Cool New Features on the Recipe Blog!

I just added some *really* cool new features to my Recipe Blog that will greatly enhance your recipe browsing experience here at kevinandamanda.com! :D

Here’s a quick run down all all the new features!

Rating: Rate your favorite recipes on a 1 to 5 star scale. The highest rated recipes will show up on the right in the sidebar. Rate the recipes by clicking the stars underneath the recipe title! :)

Most Popular: Also on the right in the sidebar are the top 5 Most Popular recipes. The most popular recipes are automatically updated and calculated (somehow) by the number of views and comments the recipe receives.

Email to Friend: Know someone who might be interested in this recipe? Email it to a friend! It sends the recipe along with the pictures and a comment from you, directly to their email. Go ahead and email one to yourself to try it out! It’s fun. :D

Print Recipe: No more dragging the laptop into the kitchen! All the recipes now have printer-friendly versions. Just click “Print Recipe” located at the bottom of every recipe to see the printer-friendly version of the recipe. From there, you can click “Print” down at the bottom of the page and it will automatically print it out for you! :)

So hurry on over and check out all the new features!!
Don’t forget to rate your favorite recipes. :)

And while you’re there, you may notice that I added 2 new recipes! :D These are two of my all-time favorites. :)

New Blog Design!

Check it out!! :D If you’re visiting this page, you may have noticed the new design! And if you’re just reading this in the email, you HAVE to come check out the new blog redesign! :)

This is something I’ve been wanting to do for forever, and I’m so happy with the way it turned out! Take a look around, everything’s different! What do you think? Is it still easy to read/navigate? Tell me truly! I can take it. ;) The new comment section is pretty cool, so be sure and check it out and leave me your thoughts! :)

And if you run into any bugs or quirks, please do let me know. With any new page design there are always kinks to be worked out! I tested the page in Firefox and Internet Explorer 7, and it works in both of those browsers. *whew*! :) Now, if you’re still using Internet Explorer 6, you need to update your browser! :) The sidebar won’t show up on the right if you’re still using IE6. It’ll be down at the bottom of page. So if you want to get with the times, click on the “Get Firefox” link wayyy down at the very bottom of this page to update your browser. You’ll love it! *And* you’ll be supporting this site. Isn’t that neat?

And stay tuned… I’ve got new recipes and new fonts to post! ;) Coming soon…

Thanks for looking! :)
