Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Fudge Swirls

This delicious Banana Pudding Ice Cream recipe is made with fudgy chocolate peanut butter swirls. It’s the perfect sweet and refreshing summer dessert!Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Fudge Swirls

I have a husband who is obsessed with all things Banana, Peanut Butter, and Chocolate. I am always looking for ways to incorporate his favorite flavor trifecta in treats for him. Ice cream is one of his favorite desserts of all time, so this easy, no machine required Banana Pudding Homemade Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls was perfect!

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

If you’ve never made this easy, two-ingredient ice cream, you must absolutely put it on your must-make list before summer ends! :) Here’s how I jazzed it up with banana, peanut butter, and chocolate.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Heavy cream and sweetened condensed milk are the two main players in this recipe, then you can add whatever flavors and toppings you want to create your perfect ice cream. I added bananas, banana pudding, peanut butter, hot fudge, and mini Nilla wafers to make Banana Pudding Ice Cream.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Banana Pudding Ice Cream Recipe

Just start with sweetened condensed milk, and add it to a large bowl, big enough for all your toppings! :)

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Add some banana cream jello… Thanks to my lovely assistant and hand model hubby here! He was really excited about this homemade ice cream. :)

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Whisk the instant pudding into the sweetened condensed milk until dissolved. I thought I could do this with a spatula. Hahahaha. Um, no. You might even want to use a KitchenAid or mixer here! I made Kevin take over. :)

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Next add in some sliced bananas, for texture. Everything’s totally optional here. You can add whatever you want! :)

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Some crushed mini Nilla wafers. So addicted to these darn cookies!

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Now with a mixer, whip your very cold heavy cream until it looks like whipped cream. Then fold it into the sweetened condensed milk mixture.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Now before all this started, I placed a bowl with 1/2 cup peanut butter in the freezer to harden. Kevin specified that he wanted this ice cream to just have swirls of peanut butter, not be completely peanut butter flavored. ;)

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

So just pinch off teaspoon-size dollops of peanut butter and fold them into the ice cream for perfect peanut butter swirls. Next do the same with the room temperature hot fudge topping for dreamy fudge swirls.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

That is IT you guys!! Pour it all into a two-quart container and freeze overnight.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

Can I tell you how hard it is to wait for this?! Go ahead and sneak a bite now though. Quality control and all.

Banana Pudding Ice Cream with Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fudge Swirls

And when it comes out, you have an ultra creamy, ultra dreamy ice cream that’s 100% custom made and perfect for your palate!

I made this today (minus the peanut butter) and I’m anxiously waiting for tomorrow morning so I can finally try it! It’ll be my breakfast!

  2. Veronica M.

Can’t wait to try this. Yum! I think this would be good with Biscoff spread instead of peanut butter. Love the tip of freezing the peanut butter and hot fudge before hand so it would swirl into ice cream.

Ooh, just one flavor is tough! Usually something along the lines of Oreo/Butterfinger/Reese’s/Fudge…… =) This banana/PB/fudge combo looks amazing though! Definitely “pinned” and will try!

We make your no machine ice cream all the time. I loooove oreos, chocolate syrup (to make it choc ice cream), and some hard shell to make fudge swirl. But recently we tried some without the sweetened condensed milk and subbed honey instead for a more natural sweetener – soooo good.

My husband and I are like your husband! We love peanut butter but prefer it to have strips of thick peanut butter or bites. When you posted that last ice cream recipe, I actually made a chocolate/peanut butter swirl by taking peanut butter and freezing it in strips on wax paper and then pushing it into the ice cream just before I put it in the freezer to freeze. It was incredible.

  51. Mia Ferreira

  83. Jenn T.

When I was breastfeeding my 3rd child, I had huge PB cravings. I’d just scoop it out on top of chocolate ice cream! My favorite combination is a dark, dutch chocolate ice cream with PB swirls (thick swirls!) and maybe, if I’m in the mood, some marshmallows, too. (But no nuts – don’t like nuts in my ice cream!)

  84. Miranda

I’m a Cookies and Cream lover – so I always go for Oreos in my homemade K&A ice cream. If I’m feeling ambitious, I also add brownies and caramel. So sinful. So good.

  85. Katie P

While the banana ice cream you made looks absolutely amazing, I’m deathly allergic to bananas, so that one is unfortunately out of the question. I’d have to say that blueberries with crumbled bits of homemade graham-cracker crust mixed into vanilla ice cream would be my choice. While I haven’t tried this yet as the inspiration was reading about Smuckers’ new blueberry topping, I’ll be trying this out soon. Like, today. :)

  86. Tammy

There is no doubt this recipe rocks. It is hard to go wrong with peanut butter ;). My favorite toppings for ice cream include some crushed Butter Fingers, chocolate syrup, nuts, and whipped cream. All of them at once. Every time. Makes a girl happy. Especially a pregnant girl :)

I love a good vanilla ice cream with a hot or warm topping…and oreos…chocolate…caramel…well, you get my drift!

Sweet and salty! Hmmmm.. maybe a new flavor combo could be caramel with crushed pretzel pieces? I’m already craving it!!!

  91. Esther T.

I think my favorite combo has to be either red wine/chocolate or raspberries/chocolate. Adore both!
I, like you, am not a big fan of banana pudding, but my son-in-law is. He also loves chocolate and peanut butter, so I’m gonna give the ice cream a try and surprise him!

  107. Gina M.

I enjoy banana and salted caramel with nuts! I usually will top vanilla bean ice cream with bananas and Trader Joe’s Fleur de Sel caramel sauce, and then whatever nut I have on hand…cashews are delicious. In fact, I could probably put all of those ingredients in your 2 ingredient ice cream!! yum. :)

  108. Jacqui

I am exactly like Kevin! My favorite flavor combination ever is chocolate, peanut butter and banana! It cannot be beat :-)

  109. Susan LP

This ice cream sounds amazing! I love all things with sweetened condensed milk. I have a can of it in my fridge for making the most delicious ice coffee ever!

  117. Melinda

I love salty-sweet and crunchy-creamy combos. It’s difficult to choose just one flavor, but since that’s what you asked…today, I’d have to say my favortie combo is salty caramel with pieces of Twix or Biscoff cookies :)

  118. Cathy

My grandson would absolutely love the banana and peanut butter one, but me just give me a jar of caramel and the jar of walnuts in sauce….mmmmmmm.

  127. Averie @ Averie Cooks

Amanda this looks amazing and so clever! Fave combo would be vanilla with chocolate and caramel swirls and chunks of toffee. Today. Could change tomorrow.

  128. Wendy W.

Oh. My. WORD. I am seriously considering taking the rest of the day off so I can make this ice cream … and I just GOT here. Peanut butter ice cream is my favorite … although plain old vanilla with peanut butter sauce is pretty darn awesome, too :)

  142. Erin @ Texanerin Baking

Can’t enter the contest but I love that Kevin specified that he only wanted swirls (me too!) :) All I get from my husband when asked what he’d like is, “Eh, I don’t care. Whatever.”

I love that this comes out of the freezer creamy! I’ve been making a lot of frozen yogurt and it’s always hard as a rock after it’s been in the freezer overnight. And this sounds like an amazing flavor combination. Wow.
