I avoid Black Friday Shopping like the plague! I am going to visit with family and eat wonderful leftovers!!! Perhaps a game of chicken foot or two.
No black Friday shopping for me. No way Jose.
My husband does all the cooking so he would love to have this set! :)
Thanks!
I don’ t dare brave the stores on Black Friday.
Black Friday is crazy! No thanks, I’ll stay home & wait for Cyber Monday to roll around. Besides, most places are starting their online deals early. Sitting at home with a warm cup of coffee is better than standing out in the cold in line anyway.
Going to look for a big screen TV. Your blog gets better and better. Thanks. Merry Christmas. Don’t forget the reason for the Season.
What a great giveaway! I’m going to spend this black Friday taking down my fall decorations and decking my halls for Christmas!!
I just got in from shopping! I’m exhausted and happy about my great deals! Now, if I could just win this cookware! :)
I go black friday for the tradition of it! I go with a friend and her daughter and it is for sheer entertainment value. If we find what we want great, if not, we have spent a day together and enjoyed the company and met a lot of neat folks. We have been out since midnight, home for a drop off then back out.. buying a serger!!! I would love the pans!
holiday shopping is completed! get to sit back, get caught up with reading and enjoy the day.
No Black Friday shopping in our house but we may put up the tree. Love the cookware.
I did Black Friday once, years ago, never again.
I help a friend of mine with her Christmas craft/antique sale for 2 days.
I am only visiting JC Penney for Black Friday and luckily the sale is all day long! LOL I need my beauty sleep…I never do the early bird stuff! – Karen
I will be doing a little on-line shopping today and I may go out later this evening when the rush is over.
I am staying snuggled in my bed, shopping online. I will go out for breakfast with my hubby this morning though :)
Tracy
I am terrified of black Friday!! Some of those shoppers are crazy! I do love the online Black Friday deals!
black friday….i’m working today! isn’t that the pits????
This is the first year I’ve slept in! It felt great to wake up refreshed and not freezing outside of a door! None of my family had anything on a black Friday list.
I plan on staying in my jammies all day today, but that won’t stop me from shopping online!!
I have NO DESIRE to go shopping today….unless it ‘s online!
Would love to win this cookware. I need it badly!
Thanks for the opportunity
Want to but the wallet won’t let me!
After working 2 years in a retail store, over the holidays I am ANTI black friday shopping. I was pretty much against it before that as well, but that was the nail in the “coffin” so to speak.
Unfortunately, I have to work today. However, I will cyber shop today. :) . My sister and I used to do our black Friday run together. I wish she lived closer so we could do it every year! Thanks for the chance to win this beautiful set!
Veery Nice!
I do not go out for Black Friday shopping! I live in a small town and prefer to shop with local merchants. I do occasionally shop online in the comfort of my home in my pjs with my coffee!
What a great xmas present that would be for the Mr.!! We dont usually go out on BF, but if its not too bad out I really want a 6 foot tree this year!!
-Ali
I’m like a lot of the others here–online shopping is the only way to go! Or not go. ;) This cookware set would definitely be a reason to fight the crowds though!
My daughter and her man go every year, while I watch the kids, of course! She picked up a lap top for me. Yea!
i think i’m staying in for the first time ever this year. i may have overdone the shopping a little in the past few weeks… i don’t have too many funds to work with today! hehehe.
this cookware set is beautiful! words cannot express how amazing it would be to replace my one skillet and one pot with this.
1 year old at home…Parenting job never takes time off. Someday! Someday! I will get up in middle of night and try it. Kind of sounds like a fun thing to do…once ;-)
My sister-in-law and I have always wanted to brave the early morning Black Friday crowd, but so far the closest I’ve been is by going later in the day to see what is left. :) Oh and I’m a big fan of cyber Monday as well!
Absolutely NO shopping on Black Friday! I am still in a turkey coma! Although I am temped to head out to experience it…. maybe not.
Thanks for the opportunity to win! I so need new cookware!!!!
Stacey
I decided to stay home and sleep in on this Black Friday. I will probably regret not going out shopping, so I will have to make up for it on Cyber Monday!
I’m going to try to support the small business around us, so no black friday shopping for us. Planning on buying more gift cards and homemade things for my family.
I went out right before work (got downtown at 6:30, done by 7!) and I might swing through the stores again later, but no midnight shopping for me, thank you very much!
