Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Nutella Oreo Cookies are the ultimate dessert recipe. They’re so rich, decadent, and all around delicious!

Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/4 heaping cup Nutella
  • 1 large egg
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons brewed coffee, espresso, or water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 12 Oreo cookies, lightly crushed

Instructions

  1. Add peanut butter, Nutella, egg, and sugars to the workbowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Beat for 2 minutes on medium-high speed to cream. Stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl if needed.
  2. Then add cocoa powder, coffee, vanilla, and baking soda and beat for 1-2 minutes on medium-high speed until the ingredients are well combined. Add the crushed Oreo pieces and stir to combine. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Using a medium (1.5 tbsp) cookie scoop, drop dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, about 2 inches apart. Flatten the dough slightly.
  4. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. They firm up more as they cool; don’t overbake which is easy to do with dark-colored cookies. Store in an airtight container at room temperature on in the refrigerator for up to one week, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.

i made them and make sure u don’t break the Oreos too much cuz it’ll dissolve in the batter when cooked. It was a good recipe. I would definitely 1/2 cup Nutella next time because I didn’t taste it in the cookie. Or stuff it in the middle.

Hi Victoria! I probably wouldn’t make this particular recipe if you don’t like peanut butter. This cookie is very peanut buttery! You *could* try replacing the peanut butter with Nutella or Biscoff, but I can’t guarantee the results. Happy baking!

This is a great recipe! I’ve made them twice already (once with water, once with coffee) and loved both. If anyone is baking at high altitude, all I did was cut the baking soda in half to 1/4 tsp. I gave one batch as a thank you gift to a friend and she said they were gone in two days.

    Hi Amanda!
I made this the other night and did not have the same beautiful results as you did, even after refrigerating for said time they spread all over the pan like a mud puddle! Do you think that altitude/humidity has anything to do with it? I am in the Pacific NW.

Oh my goodness — these cookies look EPIC!!! You seriously have a gift for combining everything I love into one delicious dessert. Love them! :)

Thanks Amanda for trying this recipe and I am so glad you did – because your cookies turned out beautifully!!! Wow, I am so wanting to reach through the screen right now and grab one. Or three!

Kevin has great taste in cookie-picking! I am so glad you guys loved these.

Thanks again, Amanda! :) Pinned of course!

Wow oh wow!! Those look incredible! Of course they had to be from Averie’s book!! Every last recipe I have seen that had been posted from her book are incredible. These look like a chocolate lovers dream!

  8. Becki's Whole Life

These look ridiculously good! Like they would just melt in your mouth. I really like that measuring cup/shot glass that you are using. That would be particularly good with little ones as its sometimes hard to measure liquids with tablespoons.

  9. Southern Gal

Well, you’ve done it again. Oreos, peanut butter plus Nutella!? I tried to avoid clicking over here when I saw the title of your post, but I’m weak. ;)
